I'm tickled by how you are blown away every time you hear a new Beatles song. Actually I'm jealous since I've heard them all for 50 years...
Yessir..lol
Harrison wrote some of the best Beatles songs, hands down.
Those of us who grew up with the Beatles and know every lick, lyric, musical phrase and vocal really love watching you kids discovering the greatest band of all time.
Carry on!
Once again Ringo knows exactly what is neeeded on drums.
The Beatles here as a brilliant backing band for George Harrison's friend Eric Clapton on lead-guitar. Harrison composed this classic Beatles-track.
Eric knew.
Harrison wanted a Friend in the Studio at that .point
There will never be another group to rival the Beatles.
Paul McCartney's Bass lines are the bedrock to this and many a Beatles song ,he is a master of the Bass guitar
Anyone who can make a Hofner violin bass sound good has to be a great bass player. Paul is playing a 6 string Fender bass on this track.
I agree with the bass from Paul...what a master musician and writer...but I'd say that the bedrock is Clapton playing
@@PastorOfMuppets74 Yes I would agree
I'm no expert but isn't Eric Clapton playing bass? One thing I know for sure is that Paul plays the piano intro which is brilliant as usual.
@@dennislindqvist8443 I am sorry but I don't know the answer to that question.
It's almost impossible to pick a favorite Beatles song. You just fall in love with all of it pretty much. There are other artists I feel strongly about but none of them can match the versatility that the Beatles brought to their art.
Your favorite Beatles song is always the one you are currently hearing.
The Beatles are EVERYTHING.
Modern, even today.
"I was not expecting this" Nair as you discover the BEATLES you will find this time and again, You cannot play one Beatle track or style and say I know the Beatles, growing up during their era it was always exciting to hear how their music developed and evolved. it's great to see other on the same journey.
Ringo's drumming on this superb, often overlooked, and Mc.Cartneys bass was really solid!! Clapton played lead on this song as a guest guitar player.
As has been noted in documentaries, George Harrison stated that the Beatles were not getting along well at that point- Eric (George's best friend and thief of his beautiful wife) popped into the studio while the recording was going on and the whole atmosphere changed. Everyone chilled the fuck out and this masterpiece is the result. Eric's voice is clearly heard in the chorus ...
George became a great writer and artist, the rest of the Beatles didn't want to do this until Clapton came in to play lead, George wrote Something which is the most covered song ever written.
What might've been if Paul and John had a little less ego about them. It's a shame but All Things Must Pass is a masterpiece nevertheless.
Yesterday is the most covered song
Excellent lead guitar here by Mr. Eric Clapton. A very close friend of George’s.
Even though he stole George's beautiful wife...
@@mikezak8812 a wife George didn't mind getting stolen
@@bramsteenhoek2674 Well, I’m not so sure he didn’t mind but he wasn’t exactly faithful to her either. He cheated with Ringo’s wife also. 😂
Esse fato de traição amorosa aconteceu anos depois dessa gravação.
Harrison had a fetish for friends' wives, apparently. Patti Boyd didn't care for that.
One of George, and The Beatles, gratest songs.
I would strongly recommend “Oh Darlin” if you like the heavier songs. Paul McCartney does some of the greatest vocals I’ve ever heard. The whole Abbey Road album is a masterpiece! They have no bad songs. ✌️
George has a great voice .he is so underrated..
'Traveling Wilbury's'.w/Dylan,Petty et.c...
Check out the cover of this with Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood, Dhani (George's son) and Prince !
It's almost creepy how much Dhani looks like his father.
There is rock, there is blues, there is jazz, there is fusion, there is rap, there is new age, there is big band - and there is That Beatles. They are their own genre of music. When people say to think outside the box The Beatles are the musical equivalent.
one of the best songs in history and I dare say that the best of the beatles
Certainly among the best
i would say either, Something, yesterday or let it be
The Beatles are beyond fantastic!! Hypnotic!! I experienced Beatlemania at 9 yes.old.. 67 now I'm a Beatle junky I love them love them!! And still can't get enough!! 2022!
I was so happy when the White Album came out & the guys were back playin guitar.......had no idea it was Clapton here, but it's not the only guitar tune on that album.
I am a bass player because of Paul McCartney. I was 14 when they came out. The best band ever.
Clapton and other greats cover this in spectacular fashion in the Concert for George (a year after his death).
George on vocals..
His best friend Eric Clapton is on lead guitar 🎸
Trust me. The LORD ABOVE was Rocking to this Masterpiece!
Around this time George Harrison and Eric Clapton wrote a song together called Badge.
When the eat,Es split up the were still all in their twenties. Now that is mind blowing
Great reaction! Some of their heavier songs include 'Helter Skelter', 'Yer Blues', 'Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey' & 'Birthday' (White Album), 'Revolution' (1967-1970 Blue Album or for even more guitar distortion, find the one where they are playing it in the studio), 'Hey Bulldog' (Yellow Submarine), 'Taxman' (Revolver), 'Don't Let Me Down' (prefer the rooftop version from 1969) and of course the great guitar solos by Paul/George/John (in that order) x 3 in 'The End' (Abbey Road). Enjoy!
Clapton is on lead, not even a Beatle but he can sure belt it out!
