I am glad we are all not alone in this issue. Tonight i noticed when i turn on and off my headlights Google maps is not going into dark mode when using Android auto. Would be nice if they did the updates over the air. Make life so much easier.
Great video mate. I was the guy that was talking to you about this in the Scirocco owners club. Glad to know theres a fix not too far off. At the minute the workaround ive been using is to unplug and replug my USB-C cable going to my phone, which fixes the issue whenever it arises. Obviously not ideal but im quite wary about downloading APKs to my phone as they can quite easily be modified by 3rd parties when downloaded from mirror sites.
Have had this issue in the last few days, thought it was just me going mad! It happens for me in android auto when playing music and navigating at the same time, before each google maps instruction it pauses the music for about 3 seconds, gives the instruction and then music comes back at significantly lower quality. Hope it can get fixed soon!
There is another way, open android auto on your phone click the build number a few times, to get you in developer mode, then select the dots in the top right, select application mode then select release, worked for me, my zlink hadn't worked for a long time, now up and running
Hello Dave. I have an Q53PRO. I’m using Apple CarPlay. The issue I’m having is that the volume is low on the head unit when streaming music. Then when I use a navigation app the volume will be low until a few seconds after the Navi gives guidance, then the volume is off for 2-3 seconds the it is overall louder than before.
@@whatsdavedone104 I tried it and that didn’t work. The volume was still the same. The only time the volume gets louder is if I have a navigation app on (Waze or Google Maps or whatever) after the voice gives guidance. Then the music will play at the same volume it was at before, after a few seconds it pauses the music for about 2-3 seconds then it plays a lot louder and fuller than it was. Which is way better. It will stay like that until I turn the Car and radio off.
@@whatsdavedone104 I know that probably it is not going to help but try branded usb cable or search on google is there any alternative for zlink. I don't know what is worse, stock head unit with android auto or aftermaket😀

In the mean time just roll back android auto, like I have done in my video and the issue won't be there....hopefully the update isn't to far away 😀

Did you you reset the unit after changing the settings?
I can't even get the wireless connection to work properly. I've tried everything! Only works like 1 out of 50 times Only works on usb..
I have had the same problem. They even replaced the radio and the zlink stopped working. This might be a software issue. I am actually shocked.
Which headunit are you running? My android auto is faultless since this video was posted
Which dab app you using mate?
Dab-z is the only DAB app that work with android 12. I prefer DAB+ but won't work
HOW DO YOU GET IT TO WORK ON BLUETOOTH!!! FFS
Turn on WiFi hot-spot, turn on Bluetooth connection and then open Zlink....if that doesn't work contact the seller
Hi, do you turn on wifi hotspot for the phone?@@whatsdavedone104
