    I hit a "home run" by clicking on your video review of this lens first. I'm a new amateur hobbyist and looking for an inexpensive quality lens. Thanks for educating me and for the great review.

    Thanks to your review, I now own this lens. I bought/won it on an Ebay auction for $110 USD + shipping. Going on a Safari in August! So stoked! Now I don't have to rent a lens. 8-D

    i got this lens couple years ago to shoot sports event, the AF is fast and silent... im currently using Canon 70-200mm F4L NON-IS lens but this one is still my favorite..

      what type of sport (indoor or outdoor)? can you give a few sample of picture? I want to buy a telephoto lens for sports and I can decide between Tamron SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD and Canon EF 70-300 IS USM II. I undertood that canon is more fast at AF, but also is with 150 euro much.
      Thank you!

    10 years ago I've had the cheaper 70-300 LD Di Macro non VC, that lens was so horrible that made me stay away from Tamron.
    Problem is I again need a zoom in this focal range without spending an arm a leg and a kidney.
    So how is the auto focus accuracy in bad lighting conditions? Heavily overcast days?

    • @Willenium2k4
      @Willenium2k4 2 года назад +2

      Much the same to note here. The non VC non SP lens is rather terrible in my experience. AF is very slow and noisy so no good for sports or wildlife. The optical quality is also terrible which shows in the huge chromatic aberrations on the images. As such I've also stayed well clear of Tamron lenses.
      My brother is using the SP 24-70 2.8 at the moment and it's his go-to lens everytime. Does seem to be quite nicely made so I'm considering the SP 70-300 but the AF speed/accuracy remains an uncertainty for me. I don't think it'll grab focus as quick as my 70-210mm.

      The non VC lens that you mention is not great. This lens however, is fabulous..totally different world. Great stabilisation and super sharp...

    Which lens is better for portrait photography? Tamron 70-300 /canon 70-200 f4 non is?

    • @technicas9297
      @technicas9297  3 года назад

      For portrait I would take the Canon because it allows faster shutterspeeds at greater distances (f4 instead of f4-5.6). So if you plan on doing portraits in the evening at 200mm without tripod I'll go for canon. (thus the difference is not strongly noticeable, but still makes live easier ; )

    Hi, someone recommended me to get this one to use for film for a parfocal zoom effect. Did you by chance get to play with it a bit to see if it functions as a parfocal lens? Thanks in advance!

    • @technicas9297
      @technicas9297  3 года назад +1

      Hey!
      Thanks for the question, yes it does great as parfocal lens. It keeps the focus very nicely thus I recommend using it with a zoom adaptor (like Canon PZ - E1, depends on your camera) to get steady zoom and great parfocal zoom effect.
      Have a nice day!

    Hey Bro Please answer! Will I get sharper photos with this one ? I have canon's 75-300 without image stabilization. like at nights with shutter 1/40? or overall as I saw it is a really sharp lens. Need to know youe opinion please.

    • @technicas9297
      @technicas9297  3 года назад +1

      Hey!
      I generally would not recommend using a telephoto lens at night because of its bad possible shutter speeds. If you are not photographing moving Objekts whilst moving the lens, I would stick to your Canon lens. The quality difference is barely noticeable and if you want to improve overall quality I would invest in a better camera ( with larger sensor! if you don't already have a full sized one). One more thing: for night photography I would look for lenses with an f/1.8 to maximum f/4, these one allow more light to pass to the sensor thus lowering shutter speeds. (if you don't need zoom capabilities)
      Hope I could help!

      @@technicas9297 thanks for the answer. I have 50mm 1.8,but I want to take photos of strangers at night with a telephoto.Actually Even with canon's 70-300 and Phtoshop editing I can get pretty good photos,but I thought Tamron's stabilisation will be a huge difference

    Hi!
    Between Tamron SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD and Canon EF 70-300 IS USM II which do you recommend? I want to use especially for sport events (indoor and outdoor). Also I will use in a Canon M50 with viltrox speedbooster adaptor.
    And the price for Tamron is around 330 euro and for Canon is 480 euro.
    Thanks!

    • @technicas9297
      @technicas9297  4 года назад +2

      Hey!
      It honestly depends on what's type of sport you want to take photos of. If you really need that fast autofacus you should go for the Canon but for me the velocity of the Tamron was good enough. So if you can afford not getting the auto focus to work perfectly on point every time you'd better go the more expensive one but if it's not dramatic go for Tamron will save you a bunch of money and as it comes to focal lengh both are the same.

      @@technicas9297 Thank you for the answer. I want to take photos at soccer and handball.
      So if you say that is not much difference between them (not such much for 150 euro), I guess I will choose Tamron.
      Thanks again!

    Welches dieser beiden Objektive liefert schärfere Bilder: Canon 70-300 mm IS II USM oder Tamron 70-300 mm di vc usd und welches ist Ihrer Meinung nach besser?

    • @technicas9297
      @technicas9297  3 года назад

      Hm schwer zu sagen, ich habe die canon 70-300 IS II USM nur kurz ausprobiert aber glaube dass die beiden von der Bildqualität her ziemlich gleich sind. Wichtiger wäre mit welcher Kamera man die Objektive kombinieren will. Meiner Meinung nach sind sie beide gleich auf und da beide sowohl das Voll- als auch APS-C Format unterstützen sollte es Qualitativ keine großen Unterschiede geben. Das Tamron ist Preislich attraktiver insofern würde ich es nehmen.
