I've been cross shopping trucks for almost a year now and I'm just about settled on a 2023 Sierra Elevation double cab 3.0 duramax. I really want the AT4, but the Elevation is the highest trim you can get with the double cab and standard bed. It's fine with me because I can get a pretty much loaded Elevation for probably under $60k, which is way less than a similarly equipped AT4 would be. Nice overview.

New to GMC trucks, what's so special about these trucks compared to chevy & ford? I keep hearing they are the most luxurious but why else would I pay 80k+ for a well equipped sierra 1500 ?
I went through these online and am having a tough time finding the right combination of features. Ultimate, of course, has them all, but wow what a price tag. What I REALLY want is heated/ventilated front seats, heads up display, the super groovy driving assist (don't remember name but basically the truck will drive itself on known highways), multifunction tailgate (includes a step in it, which helps us older guys), and a nicely appointed interior. I don't know I need everything GMC offers in a Denali, but if Ultimate is the only one offering this combo I may not have a choice. Anybody knows a cheaper version, lemme know.

However, remember that there are various financing options available that can make these vehicles more affordable over time. 💰🚚 Also, the value you get in terms of features, performance, and durability with a truck like the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 can be well worth it for many people.
