I love how you share every detail, that shows you really care about aviation. Amazing Video btw!
Thank you Zakariya, I do care a lot about aviation since I was a kid! It just makes me smile no matter what. Love to share all this with people like me.
Thanks again for the comment!
@@TheLayoverAviation may I ask how do you know where the flights are arriving from and departing to?? ✈ 💪🏽
Beautiful airliner by Airbus.
Hey Klass, I use a live air traffic app where I can see all planes.
If not, I’ll just look up the registration and check where it was going that day.
Thanks for watching!
@@TheLayoverAviation oh, this answers one of my questions i had earlier in my mind thanks! I always loved aviation since I was a kid too! Your knowledge is unbeatable!!!!!!!!!
What can I say...A380, my favourite aircraft, the king of the sky, and Emirates, my favourite airline. And of course Dubai, my favourite city.
100/100 pleasure review
Wow, it’s a perfect 100/100 for you then!
Dubai is great indeed, but in the summer I rather be in Croatia.. It’s so insanely hot and humid now..
And yes, comfort wise I love the A380, but my favorite as avgeek would always remain the MD-11!
Vidimo se!
This is by far the BEST aviation channel on youtube! Great work the layover aviation!!
What an amazing compliment Mohsin! I am very happy to read that.
I’ll leave no stones unturned for us aviation lovers!
Have a nice one!
My favorite airline Emirates 🇦🇪 ❤️ 💛 .
Mine too!😁
This Video has a amazing quality 😁✌🏻
Thanks Louis! Glad my phone does its job correctly😜
Absolutely love your trip reports! The way you focus more on the experience by putting yourself behind the camera unlike most others, the way you give attention to even the tiniest detail as well the interesting trivia you add throughout the videos are just simply amazing! Watching your videos really do make us feel as if we're taking the flight with you and it truly makes our AvGeek hearts warm. Thank you for sharing these with us and I hope you will continue to do so in your own unique way!
Cheers! ❤️
Thanks Saving for the nice comment!
I have to stand out from all others I guess, so I’ve made my own style. I try to show what I’m usually very interested in myself. And I also want to proof that your experience starts by yourself. It makes me sick how others are making a profit from whining and complaining. When I fly the very same airlines after I have a lovely time. I get treated the way I treat staff.
So very happy to read your positive comment, this is why I do it! I hope you keep enjoying! Greetings from Germany!
How very well put! Alex really stands out from all the other aviation geeks with attention to detail and huge knowledge about aviation and technical details! And I know being a retired 747 captain! His reports stands out with head and shoulder above anyone else!!
@@flipboerrigter9487 Exactly!
Good job,i love that bar in the sky
Thanks Gunvald!
The bar is one of the biggest marketing hits in history, what an incredible selling point.
People love it, and so do I 👍🏼
Meet you there some day😛
Your attention to every detail of the flight makes your videos so unique!
Thanks a lot for this trip report! 🙃
Thanks a lot Eros, I try to make special for all those like me that enjoy the beauty and details of this marvelous world. Thank you for watching!
Qatar airwayd doha to tokyo
I like that you showed so much of the lounge. And that you had a really good time. All of those foods looked so tasty. Thanks for sharing and I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
There was just too much to show of the lounge. And it’s hard to imagine that the First Class Lounge is just more luxurious..
Thanks for watching and the comment Connie, I’m glad you enjoyed the experience!
"Ultimate" huh??? How about perfection!!!
Abdur, thank you!! And Eid Adha Mubarak!
@@TheLayoverAviation Thank you!!! It's very nice of you that you said it without me mentioning it!! Same to you as well.
Yet another amazing video! Business on the EK A380 looks incredible, and you are lucky to have emirates as a hometown airline. I’m also always amazed by how high quality and informational your videos always seem. It shows that you really have a deep passion for aviation, and the small details, like saying what each aircraft you show is or giving cool facts about the aircraft you’re flying, really help make this one of the best flight review channels on RUclips. Again, thanks for the great, entertaining, fun, and informative video!
