Thank you for this information. I know it's a year old, but still, it's helpful. It's hard, though, to list every day when you don't have the inventory, nor money, to list that much. But the advice was very helpful!

Completely agree with relisting stale inventory. Most of what I have sold this week has been items that I relisted, updated photos and descriptions for, etc.

  • @lldocter

Hi. Regarding lowball offers. I’m not a seller, I’m a shopper. Now, lowball is relative. I have often offered what I’m willing to pay for an item even though it’s much lower than the asking price. I figure the worst that can happen is the seller says no and I am not offended by that. I also have found there are sellers who are eager to sell at the lower price. We all know that items often have their prices reduced over time and this just speeds up the process. I don’t think the seller should feel offended by my offer to purchase and I am sorry if that is the case. Now, I’m not purchasing high end hand bags or high end anything, for that matter. I’m not trying to break into the world of Gucci for a song. Please understand that I and others like me are just trying to keep our families and our households outfitted in an affordable and environmentally friendly manner and if we are going to do it on Poshmark it needs to be around a price at which the item can be otherwise obtained. I don’t expect charity but I appreciate the seller who receives my good intentions for what they are rather than assuming I’m trying to take advantage. I’m glad for the savvy people who can procure a cute dress in my size for a couple bucks and sell it to me for a few bucks more. I think that’s a win for me and a win for them. I hope they think so.

The thing I always like to tell people about how to use Poshmark is to use it like a social media platform. Because essentially that's what it's built around. Which means the more input (data) you give it, the more results you're going to get. Which is how pretty much all selling platforms work. They're just robots that give traffic to your store based on how much data your provide it.
Titles, pictures, keywords, proper categories, proper price ranges.

Thanks for the great tip about listing consistently. I definitely noticed in the past that I make more sales during periods where I’m listing more often but I never would have thought to keep the daily number the same to optimize for the algorithm! I tend to declutter a ton all at once and list in huge batches but now I’m going to keep things in drafts and space out my listings so I post the same number each day instead of all at once.

What’s the difference between #1 listing everyday And number 10 relisting old inventory. By number one do you mean listing new merchandise in addition to its already listed?

I actually do a combination of the two and list a set amount of new inventory each day and I also relist a set amount of old inventory each day as well. For example listing 5 new items everyday and then relisting 10 old ones 😀

Thank you Natalie. What if I already have the item priced as low as I can go without losing money? When they bundle it, so I don't know why they don't make me an offer. So confusing!

One thing you could do is a write a message in the bundle thanking them for their interest in your item and letting them know the listed price is as low as you can go at this moment 😀 sometimes once buyers knows that they are more apt to go ahead and either purchase the item at full price or send you their best offer

Case n point. Poshmark is the absolute worst for people for really need money the most(which includes a lot of white women as well) and the best for attractive white women who obviously dont have it so hard. This app takes a huge chuck out of your earning but because certain ppl like to show themselves off(which helps gain more sells lets be real) and have the social media aspect and other things going on that most don't actually benefit from but makes you feel involved... its thee most popular selling platform. Lets be real some more... only white women have the power to make it so. Every single tip video is from a pretty or somewhat attractive white female. Never even an unattractive one and they always sell more. There's even a white female screen shotted making fun of black ppl not being able to sell. The CEO has a narcissistic 1%er mentality and I feel like most of you do as well. Hence the lack of changes and concern for customers and sellers alike. Damn right I pasted. Prove me wrong

I’m actually one of poshmark’s top 10% sellers. I started when I was 15. I’m not a “pretty white woman”. Anyone can do it!

Would you please post a link of the person making fun of black people?

Good Lord😫. That was extra cringe. Is that an excuse for a failed biz or just life. So weird.

When you say "share your closet" do you mean everything in the closet? Or just a few items 3 times a day.

I would suggest sharing everything in your closet at least once a day but 3 times a day is maxing out your shares 😀
