Do you know freshmilkymilk 1 and 2?
@@teaser6089 I have heard of 1 as I googled my name and I met 2 today so yes
Builds like these are one of the reasons why I'm fairly keen for KSP2, imagine doing this same launch but with a friend to land while you head off into orbit?
Luckily when ksp 2 comes, out you can do that!
Crimson Productions there be multiplayer
use LMP
Kermadecc or have one team try to launch an icbm while the other team tries to stop it
@@theprincipalityofbelka4646 ooooooh that'd be amazing! Try and destroy each others colonies, orbital bombardments ftw 😁

Reminds me of the video Matt posted about his daily life and it indeed seemed pretty miserable to be honest.
I much prefer the KSP videos.

For the KSP2 wishlist, it’d be great if offsetting parts into other parts actually clipped the parts, so that you wouldn’t have bits of wing or nosecone or whatever in the middle of your cargo bay.
Or they could just add the functionality of procedural parts mod into KSP2 stock to reduce the amount of clipping that even has to be done. Probably result in fewer kraken strikes on bigger craft.
Fen Riders If it were that or my idea, I’ll take that. I think there’s room for both, though. If you’re trying to “blend” some parts in some complex joint, it could be hard (or impossible) to get the geometry to match up just with the procedural parts controls. Assuming they just copy the existing plugin and give the root side the same options as the non-root side, anyway.

"It's sold at the shop at the end of my road"- truly, a mark of a fine liquor.
Awesome video! Just a thought, maybe someone here might be able to anwer it- is it possible to fly two halves of a spacecraft after a separation with a multiplayer mod?
You get kicked when you leave the host's physics range.
I was literally sitting on my RUclips inbox reloading and hoping for this and just when I was about to give up bam! Matt lowne
I love how Matt does a whiskey "review" to avoid COPPA...
If you want to have regular tanks able to use liquid fuel only, Interstellar Fuel Switch allows you to change a tank's contents. I use it all the time to use the 2.5 m tanks with nuclear engines.
I really like that Spaceplane design Matt, very cool. Very Gerry Anderson!

-Matt Lowne, when was this made... 6 MONTHS AGO?! It feels so long!
Best commentary by far of any video you’ve done and the lack of written prep work for the voice over made it all the more enjoyable, especially liked the dark moment when you forgot your victims names as you sent them back to the ground without any hope!
Also nice launch vehicle. 🛰🛩
Also JD is jank, get a bottle of Glenfiddich 18 and treat yourself.

At least there is some cool RUclipsr who seems so incredibly nice, thank you.
On the day this video was produced, Matt Lowne temporarily turned into a pirate! That was a real growl at the beginning there; a fun surprise! XD
Gimbal Wizard sounds weirdly fun.
I love the IVA view of the EVA kerbal. :D ... HAHAHAHAHA that's Jebediah? Insert jokes about the pilot jumping out of the aircraft here! XD

"It is current year, we have the technology!"
Funny to hear matt lowne suggesting the folders in the save files one year ago before version 1.12
The view of the half night half day on the satellite was pretty cool.

After seeing this built one of my own. I made the Stratolauncher disposable. Thanks for the inspiration!

This channel is slowly becoming the air-launch channel and I love it
20:11 > Matt .... Reviews .... wHISKey.
Finally a potentially useful stratolaunch for KSP. Subsonic stratolaunchers are useless in the stock size solar system.
You can just add a staging group and add the parachute into it while in flight.
Supersonic speeds are actually more efficient in KSP, particularly at high altitude.
This mission is badass, and Gimbal Wizard is a hilarious name.
I'd like to challenge you with an aircraft I spent weeks designing and testing;
A single wing nacelle craft. Two nacelles connected by a bridge of aerodynamic surfaces, the cockpit at the front of one of those nacelles (but not both!), and no lifting surfaces outside the two nacelles.
someone give this man a job at nasa for all of the things he has done on this channel
Challenge: Try to make the smallest possible vehicle(s) to go to 2 different planets
Love your videos Matt! Keep doing what you do best!
If you get it on a high enough trajectory, you can circularize the spaceplane and land then launcher. You can switch to a vessel in the atmosphere as long as it is at an altitude above 24km.
The best thing about these videos is your commentary.
I have said this, but I don't imagine it was me you saw.
Happy to see this video.
Could have landed the aircraft, then reloaded, having the orbital bit that 'survives'
That is the kind of craft I'm working on building even longer than this video is out. With middling success.
But I tend to drop the launcher like a rocket stage, with seperatons to push it away.
When he was talking about being sentimental to the kerbals I had a flashback to when I crashed Valentina on the moon before I went to bed and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was so sad lol.
I enjoy using the mod that adds some nuclear jet engines, basically they're independently powered just like the atomic rockets but use intake air in atmosphere alone and just fuel in vacume, so if you build something in a way to handle high speed you can get suborbital without using any fuel
so a nuclear rapier
You need to try the mod Flight Manager for Reusable Stages (FMRS)! It's a game changer for stratolaunch systems and multi-stage recovery! It creates a quicksave at every stage separation, and once you get your final stage into stable orbit, it lets you jump back in time to your earlier stage separations, allowing you to control and recover them. Once you're done with recovery, you can jump back to your main stage and continue the mission. Its amazing magic that adds immersion and saves a lot of wasted stages!
Poor Matt I just see him with his kerbal plushy in one hand a large jug of whiskey in the other hand.
New challenge:
Build a craft that flies so well and efficiently that it naturally lands on water
Then you make us a stratolauncher
to solve the problem of destroying the stratolauncher, what if you attached parachutes as part of an action group that also decoupled it so that when you decoupled the launcher, it would also arm the parachutes. Although it would mean that the launcher wouldn't land near the space center.
I love how he just makes a super stratolaunch system but he just deploys a 150 kg or something payload lmao
I'm crying tears on every ascend path... Like you have no idea of how it works...
this is probably the coolest thing ive seen you build i cant wait to try something similar haha
for a docking port aligner just get it as close as possible then use the offset tool and itll snap to the middle
edit and if that doesnt work for some reason just set the acquire force to 200 and then cheat gravity to .01% before launching
Here’s an idea:
A VTOL SSTO that has a centrifuge ring like from your Mun ring station you did a few months ago. And it can go to any celestial body in the kerbin system. And VTOL on any celestial body. (I feel like I’m describing the Bebop) maybe it has a science processing module. Possibly mining capable.
only mat would think “let’s drop a plane from a plane and launch a satellite from that plane” lol
When KSP 2 comes out flying two different ships won't be as much as a problem
"once you leave physis rang you cant switch to the other aircraft" me: "yeah you see that's why physics range extender exists".
I don’t know how you come up with these ideas let alone execute them! It’s super cool though!
I LOVE the names of your quicksaves.