Henry, thank you for the great comment, I very much appreciate your words for my work.
My passion is deep and genuine ever since I can remember!
Hope you keep enjoying what is to come.
Yes, I am very lucky to have EK as my hometown airline. I have been living in Europe prior coming to Dubai 11 years ago and I have to say that quality in air travel still matters here, in fact; it keeps improving.
That is even on the shortest if flights, so very happy to fly by my own or with my family. It makes a big difference.
Thanks again for the comment and I hope you can enjoy the great EK soon too!
Yayyy another report great report Alejandro I liked
Shukran Ali! Have a nice day my friend
The best video I have ever watched!
thanks Anita! It makes me happy you think so!
More good stuff on the way!
Holy Cow !!!...what a video !! Best I've seen....As a now-retired private pilot your technical comments took me back more years than I care to remember ! As we say Down Under "Good on you, mate"
Just came across this review today. My wife and I have been fortunate to have done the Emirates, Perth/Dubai - Dubai/London (and Dubai/Manchester) and return on the A380, Business Class, quite a few times before Covid screwed things up. Last time we travelled to the UK was with Singapore Airlines on one of their A380 in Business Class. May 2019. We were told they were better than Emirates. "Well, they're not". Certainly not on that trip anyway. Your review brought back all the memories we have had with Emirates. Your detail on all aspects of the trip from the chauffer ride to the airport, Emirates Lounges, and all the inflight details were the best I've seen. It was just as I remembered. Now July 2022 and was wondering where to go next year. Domestic within Australia, or New Zealand? Having seen this review, I think a trip on Emirates A380 is the way to go. Excellent review. I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your work. Nice job.
That intro.. 🔥
Great video!
so true that intro is aazing
Thanks!😛
Man..I'm really addicted to ur tripreports! From the shooting to the editing is so beautiful! Thank you so much for this wonderful tripreport!
Thanks Joel!
I love what I do and very glad that you enjoy.
Keep enjoying!
Thank you for taking me along on your amazing travels
Thanks for joining Donna!
ALWAYS stunned by how much detail you go into, you even describe how each piece of ailerons work...... I learn something new every time I watch ur vids
Thank you so much Simon! I learn something new every day and absolutely love to share it with you all. Enjoy the videos!
8:59 You are in a perfect spot! Sitting in an Airbus A380 and looking at a [cute] boeing 777.
I know, right😛
I saw this get posted and ik it was going to be awesome! the way emirates is, yes it's a dream, and seeing you cover it makes it a dream to the power of two, literal heaven. great vid as always!
What a spectacular comment, thank you!
Now just imagine a First Class video!!! I think my face would freeze in a smiling position.
Thank you again, I hope you get to fly it soon!
@@TheLayoverAviation Soon... But first, we need the first class review!!! 😁
YOU CAN DRINK!!!!! 😮 great video!!! I’m doing business class in July I can’t wait ❤
I drink but I also behave!😎
I actually become James Bond or something hehe.
Have an incredible flight and a lot of fun!!
@@TheLayoverAviation no but did you REALLLLLY drink everything in that video???? I’d have crawled onto the plane and dribbled all over the other passengers if I’d drank that much 😂
Uganda Airlines livery is so beautiful. You are a great and a rare find. A simple method to identify the planes on the tarmac makes this video magical.
It is a great livery. I had the chance to visit it during the Dubai Airshow, I like the plane. Now just need to find an excuse to fly to Uganda..!
It’s also quite a rare plane, very few airlines operate the A330-800. Perhaps soon!
Thanks for the nice comment, I’ll keep making more for you😎
Another brilliant review and I’m so glad it’s another Emirates review as I already know it’s going to be excellent. I can’t wait to fly emirates again, hopefully soon 🤞👍. Brilliant vid as always
Thank you Paul for being yet again here!
I fly too much with Emirates and have a lot in stock, I don’t know what to show anymore😂
I hope you get to fly it soon, but I recommend to try after the busy busy summer. I never expected aviation to recover so fast and find all the flights jam packed full, I’m looking forward for the autumn!
