I am going to Madeira end of January and really want to hike pico do areeiro to pico ruivo, but I keep hearing it’s closed because of the wild fires in the summer, is this no longer the case?

Just did that yesterday on Thanksgiving day in about 8" of snow. Fun to see the trail that looks so different in the winter. Honestly, it looked easier for us in the winter because you're stepping on the snow. Need a really good pair of trail crampons tho and gaiters. Have fun. Oh, leave really early, bring lights with new batteries.

Hi, nice video! Gotta say, Güerrin is good, but not the best. I'm partial to "Las Cuartetas". Also the "pepperoni" isn't actually pepperoni it uses longaniza and it's not the best Güerrin pizza IMO. Provolone with ham is where it's at.
