Dying Light 2 I feel is exactly what people wanted, just more of the first game. People love Dying Light for what it was, a fun, unique zombie game with enjoyable movement mechanics.
@@bread9923 The textures literally look like an xbox 360 game. They are grainy as fuck and flat. Seriously, go into the game again and look at literally any surface. Then look at Dying Light 1 textures. Dying Light 1 looks way better. The best part of DL2 graphics is the lighting. That's it.
I think it wouldn't make much sense to make Dying Light 2's gameplay to be that different from the first. The first was popular and loved mainly for its gameplay so changing that makes no sense. They instead added a lot more moves in parkour, the choice based story, a deeper and more complex combat system, a bigger world and more zombies. For 6 years, this was pretty damn good I would say
Give him a vr game combined with the scariest horror game ever. Charlie is resistant sure but no one can resist something truly creepy. It is literally a thing with our brains that makes us fight or flight. Like Charlie and his cockroaches

I was really scared this was going to be another cyberpunk, but its sooo good, they kept the familiar feel of the first one, but expanded it and made it more open, the game just feels so revived, im glad I pre ordered
While I'm ecstatic that this game is great, why are people still preordering, especially for a game you were scared about? Seems like everyone should have learned their lesson by now
I think the focus on parkour and actually forcing more night missions which make the game more tense was a big change. First dying light you weren’t forced to feel unsafe and going out at night was like not required much and the benefit was doubling your points at night. I think that shift alone is huge and makes the game feel like zombies are more of a threat in some ways.
Especially with the lack of guns. The first game had a pretty solid fear element even at day time but once you get tons of guns in the parking garage mission and a grappling hook you feel basically invincible. I’m glad they got rid of guns for this game
@@jonathanwiggins7017 absolutely the best change they made in my opinion. makes it way more challenging and actually requires some brainpower, and also fits in better with the lore
Genuinely enjoying the game so far, I'm glad it's only a little different from the first game. Night time actually has more of a risk reward aspect besides "oh you get more xp" I like that some areas are more approachable at night vs. day, and th parkour combat is a nice fun addition.
Yeah it's very I Am Legend in that regard. Looting stores during the day is no longer a good idea. I never used to play night time in DL1 unless I was forced to.
You can kinda cheese the experience tho. And not intentionally either. Just by trying stuff. They say you shouldn't go to forsaken stores during the day, but I tried it, and all you need is to stay at the entrance, keep poking in and out of the entrance to lure the zombies, then toss molotovs and you shred through every zombie in the building. Boom. Easy loot during the day.

It’s crazy because Gamespot’s review in progress said they didn’t have many bugs or issues. And I’m wondering how much of this is going to be fixed by the day one patch.
A 1000+ amount of bugs were fixed with the patch. pre patch had a lot of audio issues but now after the day 1 patch I’ve barely noticed much of any bugs
There's still plenty of bugs, some game breaking, others minor but constant. For example the survivor sense button can just not work for up to minutes at a time randomly. Plus a lot of quest progression getting locked.
@@calumbarry1829 Yeah here's hoping those get fixed aswell. I wish they just delayed the game a few more months so they could've prevented this whole fiasco of optimization and bugs.

@@NetherlandsFirst just my opinion! also, game reviewers are not an accurate representation of the general playerbase. a game reviewer could say that one mechanic is really really bad, or that the storyline sucks, when an entire playerbase could agree on the opposite. this isnt the case for this game, but in my own opinion im really enjoying the storyline!

The human npc combat is definitely an upgrade but due to the dumbed down ragdoll and other effects the zombie killing doesn’t feel too good let’s hope they will fix it soon
It's a shame everyone feels the need to talk about how happy they are that this actually turned out well, because most recent AAA titles and sequels have been lackluster. A sequel matching up to the first game should be considered the standard
Well there's great games coming all the time it's just trendy to shit on things now and I guess people got tired of it. I'm actually surprised there aren't more people complaining about bugs and such in this one cause it's definitely not as polished as the first game in it's current state.
It’s a shame no one is discussing how they ruined the kicking mechanics in this game. Kicking takes way too much stamina (yes it takes stamina now) and asks you to press 2 buttons to preform? Where in Dying Light 1 you can literally spend hours kicking zombies into spikes casually and have more fun than you could imagine.
Pretty sure they did that so you can't just spam it since they're obviously trying to make this game harder than the original with removing guns and stuff like that

@@saturn88888l so, has someone who is playing the game, you need to get some upgrades and decent weapons, also remove the health bars if you haven't, it's a lot more fun.
The game looks good, but my complaint is that the 2nd dying light lacks the atmosphere the 1st game gave , the zombies also seem a bit downgraded based on their animations and ragdoll, especially when kicking them from rooftops, they seem to float a bit before the ragdoll sets , as well as kicking them onto spikes, instead of sticking to the spikes they just flop down instead. Other than that the game is still ok
Yeah I was talking to Jonah not long ago about his role in dying light 2. He's very humble and appreciative that he's come this far and I for one could not be happier for him