I didn’t realise Nederlanders enjoyed Australian Rules Football! Another great report, although Emirates cabin decor makes my eyes hurt.
I had no idea myself what the heck that game was😂
From what I know, whenever there is an interesting match it will be displayed on the screen in the lounge. I had a great time watching the football Euro and World Cup and I’m looking forward to the next World Cup shortly! So much fun to watch on the plane.
Pd. The new decor has some more greyish tones vs the faux wood ones, have you seen?
@@TheLayoverAviation no I haven’t seen. I’ll need to look out for it. The new PE seats look good.
so happy to know flight are full this days
Almost all flights I’ve taken recently have been close to 100% if not overbooked.
Glad the industry is doing better, but it sucks for filming😁
Wow! What an amazing product. The ice patch on the wing, obviously not a problem? Always excited to see a new video!
No problem at all. I wondered the first time I saw it but then noticed it on almost all A380’s in the world whenever landing, even in Dubai when it’s hot. It’s not ice but some sort of condensation then😅
Glad to see the bar at the back of the A380 back in operation again. It's quite the attraction and nice to be able to get away from your seat for a bit. Thanks for sharing the review - would love to make my own on emirates again soon.
It’s great to be encouraged to stretch your legs and socialize. Specially handy on the very long flights.
See, I enjoyed the Qsuites very much to JFK and beyond, but I was kind of stuck in my suite.. I much prefer to walk and talk!
I hope you get to fly EK soon. Thanks for watching!
I flew in the same seat between Dubai & London Gatwick in April this year, absolute loved the Lounge and the flight, especially the bar. The crew were absolutely amazing….Really love your vids, keep them coming….
Glad to hear that Geoffrey! Best seat and just a stone throw away from the lounge.
Thanks for your comment, I wish you more happy flights!
This was the second part of my journey as I had just arrived in Dubai after a 13 and a half hour flight from Melbourne in seat 18A and my first sleep on a lie flat seat(unbelievable after all my earlier flights had been solely economy class)….
nice flight again. tasty snacks😋😋 plane land with speed to hard on the ground
All the snacks were great!
The 380 tends to land hard, or at least feel like it does. Such a big heavy plane!
Just another amazing video 👍👍
Thanks Kate😁
Always love your channel and DXB, you spare no expenses in having the smallest details right down to the teeth.
Thanks a lot! I agree with you. And trust me, I can’t even show everything..
I think I might have covered like 40%.. Insane!
@@TheLayoverAviation 40% of what????
Excellent review. love the video. Flying the A380 in April from Toronto to Dubai. So excited for this flight after watching this.
It’s a must-do bucket list thing: The Emirates A380.
I really enjoy each experience incredibly much.. Have fun and don’t forget to prebook your seat!
In the Economy Class I recommend anything in the first or last cabin at the window, for the best views.
In Business Class any A or K seats, and if you can’t find those then any B, D, G or J in the front cabin.
In First my favorite seats are 2AK or 3AK.
Have fun!
@@TheLayoverAviation It was in fact on my bucket list. Hooked two business class seats 9E and 9F for 90,000 aeroplan points. I will enjoy, thanks.
Every time i watch your videos i really wonder how much a single human can eat and drink. Sensationell.
When i travel my stomach is in travel mode and i eat like a small bird and drink 3 litres of water. Absolutely no alcohol.
Other than that EK is still a top product up in the air altough you picked the old interior version.
You’re doing the smart thing Nikolaus.
I would however have little to show if I don’t eat or drink. I mostly keep it light when I’m not busy filming. The 3L of water I still drink!
It is not the most updated product in the fleet but nevertheless great!
I expect to fly the newest A380 this August, I hope they don’t change the aircraft.
See you around!
its amazing how youre able to pump out great content in a span of a week, every week.
its a delight to watch every vid of yours explaining in full details the entire experience so much i feel like im the one whos flying. love your channel
Thank you very much! It has not been on time the last weeks but I do my best to keep you all happy!
I hope you keep enjoying and if there is any airline or plane you would like to see, let me know!