At last..i was waiting for some new Beatles reaction! Greetings from Italy
This is a George creation and the weeping guitar is played by George's best friend, Eric Clapton (Of Cream fame).
The "background guitar" you're talking about here is actually a really aggressive bass. Just so you know!
Top selling musicians of all time.
When they stopped touring they had much more time in the studio in 1967! They could experiment more. This song is lovely.
Eric Clapton was one of the few musicians to play on a Beatles song. Eric was George best friend and not a bad guitar player
You think..??
Not bad? 🤪
George Harrison is SO underrated....
Eric Clapton on the lead guitar...SWEET!
Written and sung by George Harrison…..
If you could only listen to One band for the rest of your life
I jut now got around to watching your video and it’s one of the best reactions I’ve ever seen on this great song.
Listen out for stunning contrast acoustic version of this song too. Also, try some raw and upbeat covers they did too in mid-60s: Slow Down, Matchbox, Rock and Roll Music, Leave My Kitten Alone.
My two favorites are A Day In The Life and Tomorrow Never Knows. You have listened to some great music but as someone who grew up in the 60s I’ve heard many obscure classics that nobody is reacting to and here’s a few. I Got A Line on You by Spirit, Easy Living by Uriah Heep, Fresh Air by Quicksilver Messenger Service, and you will love the video of Life During Wartime by the Talking Heads from the Stop Making Sense concert. Pick any one of these and see if they don’t rock. Almost forgot Moving in Stereo by the Cars.
you need too listen to side two of abbey road you wont be disappointed
While Eric Clepton plays the guitar.
The best for sure Eric Clapton on Lead Guitar
Eric Clapton plays lead guitar on this song so of course it was great!!!
Yes Eric played on George's song, just as an Orchestra played on Sergeant Peppers, Billy Preston on Get Back, and David Mason played Trumpet on Penny Lane...
lennon didnt support george's stuff, but it wasnt a problem
If you thought “I Want You/She’s So Heavy” was raucous, you’re really going to be surprised by “Helter Skelter”. 😂😂😂
One of my favorite Beatles songs. That is Sir Eric Clapton on guitar...not credited, he was doing a favor for his pal George. And with Sir Paul McCartney we have two Knights playing on this song lol
Three Kights - Sir Ringo too
@@philippamalherbe4111 Absolutely 😉
Definitely one of their best songs, and probably George's best song ever.
Try:
Yer Blues
Hey Bulldog
Glass Onion
Get Back
Heater Skelter
Oh Darling (crazy vocals)
Revolution (single version rocks harder than the White Album one)
Day Tripper (earlier rocking song)
Old Brown Shoe
Revolver has several good rock guitar based songs too...Taxman, She Said She Said, And Your Bird Can Sing, Dr Robert.
They could have been a hard rock band and one of the best if they had wanted.
Thanks for the videos, but, Please play thru to the end of the tracks. With the Beatles, there are often surprises at the end, plus when you don't 'play thru', it makes Fab fans bristle.(very minor crit.) i do really like what you are doing, and will return often, please keep exploring the Beatles/ Beatle solo music. Much reward waits!
Will do!
Listen nectar both sides and you will see how they influenced so many other bands. Listen to the words. They weren't overlooked in my day but today nobody know of nectar remember the future..
I dis agree they were the best. They even contributed their harmony to the everly brothers.
Hi buddy. Get high quality headphones and listen from to beginning till the end of the Beatles career.
More Beatles pls
Young man....when you listen to a Beatle's song...LISTEN TILL THE ABSOLUTE END!!
😏they owned us ,
I note that you are not using and kind of headphones or ear buds? Why not, dude?
Try the weird side of the beatles
You know my name (look up the number)
Also let it be. Sgt pepper. White album. Help. Hard days night. Meet the Beatles. Early Beatles. Yesterday and today. So really in recommending all of their albums. They were and are the greatest ever. I had 3 sons I could never turn onto the Beatles so I guess you are my defacto son
That's Eric Clapton on the guitar solo.
Imagine having George Harrison coming off the bench?!.. lol..
“Inverted” was a popular term for homosexuality in Britain in that era. He’s referencing Brian Epstein, IMHO. Great song, great reaction!
George Harrison singing lead, Paul McCartney singing harmony...
You just can´t rank their songs....the best one is always the one you are hearing by the moment.
the vibrato flange was at least partly enhanced in-studio...not that there's anything wrong with that.
Where the hell have you been. Keep playing Beatles. Try song YER BLUES
The Dirty Mac Band version is a good listen.
You're hearing Eric Clapton on lead guitar
Clapton did solo. Harrison's song.
I like the tribute with prince better. Jeff Healey the blind guitarist so talented and underated musician.
Clapton in his younger days was a GOD.
Check out AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING
Listen to the Abbey Road album start to finish, you'll never regret it.
Wait! He's never heard this song before??????
Actually, they did make some bad music. Mostly on Beatles for Sale and Let It Be. But a bad Beatles song is very rare.
Eric clapton plays the guitar
None of the Beatles was on lead guitar.
Listen to the new George Martin, Love version. I'm better.
You keep cutting off songs before they are done. Very disrespectful too the music
