I go out of my way to help newbies because I know a lot of them struggle in the beginning. I've become quite an expert on Dragonspine because of it lol.
I remember when I first started playing I was so into the game that I spent 6 HOURS picking flowers and hitting trees before even thinking of going to the main story. Also remember spending like 100 to 200 hours just travelling before doing anything to progress the story.

Lol i kinda feel like that sometimes. I'm AR 55 and I've been playing for 2 months. My Main is Wanderer, i accidentally got him on his last rerun last month, early pity. I never experienced genshin that hard because of him but he really made me lazy like i tried to bench him and then it became so hard to explore. Anyways, I've been seeing a lot of videos where his Damage output is insane like big numbers not that big compared to other dps tho. But i can only get him to 31K highest, 22K consistently for a charge attack and a 9-11K for NA. I don't have his BIS Weapon and also don't have Widsith. I'm running him with Eye of Perception. I've been really so insecure of how much or little my damage output is but lately I've been more content. I can fight, defeat and clear enemies It's just not comparable to others. And i just got Neuvi the other week, early pity too. Videos on yt has him 30K to 100+K per CA tick. And i can even only do 9K😭 it really made me eager to farm more. F2P btw.
Before, when I was AR 15ish, I skipped the archon quest in monstat and went to go for all the waypoints and statues. Got an easter egg: if you get to places like Sumeru, The Casmn, or Liyue harbor when you’re low level or AR, under the title where it pops up when you get to a new place, it’ll say “extremely dangerous”. Even places where there are no monsters
As a late game player, I spend most of my time helping out newbies after doing my dailies. It's just fun to play vicariously through them. I've also started making new accounts with challenges placed on them which is fun too.
I will also add: don’t get over fixated with the game, specially with the artifact part. Farming the “perfect” artifacts can be quite the mental exhausting task. I had to quite the game for several months cuz it’s just sooo tiring. Genshin, at the end of the day, is a relatively easy game, and you don’t need all rolls in CD or CR just to keep an artifact. Put your mental health above everything else, and remember that Genshin is a game, not a job 😊
OMG, this is exactly what happened to me a month ago! I still find it hard to believe that I wasted nearly 50 fragile resins on TRASHY artifacts. Despite my anger and hatred for Genshin for a while, I continued to check in every day to complete my daily tasks. If only I could have just used my fragile resins on bosses, ley lines, or talent mats. Ugh. But I'm fine now, I have regained my passion and dedication to genshin again lol.
that last tip was actually so nice to hear cos as an ar59 player i literally have nothing else to do 😭 all my areas are 100% (and more . i need every primo for scaramouche), i have less than 10 fragile resin which im saving for future artifact domains, and all i can think of doing besides wait for patch event updates is.... farm for local specialties and enemy drops >
Guys also no worries about clearing abyss!! I’m AR 56 and I still haven’t managed to even complete the first chamber of floor 12, even with no stars!! take it at your own pace!!
It's a good idea to start spiral abyss early on. First 5 floors can be done quite early on and you get two free characters now by doing the earlier ones. You obviously don't need to do it right away, but it's not something you need to put off either. I think that's the only thing I disagreed with here
oh my gosh number 9 is so true!! When I first started playing genshin, I would level up ALL of my characters. Even the ones I don’t like because I always thought to myself, “one day you’ll need them” and wasting my xp cards (I don’t pay attention on what they’re called) on my characters that will never be used and then when I need to level up one of my main ones, I have none left 😂
Ah yes. I need this as an AR60 player with 2 years of experience playing this game and has fully built 28 characters with their own weapons and with decent artifacts. Jokes aside, the last tip is truly the most important one because it let's you enjoy the game a lot more. I hope that the new players will understand this.

As a late game player from 1.6 I wanted to say the last point is the truest for me, if you rush everything you’re not going to fully enjoy the game when you’re done with it, I’m still ar 57 and have most regions with low percentage of explorations which I don’t regret because I’m still enjoying the game
when i started i just chose to wish on limited banner even tho i didnt care about the charecter or the playstyle then i watched and learned how the banners work and i have barely used albedo that i got from the dragon spine update, but i feel kinda happy that i got him now because i am going to have itto and i know albedo is a good support for him.
Downloaded this game last January and decided to start playing it again this February after only playing once a month on average. This video has some greater advice as I was very confused on what I was suppose to do in the game in early stages so I've just been exploring and unlocking random characters. Completing main story quests is what I will probably do for a while as I think I left of just after completing the first act

Another tip, TLDR: Start farming Hero witts, ascension materials, talent material, boss materials and talent books first to level up your characters. Artifacts? farm that later when you hit AR45. Use whatever artifacts you have. That based on my experience playing this game for 2 years now.