Excellent report! thanks a lot for sharing! Incredible attention to detail. Needless to say the service offered by Emirates both on the ground and on the plane has little counterparts around this world. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thanks Roger!
The service just has no end. And I don’t even want to promote it or anything. It’s just that it wows me how much there can be..
I just can’t show it all because it would never end. And then I fly Emirates again two weeks later and it has all changed; different food, drinks, menu’s, settings. I don’t know how they do it🤷🏻♂️
Hey another great video loved it to many more safe landings
Nice seeing you around again Sultan! Thank you for the comment, safe landings too, enjoy the summer 😉
Lovely Video, such a joy😊
I hope Schiphol didn't lose your luggage 😉
No they didn’t Maria!
That would have made the milk sour.. But not this time😉
Thanks for the comment!
You have done a splendid job, very professional in minor details b/w Amsterdam & Dubai & of course the A380 too, looking forward flying Emirates A380 again b/w Melbourne & Amsterdam next 2023, flew Emirates A380 4 times b/w Melbourne & Amsterdam via Dubai (business class all the way) Tops *****!!!!!!!!.
Thank you very much indeed Ronald!
I admire people who have a trip booked for the next year, in my little world I can’t book anything until max 3 weeks ahead. I miss that stability!.
I’m glad you were able to experience the A380 that many times! I hope that on your next journey you get the latest A380 cabin, it’s lovely! And the bar went through quite the upgrade!
Thanks for watching 🙏
awesome Report. I love Emirates💯
Thanks Lukas! Emirates is designed with passengers in mind, so I enjoy that. See you next video!
Just awesome ......
Glad it is Ajay😁
Excellent intro and video bro, felt like watching a WB movie💙💙
Universal Pictures!😛
Thank you Dav, glad you enjoyed it. Felt like doing something goofy. Have a nice one!
Hola Alex and greetings! Mother in law Emirates, haha! I would sign up for that all day long!! Why would you ever want to fly any other airline. My trip to AMS was great and on the leg AKL-DXB there were 16 spoken languages on board. I would like to share the following with all your followers: as a retired KLM pilot your (technical) knowledge surpasses the average pilot knowledge. As a blogger your reporting is the most complete of all and surpasses Sam Chui (personal opinion). Not to mention your witty comments! It is such a joy time and again! Goed gedaan, kerel! Hartelijke groet, Flip.
Sam Chui and this channel is all good. Top Notch. IMHO.
And I’m flying to visit my real mother-in-law with Emirates this August, imagine my belly stress awaiting!
Now, regarding my knowledge, it does come with a lot of help from pilot & crew friends/family, and also because I like to read technical stuff whenever I find 5 minutes for myself.
While your knowledge is massive I do understand that your point of view is different then mine. I have some A380 pilot friends in Dubai and as they rarely sit by the wing or behind it they don’t really know what the wing is up to, so I like to show it to them at times. Some stuff they had no idea about! So it’s cool to have these chats with them and then pass the info on to everyone else here that might like it.
Thanks for you comment, I really appreciate!
Sam was my idol since I was young, he was great at what he was doing and he provided very detailed blogs.
He took a separate direction now towards to the broader audiences and I like it. He has access to many parts of aviation that many will never be able to see, so I am glad he shares.
Nogmaals bedankt! Groeten uit Nieuw-Vennep (op visite in Nederland😛)
What an amazing experience, a beautiful content ❤️. Regards from S.A 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Thanks Maria! I’m happy you liked it and that my videos make it all the way to beautiful SA ❤️ 🇿🇦

Great A380 Trip :D, i laugh so hard in that holding point in Dubai, A380 VS all those 773
The food looks fantastic! the mahamahra seems so good, I have a taste of it in Israel, yummy!
can't wait for your next flights :)!
I’ll try it the next time in Israel, hopefully I find something good!
Yes at the holding point everyone else does look like mosquito’s, but it must be tougher for pilots.. Kind of “mine is bigger then yours” story.
