Nice animation... but whole Grand Staircase must have been flooded before dome implode due to side windows (It's hard to imagine they could withstand water pressure long enough to water reach dome)
That might be true, however you do have to consider the watertight compartments would be filling with water that the forward ones would be holding back to some degree. The ship actually has to fill with water from the weakest point it can enter and there is a lot of space below the waterline which would take some time to fill up. It certainly would have been flooding at the point the water reached the dome, but whether or not is was completely flooded at that point is (in my opinion) debatable, but unlikely. The father aft you go the less flooding there actually is as half the ship was elevated out of the water and the water couldn't breach the watertight compartments as the top of the buildheads would have been above the waterline. The water doesn't just instantly equalise with the waterline, it takes time to flood and reach the level of the waterline. The forward Grand Staircase was just forward of the second funnel and went all the way down to E Deck. I'm certain that's in the 7th compartment. The 6th compartment and beyond weren't pierced by the iceberg. They would have been flooding certainly, but at a much slower rate than the damaged compartments. Also actually apart from the boat deck open area windows the portholes along the side of the ship were designed to withstand the water to a certain degree. If they weren't the ship would have sank much quicker. Similarly to the Britannic which had a lot of it's portholes open due to the heat and panic that day. A lot of the windows on the wreck are still intact amazingly and that's at crushing pressure and impact with the seafloor.
That's pretty much why there is a gapping hole where the staircase used to be. Sure the wood would have rotted away, but there's literally no structure left on the wreck. It was obliterated. I mean that's tons of water right there. It's like a wrecking ball.
I would love to see this same angle, but showing water to bust through only one of the side windows and allowing it to flow down the stairs until the room totally floods. A lower window for one video, and an upper window for a newer one would be perfect 🥺
Impressive, but a bit too fast to fully enjoy. I think you should slow the rate of flooding down to make the video even better. It’s still good, though.

There are somethings that are wrong. The split is NOT caused by the electrical engines. It's the machines's weight that made the keel, the metal part at the bottom keeping the bottoms stable, break. And when the keel breaks, the stern settles black and disconnects from the bow through the double bottom in a few seconds. There are 6 section that are off in the breakup. The forward towers(the one under the 3rd chimney), the forward double bottom, the aft towers and the aft double bottom. With these informations, and proper researches can help.
If you were referring to the final plunge then yes, it didn't list until it broke, when the a ship lists then stop listing and comes back to a zero trim, you can call that «returning to an even keel»
@@jonathanthebigredengine Yes but the ship can't break if the keel is still holding on. Because that's what caused it to break. Make some research about the keel.

Dude piss off, you're really going to other videos because you're so offended over an animation of a boat sinking. You're really going this far over pixels on your screen? I don't think you understand how much effort that was put into that animation and you're so upset because it gave some opinion that you don't agree with it. Why don't you go do something else instead of picking on other creators

Very nice work! Are you going to do fluid simulations for other areas of the ship? I think it would be interesting to see this in the mail room.
Would go very slow
Nice one, especially the audio!
If only we could have this in real time ):
Lmao the glass shattering sound playing like a second before the water just _crashes_ down is way funnier than it should be

How do I make one of these simulations? They look so cool
Blender, you can probably find some free 3d models and import them, then just add the fluid simulation
Looks like you were filling a cup at QT or Racetrack 😅

Frightening. Wow. Well done!
For a second, I thought Stone Cold Steve Austin would dive from the ceiling as soon as that glass shattered 😅