When I was really new to the game, (I've only been playing for a month and a half) I walked all the way to Liyue from Mondstat to talk to Katheryne, and then didn't even unlock a teleport waypoint there. I never wanted to (and I still don't) let people join my world, I'm socially awkward and I don't know how to entertain them. The one time I ever let someone join was an Irl friend, and they taught me so many things I didn't know. For example, they taught me what waverider waypoints are, that you can teleport to domains & treat them as teleport waypoints, that domains & bosses have character ascension materials, etc. The only thing I ever taught them was that when using electro or pyro to fight fungus it changes their drop materials. I got Nahida at 40 pity, and that was something I only learned after fighting tons of them and finally checking the information on the enemy and reading about it.
1. The game kind of expects you to put some time in the beginning characters. Imo level 40 character and 40 weapon for when a domain may ask for a particular element to kind of socket them in. 2. Coop requests aren't always people who are looking to help. Sometimes they just need a material that they have run out of (Ore, local specialities, and even fish). Usually when coop is unlocked people just want these and you aren't paying attention to these yet. One day you'll might want to consider this too. Just be nice.
Been a month since i started, now at AR 34, and going slow with lots of farming for leveling up materials and talents. Yeah cant wait to reach AR45 and then farm and max out the artifacts and finish off the ALL the Quests available including Archons quest line. Thanks for this vid; been following most of the tips, though its still a good reminder for me.
I just started last week, and so far I I'm ar 29 and fighting childe. I hadn't watched anyone play the game before but I played breath of the wild which is similar so I wasn't too bad. I did 38 pulls for childe the other day and I didn't get him :( I got 3 heizous, and at least he isn't bad. I hope I can pull again for childe before he leaves. Great video!
In my opinion, ruin guards and hypostatis and more ruin guards were the best part of the game, it truly pushed your skills to the absolute limit and you could have only defeated it by pure gaming skills. Now that i am exactly AR 45 i try to lazily find artifacts(it still takes great amount of skills mind you since you are lv 80 and the enemy are lv 90) you just try to farm for artifacts which can easily one shot the enemy. But the main point is the concept of defeating bosses and your strategy completely changes since you are given a lot more features and powers.
Me as a new player at AR 50 with only 1 team consisting of the free characters you get and more than 200 wishes saved up for Hu Tao talking about my sanity 😂😂
I’m ar59 and I only recently started building all my characters 😭 all except layla are at least level 70 and I put a lot of effort into looking into viable builds for them (I have two long lists in my notes app of how many books i need to get them all up to 80, what artifacts they need and what weapon they’ll use) so I could try get better in abyss
Yeah that was like the first thing I did when I completed the first Archon, I went around finding the seven statues and if bumped into waypoint I got them.. it definitely helps later in the game when you want to teleport everywhere making the journey quicker.. also definitely if passing a domain at least open the door and back out as it’ll turn into a waypoint too, also this will open up the possibility of needing certain items you can just find them in the handbook or looking for source when clicking the item you need and if you have the domain you can just teleport there and bam do it a few times add up those items upgrade weapons, artifacts, or ascending characters.. this will help you in the long run, just know you can’t get the south east islands yet until after you do the geo archon quests first.. as you’ll need a ship to travel there your first time, you’ll definitely learn too not all the checkpoints are on surface some are underground. Also like she said collect all the shiny ✨ things, as many flowers you’ll need for ascending characters later.. also if possible mark a route for them for later harvests, and name the pins giving them a unique pin, this will help a lot later.. as they respawn every 48hours I’ve been told, but some things respawn every 24hours, as for bosses they respawn soon, you can actually leave the area by teleporting away and coming back and the boss will respawn for another round so you can spam these for loot. It’ll help a lot, also you can do these in Co Op so that helps if you know someone strong.. definitely save your fragile res until you absolutely sure you need to use them as it’ll speed the game up on waiting for your 200 to refill. But the game will allow you to stack over 200 and it’ll stay there not losing any of it. So it definitely helps when in a pinch for grinding.. it’ll help you get ahead in the game quick.. but I’d recommend saving it for later down the road when you need some serious leveling up.. also remember to enhance your artifacts.. I forgot and neglected them after doing it the first time just leveling up characters for the longest time I forgot about them.. but if done right you could be level below enemies and still beat them with the right level of artifacts, definitely play around with them them as they support other play styles, you can make one character a power house tank, which my Diluic is.. also my Lynette is super fast while her attack is super high like everyone else’s maybe a hundred or two hundred short on damage compared to everyone else’s her element bonus is extreme, when using swirl especially her dash attack swirl one I can knock 2000 health off enemies so this is why I recommend to watch what you add to who and upgrade them