Imagine you work your whole career to become a B777 captain, and after 20-40 years of your life you finally manage. Just to park next to an A380 and realize your plane is half the size of the one next to you..
#holdingpointstories
I wish i could fly emirates Business, well i dont have enough money to Buy it but i will maybe fly with emirates New Premium economy. Just Found your channel and gotta say your aviation Videos are amazing!!! I love airports and aircrafts and when you watch aviation like this you get to See a New Look at airplanes! Thanks Marc! Always wanted to use that song in a video and found the opportunity😛
Really awesome video mate!
Glad you liked Jelmer! Going to Amsterdam today on the EK A380!
Found your channel only today & i've been binge watching all of your videos ever since. Love the detail, You really seem to be an Aviation enthusiast and thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences with all of us. I've seen you using an iPhone in a few clips, is that the only piece of equipment that you use ?
That’s very nice of you to say, thank you Shaad. I’m happy you’ve found the channel. I want to target people like you with whom I have a lot in comment.
Yes, an iPhone is all! I have my fancy camera and toys, but it’s just annoying and complicated. A phone I just take out and film. And the result is quite good!
Thanks again and see you around!
Great effort put in for this lovely informative video. Enjoyed watching it. Hope to get a chance to fly with Emirates EK A380 Business Class to Europe or America one day to enjoy the good inflight service and awesome food. Enjoy your future flights around the globe.
Thanks Bernard!! You’ll get the chance for sure, everything one wants eventually comes with time!
Flying the EK380 in Business Class to the US is my absolute favorite as it’s just great to be able to walk around and hang at the lounge on such a long flight.

@@TheLayoverAviation I'm flying Emirates A380 (Busienss Class) again later this year from LHR-DXB and then onwward from DXB-PER (Perth, Western Australia). I'll probably wiegh an extra couple of kilograms when I disembark in PER.
You very likely will, specially after the lounge visit in Dubai!!
But hey, I’m sure you deserve a treat and ode to yourself.
I’m looking forward to know how it went!
Great experience - the Emirates lounge looks like it could have replaced the Turkish lounge in the old Atatürk airport which I used to have down as THE Business class lounge
Hey Neil, Emirates has an even bigger lounge in concourse A (I used the one at concourse B). From there you can even board your A380 directly. It’s an amazing concept and hope to be able to show it soon.
So yeah, I so far prefer the Emirates First & Business lounge at concourse A over TK’s.
In the new Istanbul Airport I still need to try it out, hopefully soon.
Thanks for watching!
Красивый полёт
Recently found your channel and subscribed, I found the goof with the steak funny most reviewers would get rid of that shot.
Thanks for joining the team! I wish you plenty of watch fun!
Plenty of mistakes around in video’s, we’re keeping it normal and fun here 🍻.
No complaining or showing off allowed here. Just sharing the love for aviation and airlines. See you around!
Guess what. IM ALSO GOING IN BUSINESS CLASS TO ANSTERDAM SOON
Thank you for an amazing trip report. When you try the EK First class product onboard an A380, please make sure you fly a longer leg :)
I’ll hope to get to fly the “Game Changer” suites on the B777-300ER if I have the chance.. And of course also First on the A380. It’s so hard! But the hardest part is to find the resources😂
Thanks for watching and the comment!
Thanks for sharing this incredible trip! I've seen the Emirates business lounge from the Outside looking in, and I know how huge it is. This gives it a whole new perspective from the inside! I'd probably want to sample everything lol. I'm glad many airlines have brought back their A380's and I'm still holding out to finally fly one hopefully soon.. How was AMS Airport? I heard it's insanely busy right now.
AMS is an absolute nightmare, I returned from there yesterday and sadly it is just not worth it traveling there until they get their things back in order. I’m supposed to go celebrate my sons birthday there next month and I’ll cancel that if it continues, no way I am doing a 4 hour line with a child.
I can’t even show the full EK lounge as it would be a hell of a long and boring video, but I hope you get to see it for yourself! It’s just massive! And there are many more Business Class and First Class Lounges around the airport😵💫
Thanks for watching and writing!
