    Grandma tip: If your parents don’t live near by when decorating the tiny cabin try and fit a space where your kiddos can sleep too! When their grandparents are visiting they can have sleepovers! Maybe a pull out sofa or the table can fold down to a bed? This way they can have sleepovers with their grandparents!

He saw his big brother staying with us and he cried because he didn’t want to go home! He wanted to stay with us like his brother. It broke my daughter’s heart to let him sleepover…but he was a happy happy boy and did amazing! He’ll be 4 in a few months and still loves to sleepover! So, does his older brother who is almost 7! We make lots a wonderful memories with them! ❤️

      @@heatherclayton-callaghan4270 Got that right. Sofa cushions on the floor make for an indoor camping set up for little ones. We loved doing that. Heck, we would just put blankets on the floor and then sleep on top of those. We were perfectly comfortable, seeing how it was nothing for us to be found having fallen asleep on the floor while playing with our toys. Sleeping on the floor never hurt us ..... mom would just put a blanket over us if we felt a bit chilly. And I can't tell you how many times we all slept on the floor at a slumber party, you know, a bunch of giggly girls getting together on a Friday night to watch TV, spin records (we're talking back in the 50's and 60's here), trying out the latest dance moves, giggling, talking about boys, dissing teachers, etc., until the wee hours of the morning until we fell asleep from exhaustion.

    When cutting out sections on a container like that, leave a couple points of contact on each side as you go around with the grinder...like small tabs holding the cut-out in place. This will avoid the flexing of the metal. Then you can go back and zap those out real quick.

    • @JRs-Garage
      @JRs-Garage Год назад +6

      Hahaha I was thinking that about the small connection points as well! 🤷🏼‍♂️
      I was also wondering if spencer uses Zip cut wheels way less binding and cuts 10 times faster it’s hard to tell on the video if he uses them or if he’s using the 1/8 thick grinding wheels 🤷🏼‍♂️
      Walter zips work great!

    Love your channel! Tip for stabilizing a Christmas tree when you have little ones or cats. Get a big plastic storage container and pop 4 holes at the bottom that will accommodate your tree stand legs. Place your stand in the container. Pop a hole in the cover. Fill the container with your heaviest books or random heavy tools. Put the cover back on and drop your tree trunk through the hole. The tree is so stable that you can have 7 or 8 cats climbing in it at the same time. This happens often in my house. Good luck!

    • @tinydancer7426
      @tinydancer7426 Год назад +4

      Put an eye bolt in the ceiling above the tree and run a length of nylon fishing line from the top of the tree to the eye bolt. No way it will topple over that way. Yeah, it may destine the tree to be put up in only that location every year, but that way it will be the only eye bolt in the ceiling in the house.
      We had to do that to keep our cats from toppling over the cat "tree". The cats were then free to climb the tree with abandon and hit it at top speed when they were racing and chasing each other around the house.

I want to hug your two little ones & tickle them every time I see them. You’re experienced enough at this point to know any Christmas tree ornaments placed below the toddler tide line WILL mysteriously move around. As for Nativity sets? All the animals huddled around and pressing into the manger. Glue down a removable baby. 😂 This grandfather has a two year old granddaughter and a three year old grandson who visit regularly. We’re still child-proofed magnetic cupboard locks are a great invention.

    Glad you folks are working on a new project! When we were done with our house, my late wife brought me a goat for my birthday (as a landscape assistant). She ended up becoming Mama's pet! I, of course, now had to built her a new "condo" as it was called by friends. They also pointed out that it was large enough that if my wife ran me out of house, I could sleep with the goat! (Spencer, are you reading this?) Then she wanted to get a rabbit as a companion to the goat. Ummmm no. Also.... the music choice is outstanding!

    Spencer; How to be a Pun Master:
    1. Accept that no pun is. actually good, but that the true nature of a good pun is to be so terrible that it becomes good.
    2. Say every pun that occurs to you.
    3. Always laugh at your own puns even if no one else is. (especially if no one else is.)
    4. Know that you are hilarious. puns are a limitless resource and you have taken it as your duty to bring this gift to humanity. You are a hero.

    Thanks guys for the bit of nostalgia. Seems we both have the same Xmas tree ~ except we bought ours in Dubai for Xmas 2006 when our daughter was 1 1/2. She’s 17 and a Senior in HS . This is her last Xmas before leaving back to the USA for university in September 2023. We’ll be putting up our tree next weekend.😊

    Hello...thought...seems like it would be both prudent and relatively easy to dig a hole get a small cargo container, coat the outside with flex steel and drop it in the hole. Add a couple vents, put a door on one end with steps going down to it, and bury it leaving the end with steps open of course. It would serve both as a storm shelter/food storage.

    Point the the guest house towards the waterfront it will look 1 million times better you make patios around it and down in to a dock . I'd say if I had the money I'd get a nice 10ft aluminum boat with a small 9.9 horsepower motor. Stock the pond with trout or which fish you'd like a couple of years and your family could go fishing feed the fish. Or build a tree house or a fort corner . It's like a tree house but like lookout above the yard imagine the views and camera angles you can get.. high above life uncontained. Also that storm shelter is good idea hour music choices were great. I love the effort Spencer puts in to his work and how MacKenzie can go a a inch at time . Lol 😆 🤣 😂 great content 👌👏👍