A tip for people who are 55+ and crazy... (and like to kill): If you want to spend some time in genshin, but have like absolutely nothing to do, what you can do is go on maniac hunting sprees: Low on treasure hoarder insignias? Go and kill them with the help of the handbook, use the interactive map if you're crazier. Just pop in some music, movie, podcast in the background and put genshin sounds at null. I'm saying this as a person that has killed about 19k fatui enemies - it's fun seeing the 9999 of the highest rarity insignias - and they will come in handy eventually
One huge tip that I didn't know till ar 51. THERE IS A MATCH FUNCTION. USE IT. You cannot (probably) do the final level of domains yet after ar 45 and to get 5 star artifacts, use the match function. I didn't start farming till ar50 because of this. And that's why I have severely underbuilt characters.
I started in October and within the first month I had the whole map open except Inazuma 🤣 It made it handy later for quests but I probably screwed myself a lot.
You don't _need_ a maxed out Bennett lmao. There's plenty of supports in the game and as the game has gone on Bennett's beneficial options have become less prominent. He's absolutely not required for beating spiral abyss. Calling him the bare minimum is just wrong. Yes, he's a good support, but absolutely not required
@@annaairahala9462 my bad. The thing is, if you can max out your Bennett and use him, why don’t you? Of course he isn’t required in the abyss, but he’s still very universal, so in a sense if you don’t have a vendetta against him for some reason, and you lack a c6 copy of the more specific supports, building him IS the bare minimum you can do to increase your dps. Nothing wrong.
tip that would have been useful to me at a lower AR: _remember that character talents also need leveled!_ for the longest time I just... kept forgetting that was a thing. I probably ascended my Razor all the way before remembering "oh yeah. talents." I think his normal attack is still at level 6. now I'm kinda tempted to get all his talents to 9 just to say that I did lol
I just started Genshin on a whim yesterday and I've seen a couple of your vids and they're great. You really have a voice that can soothe a migraine - if you were the voice of Paimon perhaps I wouldn't have all dialogue muted. I really enjoyed your "30 types of Genshin players" video and never imagned there would be meta elitists in what feels like a very relaxing and laid back open world adventure with predatory casino and gacha elements. I first beat spiral abyss with trash artifacts. If you have good idea of building teams and working with rotations having your characters and weapons built, you can make do with just the main stats on artifacts. It wouldn't be just artifact luck holding you back there edit: I should add, I don't use meta characters as dps either. My first abyss clear was using Barbara and Kokomi as my primary damage dealers lmao, although that was just clear
I started a new account a month ago and I love it! I know much more about what im doing and building my characters 1 or 2 at a time. Having a much better time at the spiral abyss than my first time playing it.
As for pulling I recommend saving primos definitely save enough for 10pulls before pulling you’re more likely to get a character doing this.. also don’t level up everyone get it’ll be too long upgrade the ones you like and feel good using, everyones different but there’s strats for who are good for mains.. and definitely have a diverse of elements in your arsenal and always have a ameno character as their swirl can combo with many elements causing major damage to enemies.. also don’t pull for every event, if you don’t look worth it don’t bother, and if not sure do research on RUclips there plenty of RUclipsrs who live for pulling ever character and they literally know everything about each character and can showcase them.. personally I wait for events, I don’t pull for basic wishes with my primos, I use those for special wishes, but I’ll stack my basic wishes and just use them when I do, as it’ll help get things and just help add things to the arsenal, as their more common I don’t need to spend my primos on them, you literally get these things every time you ascend a character or complete certain things in the hand book so definitely I don’t spend my promos on basic wishes. As intertwined fates are a little more rare than the regular ones.. idk if anyone else does this but that’s me personally.. I even got my first legendary this way and that was siegewine, however though for the basic using normal fates or whatever they’re called I got Diluic this way.. be expected to get dupes too this does happen sometimes, but it’s not the end of the world you do get stuff for them, even stuff to upgrade the constellation on them I’d recommend being patient though, and if can try to her ahead but don’t stress yourself out over it.. also the crafting bench is your best friend definitely check it out, you may not have to go scour for stuff you may be able to make whatever you need..
i don’t play genshin and don’t have much of an interest in it but i like the advice that when you’re low level, don’t worry too much about builds or perfecting some kind of meta i do this a lot in games and it makes me burn out before i’ve even started (i did this with splatoon 3)
I also suggest, if you are going to be saving primos to get the beginners banner, please wait till you have ascended a few characters to level20+ as it give you the wishe things making you use less primos! (Coming from a beginner). I’ve also pulled 4 characters just this week from wishing as it’s my first week, these 4 characters really helped me. (YaoYao, Thoma, Noelle and chongyun)
i've been playing still december 2021, and still at ar 33. remember: take. breaks. you'll need it. i've ruined a few irl relationships which i cherished because i was too addicted to this game. don't be shy about your damage, my highest damage isn't even in the 2k's. also, genshin is a great way to bond with friends. one of my closet friendships was strengthened even more because of how much he helped me during co-op. take things at your own pace, and don't burn out yourself. don't feel insecure that you can't take on bosses like the streamers and the youtubers. i can't do it either. accept help. also, do NOT feel pressured into using characters that others don't use. i literally use the weirdest team comps, and they do solid damage and actually work, and i love their playstyle. for example, i use a hybrid rosaria and a hybrid yanfei with a support noelle and a sub-dps fischl. it's not common. but it's fun, and it works.
i think past me skipped a few steps since i fully learned about pity and chances around AR 30 , plus i started learning about team comps and artifacts at AR 40

