I recently found Generation Zero on sale on Steam and picked it up. This game is so freaking fun...and brutal. Do not expect "normal" game AI stupidity because this game will not meet those expectations. This AI is way smarter than the average bear. The robots will close and surround you if they spot you. If there are multiple bots, one will happily pin you down while the others flank you to get better shots on your position. Great game, I highly recommend it

Its still a great game. I am swedish and see the swedish terrain and read all swedish signs is so fun. I was a teen at that time its so nostalgic (spelling?) to be back 😂
It's a blast to play with a group of 3 or even more. I also thought the audio was pretty damn good.
The audio engineer deserves a raise!
Is it like a lobby kinda instance match making? or do you have to have a friend to play it with you? if so how alive is it?

i dont remember how i really got this game on my steam library. should be some kind of christmas crazy discount, but i am hooked. i am level 20 right now chasing those 5 crowns from soviet and eastern european weapons from cheap DLC. And freak those firebirds.

for me the main reason i dont play this much is that the missions are extremely bland i can only have enough fun running around

The DLC missions are way more interesting than the base game missions. Yes at this time the game feels more arcade driven than story driven, but the devs have been revamping everything in the map to lay the ground for future content.

this game would be super cool IF it have real multiplayer mode where you can battle player VS player also. Too many co-op and story based games out there already. We need more games like SCUM out there
Everything is a pvp game. Battle Royales dominate the marketplace. There are like 4 games just like this without the mechs that are pvp battle royales. Let us co op people have something without it being tainted with constant trolling and micro transactions.
Just played it, Sept 2023, looks really bad on ps4, graphics look like old halflife, 6 different enemies spread over 200 hours pf game play, models are super repetitive, I fall out of the map about every 300 meters. Its horrible.
Facts. Everyone hyped this game up and sure conceptually it’s fun and what not but it’s constantly glitching or crashing (especially in coop) enemies are just aimbot bullet sponges, even high tiered weapons with all the best attachments don’t feel at all impactful against bigger mechs. Game has potential but misses the mark in my opinion.