@@TheLayoverAviation I sure hope you can make your sons Birthday. Maybe you can change your flight and fly into Belgium and take the high speed train into Amsterdam? Or another surrounding country in the Schengen zone and take the train?
They’re all kind of going through the same thing.. Shorter waiting lines but when you add the transfer time etc it’s eventually the same thing😅
We’ll see!
@@TheLayoverAviation AHH Well GL either way!
EMIRATES!!!!!!!
Specially for you!
@@TheLayoverAviation Haha, yes indeed!
Brilliant video. This just proves you don’t have to talk. I would love to know what editing software you use.
Thanks! This video took an awful lot of work but I’m glad it was worth it.
Why would I talk over the beautiful sounds of aviation?!
But eventually one day I will talk and show my face, if this channel becomes my sole job. For now I can’t!
Thanks for watching, see you around!
4:37 Wow! The Dubai Airport Lounge also has, like a first class suite! Isn't that so amazing?
Thats precisely what I thought! Just the IFE and Caviar missing.
Just a question, if flying overseas from Perth, Australia what is the best rewards do you suggest? Thank you for a amazing trip report.
Me and my husband flew from dxb to ams this past January…but unfortunately it was in economy but nevertheless the flight was awesome 😊
Great video. I will note that the A380 needs more speed than the A320 to take off. A320 Vr is between 135-150 KIAS, and the Vr for an A380 is 165-175 KIAS.
Thanks for the info, but I can assure you it’s not that much! I’ll confirm again with my A380 flight deck friends, I know the B777’s are in that range but a fully loaded A380 won’t really exceed 150 from
what I know! I’ll have a look!
Beautiful video and appropriate text. Enjoy watching your videos. How do you know so many tech details of flying
Are you a pilot ??
Thanks Anand! No, I’m not a pilot professionally, but I did do some studies and I have some family that are😄
The knowledge you give on every other plane is quite astonishing. Fantastic viewing
Thanks a lot, I enjoy what I do!😄
I was already tired of seeing u drinking but it was a great video 😀
It’s tough to balance for those that drink
and those that don’t, but what I basically do when I do drink is to show the actual quality that there it. It’s very expensive stuff so I find it relevant to show.
No drinking in the next video😜
@@TheLayoverAviation Another Saudia video?? Nice
9:50 I like the one that you can see more easily.
👍
Everyone busy watching the IFE, me laughing hard by reading the news headlines 🤣🤣
All bad news anyways😣
But yes, sometimes there are some random news headlines😅
I am passionate about flying.I shall work extra hard ,earn extra money and fly EK on Business class on my next trip. So irresistible. Didn't they give amenity kit this time.
Hey Errick! I’m so happy to be able to contact with other people as passionate as me for flying!
Working hard will pay off in every single way, be the best in whatever you do and you’ll eventually find yourself flying any plane you want!
No amenity kits on daytime Euro flights. You can however still request any of the contents if you need it.
On night flights you do get it.
Have a nice weekend!
Love the non verbal commentary. How much turbulence do you experience on these bigger planes? Cheers
The turbulence really depends on the weather circumstances that day and the location. I’ve had flights without any turbulence or some full of it.
Don’t worry about the A380, it’s a sturdy plane!😁
Thanks for the comment!
Will be travelling from Mumbai to London in the EK-A380 business class in 2 weeks! Have a long 7 hr layover at DxB. Can't wait to experience this!
Were you given an amenity kit onboard?
Thank you for showing your experience, it has just doubled my excitement!
I just wish I had 7 hours in the lounge.. Enjough time to eat, nap, eat and fly!
To/from Europe you only get the amenity bags on night flight if I’m correct, so if your flight to LGW departs at around 3am you’ll get. If it’s the other ones likely not, but if you need any if the contents you can still ask for it.
Be excited and enjoy it to the max! Have a lot of fun!
@@TheLayoverAviation I'm traveling in the morning flight to LGW.
