    Too many doors for my taste, but otherwise gorgeous! I love granite countertops, marble in the shower? so cool. I see the black cabinetry really balanced out all that white space. Cant wait to see the final results. You did excellent work by the way.

      +per sebra Yep, Cultured Marble in the shower! I'm not often in the area where it is currently parked but hopefully they will let me stop by sometime this summer. Thanks!

      1lifejourney I confess I had to look up the term "Cultured Marble", (as opposed to uncouth, hillbilly marble)...lol. Very interesting. I will have to see it up close. sounds like concrete. I wonder if it can be used for kitchen countertops.

    That's one heavy duty trailer. Looks like you need though. Nice job, thank you.

    Too bad the owners wanted to finish the interior themselves. Judging from the looks of the work done on the house so far, I'm sure your finish work on the interior would've made this tiny house a giant showstopper!

    this looks like some real first class craftsmanship ,,very nicely done
    I wish i had known about youtube when i built my tiny house nearly 14 years ago now
    it would have helped a lot with Ideas for my builld , and i could have taped it for people to see
    it started out as a trailer project actually ,I was building a drop deck 5th wheel car trailer
    it turned into a 4 axle huge trailer with 4 8k axles , in the end it was 44 feet long and weighed 4+ tons ,, later purchased a 30ft car trailer i wanted
    well it took me nearly 2 years of construction in my spare time to build it ,,in the end it's an 8ft wide , 44ft long RV/tiny home which has 5 rv style slides ,it weighs 30,000 pounds ,,,it was so big in fact i needed a semi tractor to move it ,,not a true tiny house though because it's over 200 square feet ,,actually closer to 400 when the slides are open
    for a few years i used an old shag truck to move it around , but in 2006 i decided i wantd an RV toter and decided to build it myself ,,2 years went by and i finally found the unusual truck that wold eventually become my RV hauler which I named ( Monstro )
    it's a very ugly vehicle ,, the truck started life as a 1974 chevy C6500 28ft grain truck
    completely restored now it features a 16ft RV body behind the cab , and a 12ft flat bed on the back with my 5th wheel in the middle ,,it is a totally self contained RV alone , and a tow vehicle ,,capable of carrying 500 gallons of water , 300 of sewage , and supplying fuel and power for both it's self and the trailer ,,I tend to live off the grid most of the time , and i can supply all of my own power , even without the generator onboard the truck and the backup on the trailer , i have a 12KW solar array on top of the trailer ,and nearly 500KWH of storage capacity
    I plan to retire when i reach 45 , 3 years from now ,and will travel with my retired mother seeing the country and maybe even some of canada

    Beautiful design. You did a great job. I love the bedroom on the ground floor. Having the gooseneck allows for that. What is the total square footage as well as length and width?

    so after you built it to order... the customer didn't buy it??? Wow. pretty ballsey for sure!!!

    • @blackbibletv
      @blackbibletv 8 лет назад

      +Doe Campbell The customers paid for him to do the work on 85% of the house and finished it themselves. So what he's saying is they didn't custom build the whole thing and sell it to someone, they did pay for it though.

    Beautifully constructed Patrick! Do you build tiny houses for a living? I've been trying to find a tiny house builder, and this is by far my favorite tiny house.... Do you have a website, email that you would be willing to talk about future builds? Or was this just kind of a one time thing? Thanks! Amazing work!

    Would really like to see this tiny house better, any chance you could do a walk-through video tour? I can't quite get the lay-out.

    • @1lifejourney

      +K Gifford I wish I could but the owners have already taken the tiny house to its final parking spot. Maybe If I did a sketch of the layout? First time filming in a tiny house. It's quite a learning experience!

    Get a hold of the owners and get pictures or a video of the interior? I'd also like blue prints if possible.

    • @1lifejourney
      @1lifejourney  8 лет назад

      +Travis Plume Will try to do that. The owner's actually sketched up the layout themselves. One is an architect. Sounds like they are still working on it and hope to have it finished by this summer. Thanks!

    radient floors were not designed to go under flooring that is not sealed...and then they are next to the shower and in front of the kitchen sing... water and click flooring are not a good combo..and then you added electricity under them?

    How much did it sell for?

    • @1lifejourney
      @1lifejourney  8 лет назад +1

      +Keef DeStefano We actually didn't end up selling the tiny house. The owners hired us to do about 85% if the build work. Total cost for this build was around $60-65k due to the higher end materials used. The exterior siding and trailer were a big chunk of that cost.
