      @@ricktrue8441 it's not horrible, its unnoticeable to me because i listen to music and this car has the best sound system on the planet. There's literally speakers above your head.
      Also, comfort mode feels like a Lexus IS and is quiet af. Which is great. Sport + sounds like a screaming Japanese monster and wants to rip your head off when you're taking turns, good luck getting it to understeer, it won't unless you're going 70+ mph.
      Every fl5 owner is either a kid or adult who purchased the wrong car and is now clinging to the excuse " i like the type R seats". But they feel very insecure when they hear the exhaust of the DE5 because they realize they bought the wrong car.
      Just my insight, I've owned mine 6 months. My only complaint is the parking sensors(another awesome thing that's non existent on the boy racer civic) don't sense curbs in the front. With 4 inches of ground clearance, a curb can take out your bumper.

    5'7" and 140 lb is far from being on the limit for the CTR seats. That's absurd. I'm 6'1" and 210 lb with shoulders and absolutely love the FL5 seats, as do all of my larger friends. For a sport seat, Honda did a brilliant job of shaping them to fit a wide range of humans. The Mk3 Focus RS seats and Porsche carbon buckets are what I would consider on the tight side, for some context.

    I traded in my CW FL5 for an Integra Type S partly because of a problem that's also evident in this video: The hatch of the Champ White Type R is unacceptably more yellow in colour than the rest of the rear. Really preferring my Type S as a daily street car, with the added benefit of its exhaust personality. The Type R's seats and +R gauge would give it the advantage on the track though. For those who are older and/or don't live on a racetrack, the Type S is likely the better car.

    I went with the CW Type R. Looked at both beforehand but the CTR is the one to get. ITS has more premium materials, great sound system, better exhaust, and great styling. However, the FL5 just feels more special. The seats are far better and add to the experience, I actually like the stiffer suspension and log R data, and the interior and exterior styling is more timeless and appealing. Adding the heritage color and more track focused feel and it was the clear choice to me. Much more of a unicorn to find too. It took a year to get a dealership to agree to a CW CTR with no markup, but my local dealers have many ITS at the higher MSRP. Type R will likely hold value better as well. In the end they are both a pair of awesome twins and anyone would be lucky to have either.

    Borh cars are great, no doubt. However, price is not a factor, as someone mentioned in the comments. If you've been looking to purchase, you already know that you can get the Type S for MSRP or less, while the Type R is still selling at over MSRP (lucky you if you can get one at MSRP). If you want the burbles like the Type S in the Type R, you don't have to buy a $2000 exhaust; instead buy a Hondata Flaspro and unlock the ECU. You can add the burbles like the Type S or you have two more options for more aggressive burbles. You'll also get more power and can eliminate rev hang (both cars have serious rev hang) amongst other features that you cam enable. Lastly, the seats are way better in the Type R and it is made in Japan, which may be why the fit/finish is slightly better. Again, both are great and you would be happy with either.

    Drove both. Type R feels like you’re driving something special and has a sense of occasion. Type S feels like a normal car. Likely due to the R red carpets, R seats, s2000 like gauge cluster with shift lights, assembled in Japan, and the R’s history.

    Both are awesome and great for someone cross shopping. However, most reviewers compare vehicles to get likes to make money and not give unbiased reviews. Honda is an international manufacturer and some products are only for North America like Ridgeline, pilot, passport, ODYSSEY, Accord, and of course Acura products. America labour cost make American made Honda products very expensive with less quality in some areas. Type R is Japanese made for Asian and European countries and Australia and so follow international standards for sounds and emissions. Type S Integra is Made for America by Americans and so less restrictions but very expensive. Another thing reviewers fail to mention is Acura is a premium Honda meaning more than but not a luxury brand often compared to like Mercedes or BMW just like those are not compared to Bentley or rolls Royce.

      Liftbacks are considered hatchbacks, as the cargo storage is part of the interior cabin and not a separate trunk.

    King of the hot hatch is the Kona N

      I'd argue that the Kona is in a different class as it's an SUV - it's also unfortunately out of production. We do love the Elantra N a lot though!

    The car that isn't a liftback or sportback sedan.

    • @GCCarsCA
      @GCCarsCA  Месяц назад +1

      Not quite sure what you mean. Both of these are technically hatchbacks (although I find liftback more accurate).

    • @ii_dynasty
      @ii_dynasty Месяц назад

      @GCCarsCA The integra basically takes the SI sedan and gives it a liftback while the Civic continues to use the hatchback variant for the type r. Both the Civic Sedan(184) and Integra(186) are longer than the type r(181). Styling just makes both cars look similar.