Okay I know this vid is old but DO NOT PULL A LOT WHEN YOU’RE A BEGINNER!!! when I had a decent amount of primos I was pulling for all the wrong characters, and when you start Genshin, you spend irresponsibly, I did, and that’s what caused hell for me later.
You should definitely challenge the spiral abyss At AR 20 when can, just to pick up the free characters at least Xiangling is someone you want to have a soon as you can.

Leveling up every character and their weapon to level 20 doesn't hurt in the long run. Leveling up every character to level 50? THAT might hurt you for quite a while.
That's not stupid at all, in fact that's actually very smart. Every character should be levelled to 20 and ascended once. It's between 20-40 resin value for a free wish. In fact, once you get later on in the game it's even recommended to level all your characters up to 50 for the second free wish. Pretty much doing anything to your characters below level 50 will not hurt your progress.
Me, who literally levelled up my team as much as possible (including weapons, artifacts, and talents) before bothering with world ascension quests: oh. Yeah focusing on just Kaeya and Bennett would've made my life way easier.
And im ngl, i got SEVERELY BURNT OUT when i first started playing. And when i say severely, i mean it. I stopped playing for like 2 years. I just wasn’t able to get back into it until the last couple of days. I also made my “full team” like yesterday, and i did spiral abyss for the first time today lol

I'm just gonna throw this out there, since there will be people who won't know: An artifact substat cannot be the same as an artifact main stat on sands/goblets/hats.
My co-worker convinced me to start playing last year and i got to adventure rank 10 but didn't have a lot of time to play so hoping to get back into it hardcore this year. I have been logging in every day for my welkin though so racking up wishes for when a banner i like comes out, hopefully Ayaka.

It's a good idea to start spiral abyss early on. First 5 floors can be done quite early on and you get two free characters now by doing the earlier ones. You obviously don't need to do it right away, but it's not something you need to put off either.

oh my gosh number 9 is so true!! When I first started playing genshin, I would level up ALL of my characters. Even the ones I don’t like because I always thought to myself, “one day you’ll need them” and wasting my xp cards (I don’t pay attention on what they’re called) on my characters that will never be used and then when I need to level up one of my main ones, I have none left 😂
Ah yes. I need this as an AR60 player with 2 years of experience playing this game and has fully built 28 characters with their own weapons and with decent artifacts.

