Got mine last night 2021 gmc elevation all black out and it’s came with a center console and regular tailgate which is fine for me but it’s a great truck
I appreciate you pointing out the difference in equipment, although you are speaking about the equipment that the customers are paying for and is supposed to come with each trim level. This is a moot point because the trucks are going to come how the OEM chooses them to be equipped, in some cases with a small discount with a promise to retrofit and in some cars with a discount that will allow the OEM to sill make their margin but omitting the equipment altogether.
Between all the “differences” between the AT4 and Elevation, I ended up with an Elevation... Only thing I wish came with the Elevation is the wireless charging, but that really isn’t that big of a deal... But, that’s just my opinion...

Wasn’t a deal breaker for me though... Most of the options that came with the AT4 and Denali, I didn’t care for, all I truly wanted was 4X4 and backup camera when backing up to hook my motorcycle trailer, as with my 2016, didn’t have it, so I’d always run into it... Back up camera came standard with my 2020, I was sold...
FYI, you can get bucket seats with the full center console on the Elevation as well. You can also get leather. And ours definitely came with Apple Car Play.
I didn’t understand what he said about AT4 has “wireless” apple car play but the Elevation has “normal” apple car play...I thought they were both wireless...

I just traded my 2019 Sierra extended to a 2021 Elevation X31 and upgraded the seats to leather. It also came with the slim dual exhaust, and black step rails. I miss the longer bed but this truck is great so far.
Does ur elevation have the front center console that flips up into a seat? Do u have the front bench seat? Bench seat pickups sell for a whole lot cheaper than bucket seat pick ups.

Both great trucks and now for 21 you can build your Elevation to be as equipped as a AT4 minus the lift and leather. GMC has done great with these awesome trucks.
I just bought a ‘21 elevation with the x31 off road package and just added the leather interior for an extra $1000. I currently have a 2016 elevation with cloth..leather was a selling point for me.
Coming from a 2012 GMC SLE, In July I just purchased my new 2021 GMC Elevation 3L Duramax off road X31 with the multi pro tailgate dual exhaust. I have 9,000 kms on it and no issues. Unbelievable difference between the 2 trucks. I know the AT4 has more options than my fully loaded Elevation. Just couldn't see spending $6000.00 more on the AT4 even though I will miss the more electronic options. (More to go wrong with the Chip Shortages). Hey Jeff, Keep up the great work on this channel.
I have that exact same 2021 red elevation truck that did come with the X31 off road package with that sweet at4 tailgate plus the GMC logos on the front and back are black
I know this video is older now, but the two models pretty much still exist, however looking at this video looking for and purchasing the Elevation X31, Off road package, with a 3.0L I-6 Duramax, and Tow Package, and I wanted an AT4 without the center console, because of wanting the 6 person seating if needed, I feel that the Elevation X31 fit my needs, also wanna mention, I still have 4X4 low, skid plates, the 2 inch lift and the off road A/T tires that are on the AT4 actually. So, I wanted to mention that the comparisons of this video may not be totally accurate?
Will be a great truck and i will buy one , if they put better front seats in them. Like seating on kitchen chair, hard and very thin cushion. For $ 75 K they really should use better front seat....
I've owned a 2019 RST and now 2020 LT 2500 and my biggest complaint is lack of foam in the seats....prior Gen was fine so idk why they would strip foam out of the seats.....
I test drove the At4 with diesel was that nice basically a Denali interior and then drove the elevation v8 for the price diff I bought the elevation loaded as can be I love these new gmc trucks I wanted Denali white pearl but 12.000 more killed that deal
Great point! I wasn’t comparing that, but still a great thing to mention. You actually can’t get ANY of the GMC trucks with leather in a double cab this year! (SLT, Denali or AT4)
Have you ever covered the CarbonPro series? Specifically, lack of bed covers and GMC dealerships act dumb about promising covers that don’t fit them! I contacted GMC customer service and they said they couldn’t help at all! I recently purchased a 2020 AT4 carbon pro and was promised a rolling cover by the dealership but the next day after I signed the paperwork i was told they misspoke and there was nothing