Yes, as per Emirates, the amenity kits are only provided in overnight and long haul (7 hr+) flights. However, I asked as a few colleagues of mine traveled to London in the same flight that I'll take and got a kit. Was surprised to hear that since EK usually is very consistent in their service and such anomalies are rare. Kit or no kit, I'm just looking forward to the experience. And your video pretty much cleared all doubts I had. Now I'm much more okay with having a 7 hr layover knowing what awaits me in the lounge.
Thank you again, for sharing your experience with us and for replying! Wish you happy and safe travels, for all your trips!
that lounge is so big I have no trouble thinking it's a first class lounge
Emirates has recently pulled back A380's on a lot of routes due to operational issues.. Be sure to check if you will get the Jumbo or not!
Even this flight is now doing Moscow-Dubai
Also the kit is usually given on long haul flights.. so higher chances on your DXB-LGW than the BOM-DXB one
noice
Thanks!
also the max plane of spicejet might be the one that diverted to Karachi
How did you know when the glideslope was intercepted?
Whats happening with AMS, that u wont b flying in for some time?
Btw, imp question - what do u do for a living? 😅
I can see and feel it Harish! One moment the plane is leveled at 2000ft and then suddenly it’s not. The landing gear is also mostly deployed at this point.
What’s happening in AMS is the hours you have to spend in security lines at the airport due to the lack of employees.. But I have kept going there.
I work in the hospitality and travel business. I also have a multicultural family that’s scattered everywhere, so that makes me travel too.
@@TheLayoverAviation awesome! Lets meet up wen ure in Dubai.
Hi! Do you know if the Armrests were able to be lowered?
I know many of the armrests do lower yes, unless it’s an older A380 in then EK fleet. I think those don’t lower..
I would like to see how Root Beer is made inside of an Emirates A380!
Corporate punishment lounge...😅😅😅😅
Now I hate my job even more
Don’t worry, I also do my fair share of computer work 😂
The level of detailing in each video of yours is amazing. Hope 2 see more content on your channel
Thanks Viraj! Glad you like it. Vistara coming up next!
Is it true that on most Emirates European flights such as Amsterdam and Hamburg, there are bound to be more European cabin crews than normal serving the customers coming from those countries in the same manner such as Asian countries like Philippines = more Philpinos cabin crews as an example?
Greetings and my reply is; no not really! On any international flight Emirates tries to have between 12 and 16 speaking crew members. Sometimes due to repositioning and logistical problems this may change. But it is always such a comfortable feeling if someone meets you in your own language, right??
@@flipboerrigter9487 Right Right. Oh dear, silly me for asking stupid questions in overthinking.
No such thing as stupid questions!
And my dear friend Flip gave you a very good answer.
All I can add, from what I know, is that there might be more nationals from a certain country when that language is required for various reasons, such as language barriers or government rules. Examples of this include China, Japan and South Korea; you’ll find half the crew being from those countries.
When I fly to Amsterdam there will be some Dutch speaking crew, from either the Netherlands, Belgium or elsewhere.
But yes, mostly it’s mixed!
@@TheLayoverAviation That is what I was thinking about all along that on some flights, specific countries have more local nationals than usual for obvious reason. European countries like flights heading to Germany, there will be more Germans than any other nationalities in Europe as an example. Another case where in Asian countries where English is not their first language to begin with. Very interesting discussion. Thanks for clarifying.
Always a pleasure!
15:58 I see an Airbus A380. Where is that heading to? You are missing that one.
That one was too far to see the registration or to check live on the phone.
Why does air traffic controllers deliberately stall the A380s during departures but preferably allows smaller sized planes to depart first?
Hey! It all depends on various factores, such as slot times, congestion of departure routes, and eventually yes, size of aircraft. You have to think that when an A380 takes off it creates a lot of wake turbulence behind so planes have to keep more distance.
I hope I can get tower access some day and ask all this!
11:03 What does "PPE" stand for?
Personal Protective Equipment
😢😮😮😮
Ho do you know which plane is heading where?
I’ve got a live plane tracking app!
8:35 How did you know it goes to Male?
