Ahh, found you. My wife and I are planning a trip to Peru next year November thru January. We are very interested coastal traveling as I can't do high altitude. Your video of Trujillo was the best I have seen.

I am wondering if you don't mind saying what you did for accommodations?

The reason I ask is we are torn between Airbnb or hotel. Advantages both ways.

We stayed at Recreo Hotel it was very cheap but good enough for a few nights. It all depends on your budget and style of travel. I would say stay somewhere within a couple of blocks of Plaza de Armas so you are walking distance to everything.

Thanks, our mode of travel is slow only moving when we run out of things to do. We're not sure of our budget yet I'm still compiling data but thinking between $1500 to $3000 might work.

I'm from the US but have a vacation home in Huanchaco. I'm surprised you didnt get raging diarrhea from those ice slushy drinks on the beach. Most sellers use tap water to make the ice which is notorious for getting tourists sick. To any tourists planning a trip to Peru, do not eat/drink anything that has tap water. That goes for lettuce in the salads. Trust me, I say this from experience