The only thing I hate about this game is how fucking grindy it is to upgrade ANYTHING. Go to dark hollows near "Lurch" windmill during the day, kill/loot all infected to get trophies, leave, sleep at windmill 2x, rinse and repeat. It still takes forever because you need money to upgrade in addition to trophies, which you get from collecting "valuables" and crystals, which for some reason don't respawn for me. or you could go in GRE places during the day and grind killing Volatiles if you max out your toughness consumable, and craft those. Encounters get old quickly, and are honestly not worth the effort other than killing special infected quickly for easy trophies, but why do that when you can just farm the windmill method? You kill 3 enemies to save a guy? You get rewarded with a consumable. Have fun being max level and it costing almost 40,000 for an Artifact weapon from shops. Though I will say, out of all the complaining, it is nice to have that super worth it Korek Charm to keep all your preferred weapons forever once you complete the Broadcast mission. Oh, and the weapons and outfits you don't want? They don't sell for didly shit. 1 gold? maybe 16? Fuck off. Who thought that was a good idea?
Same. I had to go in an underground with very fast zombies and I kid you not I had to fist fight the whole entire horde. It was worth it but still. Also I didn’t have any heals and I had that infected timer. It was funny just bodying all of them though
It does have very nice graphics, everything else though isn’t very good, I’ve played both games, and you can hardly find any weapons at all in this, the physics are also really bad, and the weapon combat isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
I don't know if anyone else noticed at 0:46, that record Who Do You Voodoo is actually the title song from the game Dead Island. They're paying homage to the OG 😎 Love it!

how did charlie not know the reason you attacked them is because you literally just got bit 5 minutes previously lmfao i feel bad for content creators when it comes to playing these games on stream because they seemingly miss the entire plotline
Yeah I wouldn’t take anything streamers say too critically, Guardians of the galaxy was one of the best games this year and I know many streamers didn’t like it because they couldn’t just talk throughout the whole game because the characters did it for them.
It isn’t the bugs that make it bad, it’s the actual combat, the complete lack of loot in the open world, the inability for your enemies to actually drop what they’re fighting you with, the lack of being able to interact with the zombies body after they die unless you loot them, even then 95% of the time you get nothing, when you do get something it’s almost nothing. You can’t really make much of any money either, unless you loot absolutely everything in sight to get at max 1 or 2 coins from a run down vending machine or something, the game also no longer has very much gore, and when you hit them the stagger effect is just the same as hitting them anywhere else. I wouldn’t recommend buying it, I’m a professional videogame tester that searches for bugs when I play games at work, we also make sure games don’t have dumb features or we take note of bad mechanics, this game doesn’t have good combat.
@@alwaysfutureneverpastmakep7307 1. How the hell a zombie has loot? There's should logic here somewhere, cuz how a elite zombie? Has bullets, money, etc. 2. I think the reason why gore was less Gorey is because maybe your weapon isn't sharp or you have blunt weapon.

Dying Light 2 I feel is exactly what people wanted, just more of the first game. People love Dying Light for what it was, a fun, unique zombie game with enjoyable movement mechanics.
To me, the game feels very different in a very good way. i dont really understand the criticism people are giving it.
Game devs when a company makes a sequel that doesn't suck dick (they have to try now)
Graphics are ugly as fuck though you have to admit.
@@seaks368 hell the fuck no. the graphics great. the textures are really what shine in this game.
I have been obsessed since booting it up.. huge fan of the first game. Can’t wait to see this one through to the end!

It's great so far

I was really scared this was going to be another cyberpunk, but its sooo good, they kept the familiar feel of the first one, but expanded it and made it more open, the game just feels so revived, im glad I pre ordered

a little dissapointing tbh, hoped for the combat and npc AI to be more improved but you're still gonna like the game if you liked the first one
@Milan have we been playing the same game dude?
i honestly hope you're being sarcastic

If you AFK in the first building then Spike starts playing the OG theme on the piano.
0:50 who do you voodoo is reference to dead island, the game tech land worked on before dying light (which heavily inspired the combat)
Cool to see tech land Really cares about their stuff
It’s crazy because Gamespot’s review in progress said they didn’t have many bugs or issues. And I’m wondering how much of this is going to be fixed by the day one patch.
@Nista Gure Penguinz nudes resurfaces online ruclips.net/video/IZ4bm-ttVvE/видео.html

@@skyettv How is it phenomenal in all aspects when all reviewers seem to agree that the storyline is mediocre at best?
@@NetherlandsFirst just my opinion! also, game reviewers are not an accurate representation of the general playerbase. a game reviewer could say that one mechanic is really really bad, or that the storyline sucks, when an entire playerbase could agree on the opposite. this isnt the case for this game, but in my own opinion im really enjoying the storyline!

This game doesn't look buggy at all. Gamers are such crybabies.
Are they trying to make this game bad?