As a late game player from 1.6 I wanted to say the last point is the truest for me, if you rush everything you’re not going to fully enjoy the game when you’re done with it, I’m still ar 57 and have most regions with low percentage of explorations which I don’t regret because I’m still enjoying the game
when i started i just chose to wish on limited banner even tho i didnt care about the charecter or the playstyle then i watched and learned how the banners work and i have barely used albedo that i got from the dragon spine update, but i feel kinda happy that i got him now because i am going to have itto and i know albedo is a good support for him.
Downloaded this game last January and decided to start playing it again this February after only playing once a month on average. This video has some greater advice as I was very confused on what I was suppose to do in the game in early stages so I've just been exploring and unlocking random characters. Completing main story quests is what I will probably do for a while as I think I left of just after completing the first act

Another tip, TLDR: Start farming Hero witts, ascension materials, talent material, boss materials and talent books first to level up your characters. Artifacts? farm that later when you hit AR45. Use whatever artifacts you have. That based on my experience playing this game for 2 years now.

When I was really new to the game, (I've only been playing for a month and a half) I walked all the way to Liyue from Mondstat to talk to Katheryne, and then didn't even unlock a teleport waypoint there. I never wanted to (and I still don't) let people join my world, I'm socially awkward and I don't know how to entertain them. The one time I ever let someone join was an Irl friend, and they taught me so many things I didn't know.
For example, they taught me what waverider waypoints are, that you can teleport to domains & treat them as teleport waypoints, that domains & bosses have character ascension materials, etc. The only thing I ever taught them was that when using electro or pyro to fight fungus it changes their drop materials. I got Nahida at 40 pity, and that was something I only learned after fighting tons of them and finally checking the information on the enemy and reading about it.
1. The game kind of expects you to put some time in the beginning characters. Imo level 40 character and 40 weapon for when a domain may ask for a particular element to kind of socket them in.
2. Coop requests aren't always people who are looking to help. Sometimes they just need a material that they have run out of (Ore, local specialities, and even fish). Usually when coop is unlocked people just want these and you aren't paying attention to these yet. One day you'll might want to consider this too. Just be nice.
Gathering everything you see helps SO much, especially when you arent doing quests you definitely need to explore and get that ar up
Been a month since i started, now at AR 34, and going slow with lots of farming for leveling up materials and talents. Yeah cant wait to reach AR45 and then farm and max out the artifacts and finish off the ALL the Quests available including Archons quest line. Thanks for this vid; been following most of the tips, though its still a good reminder for me.
I just started last week, and so far I I'm ar 29 and fighting childe. I hadn't watched anyone play the game before but I played breath of the wild which is similar so I wasn't too bad. I did 38 pulls for childe the other day and I didn't get him :( I got 3 heizous, and at least he isn't bad. I hope I can pull again for childe before he leaves. Great video!

In my opinion, ruin guards and hypostatis and more ruin guards were the best part of the game, it truly pushed your skills to the absolute limit and you could have only defeated it by pure gaming skills.
Now that i am exactly AR 45 i try to lazily find artifacts(it still takes great amount of skills mind you since you are lv 80 and the enemy are lv 90) you just try to farm for artifacts which can easily one shot the enemy. But the main point is the concept of defeating bosses and your strategy completely changes since you are given a lot more features and powers.
My tip (if you haven't covered it) is whack EVERY tree along your way, he'll help you in the later game when you do it in the early game

I’m ar59 and I only recently started building all my characters 😭 all except layla are at least level 70 and I put a lot of effort into looking into viable builds for them (I have two long lists in my notes app of how many books i need to get them all up to 80, what artifacts they need and what weapon they’ll use) so I could try get better in abyss