Pretty neat clean separation!
Folders bay in for Craft is something we are so missing.
A feature i want in ksp is that you could dig and make a base underground if you have a drill

I literally can't launch a moon lander into orbit and Matt is doing this stuff like: EZ
I am big sad now.
Two weeks since the last planet coaster video. WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN US?!?!?!
*Gimbal Wizard is BACK!*
you can also on the launch craft already in the separation stage already make it deploy parachutes
Hi Matt, excellent video as usual. I was wondering... how do you perfectly guess the re-entry air resistance so your SSTO always finish up their trip really close to the airfield? The maneuver preview never seems to really guess the resistance well. After years of playing KSP, this thing still puzzle me. Again, you did it perfectly in that video without any fuel left lolll!
that decent profile was beautiful
They're alive in that version of the multiverse.
wow those are all really nice quality of life upgrades. i would watch a ksp 2 wishlist vid
I believe Elon once said that stratolaunching a vehicle is more efficient than ground launching by about five percent, and he said adding five percent back to the first stage would be just as effective. In my opinion, it is an interesting solution but I think it’s just more work than sending it up from the ground.
Correct me if I’m wrong, thanks!
Nice work! Next you should try to get a MASSIVE payload to orbit using a stratolaunch system. I've cheated this by deploying a massive SSTO off of my single launch station rocket mid air but you probably have a more unique way to do it
i cannot wait for ksp2 not only will it be awesome to actually play but the videos you put out are ganna be pretty dam cool :D
Breaking news, Matt lowne has an internship at NASA, designing their new mars rocket! It shall be known as the ML MSP (Matt Lowne Mars Shot Project)
You should definitely make the KSP 2 wishlist video! Those were some pretty good recommendations you gave :)
PS: Matt's Malts is a good name for your whiskey reviews ;)
WHAT THE HECK YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE EXTENDED BURN INDICATOR? I'M JUST PACING AROUND MY HOUSE WITH MY FISTS CLENCHED
Maybe remake some of your older creations to see how far you and the game have come
Matt you live in the uk most of us are from America and were probably in school at the time. Darn. Love your videos, love the discord
Might I suggest you try Wild Turkey's American Honey.. Very smooth for a comparatively low price, and not too sweet (nothing like Southern Comfort).
Always been a fan of the Kentucky Bourbons and Tennessee Whiskeys, while generally avoiding the Irish, and am indifferent to Scotch.
Don't know if it's going to be the same blend that you get as I'm in Australia.. it probably will since we brew many international brand beers locally (so they taste slightly different) but I'm pretty sure spirits are imported direct
I expect great things from you in KSP 2 Matt. From you and all other Kerbalnauts like ShadowZone, Scott Manley and Stratzenblitz.
Can you make a set of planes that break apart and turn into a base then fly them to minmus or something to make all the guests of the hotel jealous?
Keep up with your amazing work! I love your vids 👍
There's an extended burn indicator AND the option to rewire action groups on the fly? That's two more mods in the bin, cool
This reminds me of the proposal to use the X-15 as a satellite launcher
Remember the hyper drive ring in starwars? This is how it looks now ,feel old yet?
If you want some saddness whiskey, go for Old Crow, it is yummy and cheap, and it makes the sadness go away.
