One of the biggest reasons that I use team drives for our teams is that you can keep anybody but admins from being able to delete any files inside of shared drives. They can create and edit but cannot delete or remove. Great video 👌

Thank you for your videos - your enthusiasm is clear. I like the relative simplicity of the GSuite ecosystem. I still retain though an underlying discomfort with Google ultimately being an advertising company / privacy which holds me back. Do you have any thoughts on this ?
No particular concern - as their cloud apps are a very clear 2nd channel they have been building standalone from their advertising business

Using shared drive for several retail remodeling projects. Pictures, Design ideas, bids, blueprints, ledgers, to do lists, and even a quick access viewer almost like a mini website is all accessible to the team in one place. It is fantastic.

I have finally creating a naming convention for the files on gdrive. Now I am looking for a little form that helps me and others to apply the right convention when naming a file. I will probably buildi it with appsScrip, but was wondering if you ever came across this issue? Good show!

Great and inspiring Pete. I'm curious, for the first time I noticed that your videos have been cut to removes "ahhs, umms" and any time between you speaking. It's super effective and I'm just curious if you managed to automate this and which program you used to do it? Sorry if this question has been asked before. Thanks for the vid. I took your advice from the video after working out my cost per hour and watched this in 2x speed to save time :-)

Catching up on these really useful videos. One thing re Shared Drives is getting your brain around permissions, additive permissions with shared drive, and the situations that can cause havoc if the implementation is not correct. Would love to see a video on that if you have time.

I love the way you think...outsourcing the things that don’t bring you happiness. How did you get around using Google Home with a GSuite/GoogleBusiness account? They only connect to a free Google account.

We use SHARES DRIVE, but I need to know if we can sync our shared drive?
Sure can! Using Filestream
Can gsuit can restrict excel file in resharing with editor mode?
Yes. To do this, open the Excel file that you want to restrict. Click File>Share>On the Share with others dialog box, click the Advanced button>Allow anyone with the link to edit>Save.
Hi I went to that google cloud.. and on my business account - Google wanted an annual fee of 300.00 per entity. Not what was expected.. So we will wait until it is a feature of Workspace Standard

what happen when you stop paying the gsuite business price? they will delete all the shared drives? or it will keep the data safe but not add more in the shared drive?
You will lose access to the feature if you stop subscribing to that plan

So I have acces as an admin to a Google Business account and want to make a RUclips channel for this account. But I don't have acces to the password of this account. Is there a way of making a RUclips account as an admin?

Shared Drives is limited and very frustrating. You can’t go into Shared Drives to add attachments to emails or attach forms into certain programs.
With filestream it should work fine, and the forms updates are happening :)
Is there a Google Suite equivalent to a Trello or Wrike? it's own project management tool perhaps?
not yet but some basics are there in Chat right now

I am just subscribing to G-Suite which is now Google Workspace. I'm so confused. I pay 40 a month for something that I don't even understand. Your class is good, but you don't start at the beginning and you talk very fast. However, this was an excellent presentation to become familiar with the google environment, what is offered etc. I didn't even have a clue about these functions except hey google. Thanks.

i had just discovered your push and was an instant fan!
i had asked the question as i'm interested to serve data to a tv (static) over a work station so the operator at that station has a viewboard of happenings without having to refer to there device .... like a dashboard for that station....
i had tried to network multiple chromecast together but it got very crazy very fast...
eg. stream/cast a specific chrome browser tab to a specific tv (on the same network)
mostly ive reverted to having a seperate computer & monitor kit networking them all together... Not with Google Tables it might have gotten a bit easier!

I use workspaces for my business but help others with and donit for free, how can I monetize setting up ws for others, thing is, seems like businesses don't want to pay anything for this