Yeah that was like the first thing I did when I completed the first Archon, I went around finding the seven statues and if bumped into waypoint I got them.. it definitely helps later in the game when you want to teleport everywhere making the journey quicker.. also definitely if passing a domain at least open the door and back out as it’ll turn into a waypoint too, also this will open up the possibility of needing certain items you can just find them in the handbook or looking for source when clicking the item you need and if you have the domain you can just teleport there and bam do it a few times add up those items upgrade weapons, artifacts, or ascending characters.. this will help you in the long run, just know you can’t get the south east islands yet until after you do the geo archon quests first.. as you’ll need a ship to travel there your first time, you’ll definitely learn too not all the checkpoints are on surface some are underground. Also like she said collect all the shiny ✨ things, as many flowers you’ll need for ascending characters later.. also if possible mark a route for them for later harvests, and name the pins giving them a unique pin, this will help a lot later.. as they respawn every 48hours I’ve been told, but some things respawn every 24hours, as for bosses they respawn soon, you can actually leave the area by teleporting away and coming back and the boss will respawn for another round so you can spam these for loot. It’ll help a lot, also you can do these in Co Op so that helps if you know someone strong.. definitely save your fragile res until you absolutely sure you need to use them as it’ll speed the game up on waiting for your 200 to refill. But the game will allow you to stack over 200 and it’ll stay there not losing any of it. So it definitely helps when in a pinch for grinding.. it’ll help you get ahead in the game quick.. but I’d recommend saving it for later down the road when you need some serious leveling up.. also remember to enhance your artifacts.. I forgot and neglected them after doing it the first time just leveling up characters for the longest time I forgot about them.. but if done right you could be level below enemies and still beat them with the right level of artifacts, definitely play around with them them as they support other play styles, you can make one character a power house tank, which my Diluic is.. also my Lynette is super fast while her attack is super high like everyone else’s maybe a hundred or two hundred short on damage compared to everyone else’s her element bonus is extreme, when using swirl especially her dash attack swirl one I can knock 2000 health off enemies so this is why I recommend to watch what you add to who and upgrade them

A tip for people who are 55+ and crazy... (and like to kill):
If you want to spend some time in genshin, but have like absolutely nothing to do, what you can do is go on maniac hunting sprees:
Low on treasure hoarder insignias? Go and kill them with the help of the handbook, use the interactive map if you're crazier.
Just pop in some music, movie, podcast in the background and put genshin sounds at null.
I'm saying this as a person that has killed about 19k fatui enemies - it's fun seeing the 9999 of the highest rarity insignias - and they will come in handy eventually

One huge tip that I didn't know till ar 51. THERE IS A MATCH FUNCTION. USE IT. You cannot (probably) do the final level of domains yet after ar 45 and to get 5 star artifacts, use the match function. I didn't start farming till ar50 because of this. And that's why I have severely underbuilt characters.
I started in October and within the first month I had the whole map open except Inazuma 🤣 It made it handy later for quests but I probably screwed myself a lot.
You don't _need_ a maxed out Bennett lmao.
There's plenty of supports in the game and as the game has gone on Bennett's beneficial options have become less prominent. He's absolutely not required for beating spiral abyss. Calling him the bare minimum is just wrong. Yes, he's a good support, but absolutely not required

The thing is, if you can max out your Bennett and use him, why don’t you? Of course he isn’t required in the abyss, but he’s still very universal, so in a sense if you don’t have a vendetta against him for some reason, and you lack a c6 copy of the more specific supports, building him IS the bare minimum you can do to increase your dps. Nothing wrong.
tip that would have been useful to me at a lower AR: _remember that character talents also need leveled!_ for the longest time I just... kept forgetting that was a thing. I probably ascended my Razor all the way before remembering "oh yeah. talents." I think his normal attack is still at level 6. now I'm kinda tempted to get all his talents to 9 just to say that I did lol

@@cringeproof100 nope, more of a skill issue haha. Most of my weapons are level 90.
I first beat spiral abyss with trash artifacts. If you have good idea of building teams and working with rotations having your characters and weapons built, you can make do with just the main stats on artifacts. It wouldn't be just artifact luck holding you back there
edit: I should add, I don't use meta characters as dps either. My first abyss clear was using Barbara and Kokomi as my primary damage dealers lmao, although that was just clear
I started a new account a month ago and I love it! I know much more about what im doing and building my characters 1 or 2 at a time. Having a much better time at the spiral abyss than my first time playing it.