I can see on my live plane app!
4:57 A corporate punishment lounge? What's that for??
Lol. It is for people who want to play video games or watching the news tired of depending on the airport’s rather slow and antiquated WiFi E-mail and printing stuff since their laptop does not have that feature. Lol.
For people that always have some work to do.
I guess these stations became a little obsolete as now we are all connected with phones, tablets and laptops. These stations were handy when your laptop ran out of battery or there was no Wi-Fi anywhere.
@@TheLayoverAviation But punishment is a negative word. Is there another word you could use?
Lol.
@@LINJ638 Hey, why so many "lols"?
I wonder if a halal steak could taste differently than normal steak, especially because I do love medium rare juicy steak
Good question Taewon! I never really thought about it, and to be honest, I don’t think there is much of a difference.. Juiciness does not depend on the blood levels in the meat I think.. I honestly did not notice much of a difference.
All the steaks I buy here in Dubai are by standard halal and whenever I make them I ensure it’s medium rare and juicy.
The one on the plane was cooked more then I preferred, but that is just because it takes me long to finish the appetizers as I’m filming. So the meat stays longer in the hot oven then it should. Always happens when I am filming😅
@@TheLayoverAviation i see thanks for the comment. Those who reside in Arab must know better than anybody does.
13:48 and haha! B777s are smaller than A380s!
Much smaller!
@@TheLayoverAviation Such a start contrast in the size difference involved.
@@TheLayoverAviation Yeah! Half the size (single decker) while A380s (double decker). By the way, in a decade or two, will Airbus A380s be extinct?
I am one to believe that, unless due to some catastrophical event, the need for ultra wide bodies will arise in the next 20 years or so due to airport congestion and slots.
Amsterdam for example will cap 430,000 departures a year. It is now 500,000. That means that the only way to fly more passengers is to fly bigger planes.
So while the A380 seems gone for now, I do reckon there might be a need for similar planes in the future. Who knows!

☹☹☹☹☹
DXB needs to widen the windows for the Av Geek Planespotters indoors. Outdoors is great when sitting on a plane, but indoors, eeek!!!!!
True true.. There is a few spots in concourse C where you can see something but still hard.
Terminal 1 on the other hand is much better to spot from!
@@TheLayoverAviation And also they need to clean the windows often for better viewing as well.
5:27 Will there be a shower in the plane? No wait, that's only for first class passengers.
Lol.
If we’re at it, why not a playground for kids while the parents go for a drink?
@@TheLayoverAviation yeah, maybe we need to set up a kids only zone on the A380???? Crying room???? Why should they be together with adults????
@@LINJ638 On the Dubai Expo A380, we should set up a unique first class suite, and a kids room for all the kids.
Dude...u have a big stomach..... keep it up
If I don’t eat I don’t have anything to show😂
Me at 18:59 : What, Canada had a rule that g@y men can't donate blood?!😂😅
Edited: you can see that on top centre of the screen 😅
Dutch must be better behaved when drunk than Russians. A Russian would not have stopped drinking voluntarily in the lounge. When cut off by the waiters he would have become belligerent. Every flyer has experienced disruptions caused by drunken passengers.
Hey Peter! To be frank, I’m myself half Dutch and half Spanish, and I can tell you I rarely see a drunk compatriot.
Now, while I can’t generalize, I do have a mental list of nationalities that I know can’t handle drinks/tend to get aggressive.
And I’ve seen people being problematic due to alcohol, and it mostly fits a profile. Sad but true. Fun is ruined for all others around!
But I promise I don’t do that, I become friendly😎
And no kids are supposed to allowed in Business or first. Seriously.
Unless they are nice quiet and calm.. Some kids are very well behaved.
But yes, I’ve had a screaming kid running in First, that should be a no no..
This is what this Emirates airline is good at: Bigger is better or else go home empty handed crying like a poor crybaby!!!!!
You’ll never go home empty handed, not even on the very shortest flight😂.
Thanks for watching!
@@TheLayoverAviation Uh huh...... Not a problem.