He told me that they fit it no problem but the parts department wasn’t open on the day I purchased the truck. That’s when i found out the salesman didn’t know what he was talking about.
Yeah that same issue has me on the fence about going with the carbon pro or not. So many things that would work with a standard bed don't with the carbon pro
I believe you missed the lighting differences. The Elevation uses halogen front turn signals & halogen rear turn/tail lights while the AT4 is full LED.
@@kirkdunn1379 That's incorrect. Sierra, SLE & Elevation all have halogen front turn signals & halogen rear turn/tail lights. With that said, all Sierra, SLE & Elevation have LED daytime running lights, low/high beam, fogs (if spec'd) & rear tail light. SLT, AT4 & Denali have 100% all LED lighting.
My 2020 elevation has alot of the features that dont come with 2021…like leather seats …that entire center console..apple car play and some other things
Hello GM Jeff, I'm from outside Edmonton, Alberta. Looking at the difference in regards the 2021 Elevation Vs. AT4. The Elevation has an optional spray in box liner as the AT4 is standard, Correct?
The main differences are that the AT4 comes STANDARD with the 2” factory suspension lift and the X31 off-road package. The interior leather is SLIGHTLY looking. As far as the exterior, the AT4 is much more paint matched in regards to door handles, bumpers etc... Whereas the SLT uses more chrome exterior features.
Just curious, even if it doesn’t have the x31 badging are the at4’s still all technically the x31? Also is the at4 really worth it over the elevation? Right now I’m seeing the used at4’s for less than 10k over used elevations.
Yes.. all AT4’s come standard with the X31 package despite not having the badging to Show that. As far as resale, it depends how each of those two trucks were trimmed out, but the AT4 is the higher trim level by default
Fair enough, but that is true for all makes. No one can argue that it is just another cost cutting strategy on GM’s part. No other manufacturer would charge you more for 4Lo if you paid for a 4x4. Not even GM up until this last update. It doesn’t matter though, cos that is just the way the word is headed. Corporation sells latest phone without chargers or headphones for a ridiculous amount of money.. Dum dum people living paycheck to paycheck look at it as just another payment. AT4 does not have the front bench seat like the elevation does. Having front bench seat allows u 2 seat 6 people rather than 5. Bucket seat AT4 is a whole lot more expensive than elevation.
AT4 is a better pkg and value imo.....not that much more money and get alot more features....looking at one right now and had an 21 elevation......elevation is an SLE with black rims and chrome delete....few more items inside but not alot Always buy the truck you want becuz you will always wish you had later on dtl
Depends how they are spec ordered... realistically you can get an Elevation Crew for as low as approx $56ish Canadian and and AT4 as low at $68ish ... MSRP pricing.... The red one in this video is $59k, and the white AT4 is $82k
Go onto the GMC Canada website and build & price. I just speced out a very similar Elevation & AT4, and there was only $2k difference, but the AT4 came with leather and Navigation. So, it comes down to how you want it spec'd and whether you want leather/cloth.
A 4x4 truck with a transfer case and low range is an option, if this doesnt spell cost cutting cheaping out and rich ceo's and investors more worried about thier millions than the quality and integrity of the product.
I actually disagree... For many, they will NEVER use low range, etc... It is family vehicle to throw an Atv in the back or tow a trailer with... If I could save a few dollars and not HAVE to have a two speed transfer case, then I would like that option to choose.
I got a 2020 elevation x31 upgraded to the at-4 suspension. Trucks a piece of junk to be honest. My 06 silverado was 10x the truck. Biggest waste of money I’ve spent in a long time. Sounds like it’s gonna explode when I reverse out of my driveway. Hit a crack in the road and all the dash plastics sound like they’re gonna fall into my lap. Got the Bose sounds system and can’t turn it above half before it’s muffled garbage. Dont waste your time buying it get a Toyota.
That's a big disappointment that the elevation dint come with two speed transfercase wait ago GM you bring more disappointment just like the so called blazer
Leather isn't worth it anymore. The leather in trucks is cheap and uncomfortable. You are better off to save the money and take your cloth seat truck to a custom leather seat shop and design your own for half the cost GM charges for their cheapo leather

The Elevation if you get the X31 package you get the all terrain tires, locking dif and the 4 low with a few others.

Max tow package is an option on the elvation but not on the at4

The front probably won’t fit .. brakes are larger for the ‘21 and needs more inside wheel clearance

Does the AT4 have rear heat and air? And is that an option for the elevation?

AT4 is a better pkg and value imo.....not that much more money and get alot more features....looking at one right now and had an 21 elevation......elevation is an SLE with black rims and chrome delete....few more items inside but not alot

Depends how they are spec ordered... realistically you can get an Elevation Crew for as low as approx $56ish Canadian and and AT4 as low at $68ish ... MSRP pricing.... The red one in this video is $59k, and the white AT4 is $82k
Go onto the GMC Canada website and build & price. I just speced out a very similar Elevation & AT4, and there was only $2k difference, but the AT4 came with leather and Navigation. So, it comes down to how you want it spec'd and whether you want leather/cloth.

The Elevation is an SLE. The AT4 is an SLT. That’s the biggest difference.

Main difference for me is 6 passenger on the elevation. You can’t get that in at4 or Denali.

A 4x4 truck with a transfer case and low range is an option, if this doesnt spell cost cutting cheaping out and rich ceo's and investors more worried about thier millions than the quality and integrity of the product.
I actually disagree... For many, they will NEVER use low range, etc... It is family vehicle to throw an Atv in the back or tow a trailer with... If I could save a few dollars and not HAVE to have a two speed transfer case, then I would like that option to choose.
I got a 2020 elevation x31 upgraded to the at-4 suspension. Trucks a piece of junk to be honest. My 06 silverado was 10x the truck. Biggest waste of money I’ve spent in a long time. Sounds like it’s gonna explode when I reverse out of my driveway. Hit a crack in the road and all the dash plastics sound like they’re gonna fall into my lap. Got the Bose sounds system and can’t turn it above half before it’s muffled garbage. Dont waste your time buying it get a Toyota.

It is... and it isn’t... It’s a lot of SLT features... but has the 2” lift, the X31 is standard, and much more paint matched as appose to chrome.
Elevation looks better
They rip elevation buyers not offering leather; but you can grab a set of leather out of the Silverado RST for $300 on eBay

Leather isn't worth it anymore. The leather in trucks is cheap and uncomfortable. You are better off to save the money and take your cloth seat truck to a custom leather seat shop and design your own for half the cost GM charges for their cheapo leather