As for pulling I recommend saving primos definitely save enough for 10pulls before pulling you’re more likely to get a character doing this.. also don’t level up everyone get it’ll be too long upgrade the ones you like and feel good using, everyones different but there’s strats for who are good for mains.. and definitely have a diverse of elements in your arsenal and always have a ameno character as their swirl can combo with many elements causing major damage to enemies.. also don’t pull for every event, if you don’t look worth it don’t bother, and if not sure do research on RUclips there plenty of RUclipsrs who live for pulling ever character and they literally know everything about each character and can showcase them.. personally I wait for events, I don’t pull for basic wishes with my primos, I use those for special wishes, but I’ll stack my basic wishes and just use them when I do, as it’ll help get things and just help add things to the arsenal, as their more common I don’t need to spend my primos on them, you literally get these things every time you ascend a character or complete certain things in the hand book so definitely I don’t spend my promos on basic wishes. As intertwined fates are a little more rare than the regular ones.. idk if anyone else does this but that’s me personally.. I even got my first legendary this way and that was siegewine, however though for the basic using normal fates or whatever they’re called I got Diluic this way.. be expected to get dupes too this does happen sometimes, but it’s not the end of the world you do get stuff for them, even stuff to upgrade the constellation on them I’d recommend being patient though, and if can try to her ahead but don’t stress yourself out over it.. also the crafting bench is your best friend definitely check it out, you may not have to go scour for stuff you may be able to make whatever you need..

i don’t play genshin and don’t have much of an interest in it but i like the advice that when you’re low level, don’t worry too much about builds or perfecting some kind of meta
i do this a lot in games and it makes me burn out before i’ve even started (i did this with splatoon 3)
I also suggest, if you are going to be saving primos to get the beginners banner, please wait till you have ascended a few characters to level20+ as it give you the wishe things making you use less primos! (Coming from a beginner). I’ve also pulled 4 characters just this week from wishing as it’s my first week, these 4 characters really helped me. (YaoYao, Thoma, Noelle and chongyun)

i've been playing still december 2021, and still at ar 33.
remember: take. breaks. you'll need it. i've ruined a few irl relationships which i cherished because i was too addicted to this game. don't be shy about your damage, my highest damage isn't even in the 2k's. also, genshin is a great way to bond with friends. one of my closet friendships was strengthened even more because of how much he helped me during co-op. take things at your own pace, and don't burn out yourself. don't feel insecure that you can't take on bosses like the streamers and the youtubers. i can't do it either. accept help.
also, do NOT feel pressured into using characters that others don't use. i literally use the weirdest team comps, and they do solid damage and actually work, and i love their playstyle. for example, i use a hybrid rosaria and a hybrid yanfei with a support noelle and a sub-dps fischl. it's not common. but it's fun, and it works.
i think past me skipped a few steps since i fully learned about pity and chances around AR 30 , plus i started learning about team comps and artifacts at AR 40

the second most important tip imo is to concentrate on one or two characters at the beginning. it really helps, because believe me, one fully built character is better than two half built ones :D
as askyrim player, the best thing about this game is you can climb wall and use glides.
Okay I know this vid is old but DO NOT PULL A LOT WHEN YOU’RE A BEGINNER!!! when I had a decent amount of primos I was pulling for all the wrong characters, and when you start Genshin, you spend irresponsibly, I did, and that’s what caused hell for me later.
Noel is my main kind of damage dealer because she can guard, has my favorite spin attack, and I gave her a sort of god sword, and she can crystallize
You should definitely challenge the spiral abyss At AR 20 when can, just to pick up the free characters at least Xiangling is someone you want to have a soon as you can.

I was stupid at AR19 and decided to level up EVERY single character I had to lvl 20 and levelled up their weapons to lvl 20. 💀

Leveling up every character and their weapon to level 20 doesn't hurt in the long run. Leveling up every character to level 50? THAT might hurt you for quite a while.
That's not stupid at all, in fact that's actually very smart. Every character should be levelled to 20 and ascended once. It's between 20-40 resin value for a free wish.
In fact, once you get later on in the game it's even recommended to level all your characters up to 50 for the second free wish. Pretty much doing anything to your characters below level 50 will not hurt your progress.
That’s good, but if you don’t have that much time, try to focus on your main 4 characters that you use and then on the rest

I'm just gonna throw this out there, since there will be people who won't know: An artifact substat cannot be the same as an artifact main stat on sands/goblets/hats.
My co-worker convinced me to start playing last year and i got to adventure rank 10 but didn't have a lot of time to play so hoping to get back into it hardcore this year. I have been logging in every day for my welkin though so racking up wishes for when a banner i like comes out, hopefully Ayaka.
