Have spent hours trying to wirelessly connect my Samsung S22 to my new VW T Roc. VW dealership could solve it either. Tried your fix and bingo works. many thanks!!😁🤓
bro this honestly makes me mad lol! I haven't had android auto working in my Hyundai for literally 6 months and this instantly solved the issue. Before it was just freezing and constantly disconnecting. Thank you so much!
Bro!!!! Thanks. Literally it was exactly as you stated. It was on default on my brand new Tucson and it was doing my head in. I knew someone on RUclips would have the solution.
2019 camaro with 8 inch touchscreen using the AA wireless dongle work perfectly fine for two-and-a-half years until now when I purchase a new phone the z fold 5 now the AA wireless dongle just keeps searching phone and disconnecting and I haven't checked yet but I believe my galaxy watch 5 ( bluetooth ) is causing the problem.
Can you solve my problem: Built in radio automatically starts. My mobile is connected via BT. I play songs, can see songs on AA screen. When I went to record using my mobile phone and open camera.... music started playing in car cat-orange-whistling. When I stopped camera, music gets turned off. Do not know which GHOST is got into my car recently!
For my car which was a 2020 toyota camry i had to go into menu WHILE phone is plugged in. And click projection/Android auto then i found that setting. By going into regular car settings and clicking setup and then projection it doesnt show up
Mine is on "always" and used to work reliably but within the last few weeks AA will not start automatically. I have to go to the menu and select it to get it on my car screen.
Great video bro! It defiantly helped on my wife's A3, I'm supposed to take delivery of a 2016 TT S-line this week , was wondering if you know if it comes with android auto built in and if not is it easy to get it activated or installed? also I like your Red air vent rings, do you mind sharing the link on where to get them , thanks and keep up the good work!
Thanks bro the s-line should come with android auto/ apple as standard, if not you can search on ebay. I got mine done remotely. The red rings are also from ebay and very easy to fit. I would also recommend OEM mounts phone holder which is a very nice fitting phone holder. Ill have a video about that soon
Mine connects wirelessly straight away but it disconnects in about 10 seconds unless I plug it. Checked this too and it was already set to always. It's driving me mental...
After having these issues for years with 2 cars, this fixed it for 2 days. I was so excited until today when I became disconnected twice again. IDK what else to do. Gonna try shorter USB cords next.
@@druztalks3651 So it did work yesterday after it disconnected twice, but then I went home and researched some more and saw about using shorter cables and also about wireless connection. I ordered a 2 and 3 foot cable. I currently have a 6 foot cable. As far as the wireless, I hadn't heard of it before.- but saw it while doing yet more research. I dunno if my car is capable or not but I don't think my phone is. I have an S9 and am upgrading this week to an S22. So now I turned off the "allow wireless" thing wherever that is ( I struggle finding the right menus) and it worked twice now in the car. All I know is that I LOVE Android Auto when it works. I can use the streaming thing but it doesn't sound as good and the car's built in GPS sux! I am going on a long road trip in October and it would be nice to be able to use Google Maps and have my Spotify on the big screen! SO FRUSTRATING!
I am struggling with this issue, using a Samsung s21 ultra with a 22 plate peugeot 2008 allure premium. Tried everything new different cables / updated apps ect nothing. Apple carplay works no problem but android auto refuses to function. I ve even tried Samsung cables, any advice guys would be be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance
@@Pjb83 go to the reviews of android auto on Google play. You will see 100s of people with this same issue. The only way I could get mine fixed after the update is as shown in the video
@@druztalks3651 been reading through them extensively it's a joke its as if Google doesn't know how to undo this mess. Quick question may not make any difference to my own situation, what usb type c cable are you using. Cheers
It certainly didn't hurt, but also ensure you have the fastest cable. I have an MG which lags when maps are used... So AA is basically just a music player in my car.
At last. 90% waffle and 10% suggested remedy. Settings can be entered directly on your mobile in the home! AA is just a rubbish product. I would suggest you just stick the mobile to the screen and dump AA. Tomtom works properly on the mobile without dilutions to comply with Google requirements which are simply anti-competitive constraints to force use of their rubbish maps app. Easier all round.
I can't believe this fixed it. I was going literally insane. Thank you!
Lol no worries

No worries bruv glad to help
For me the fix was - I had to open my mobile's notification about the connection setting and change it to MIDI (the default was file transfer).
Just tried this fix and it worked first time
Thanks first video that actually fixed my problem

Nooooooooo I spoke too soon. Still keeps disconnecting. Will have to keep looking for a solution.

@@druztalks3651 will give that a try
Thanks a lot, really appreciate the tip. Mine was erratic, I hope this works.

Unfortunately with older cars on the new utterly stupid android auto update it doesn't work at all. It's a well known problem

I am one of the 99%. 😂 i changed it now. Hopefully it is OK now.
Thank you so much, working everything now.
Glad that you got it to work
Well I can connectwith know problem, but I'm having is sound issue for when Im using navigation??? Anything with that thanks in advance.
No can't help with that sorry
I had similar troubles with sound output for navigation. It seems that you need to wait 1minute before start navigation. For me it works in 99%
TThank you. All the best
How do you fix it???
It doesn't work, mine was on always.
Thank you 👍
No problems
No Android Auto is DEAD it has been shut OFF
I am praying that this works.
It works but the latest update causes older phones to lose connection
Just changed from default setting, will report back.
