Building my first surround sound system with 4 of these Elac debut 2 , the Elac debut 2 center and 2 Elac 10 inch subs! Can’t wait to try it.. for under 1k I think it’s a bargain
Klipsch is bright, Elac is warm, they're just on two opposite sides. It's a matter of taste I think. Clearly for audio enthusiasts, the flatter Elac is more favorable.
Actually, Elac is natural, you hear how the sound is recorded, but Klipsch is all over the place, its just a brand, you will miss a lot of sound stage with Klipsch, look at frequency repose from audio review site for the Klipsch to see how much you are losing.

Wow I am surprised! I just paid $240 for a pair of these new Elacs on sale for the Holidays and I can't believe how much butt-kicking they are doing for the price! I mean the bass is deeper and more defined than the 600s. Yes, the 600s are brighter at the top, but maybe too much for me. I mean, the voice in act one seems to be too unnaturally edgy at the top. Then there's the detail in the mids and lows that is superior on the Elacs. Finally the 600s are pricier and placement is more of an issue. You definitely CAN'T go wrong with these Elacs.
First of all I see a lot of comments that the Klipsch are way to bright. But compared to the elacs, the sound is way more open and detailed but a little less bass. Front vs rear ported also. That said, i really like the Klipsch speakers on Rotel. I love the elacs too but not on this amp. As mentioned also over here in the comments to make them sing you need an amp that gives a more open and lively sound to make these speakers sing. Just my 2 cents
I'm in love with the RP600M but these Elac seems to be better in the higher frequencies. Klipsch win in the soundstage that I found wider and deeper. Elac is more balanced. Good detail all across. However, the clarity and forwardness of the Klipsch is ahead of the Elac. Detail is different than clarity. Some may argue the Klipsch has too much clarity, making it exaggerated. Dunno. Vocals - especially female - are better on Klipsch for my taste.

klipsh has more spacious and open sounds, the price difference has impact on this. Elac is a very good for the price! if they cost same price i prefer Klipsh

Listening to this on the Sony MDR-7506 on a macbook pro. The Klipsch high end is scratchy esp when the vocals are on. "Don't forget to remember" -> 1:15 vs 1:26

I think the elac sound a tad to dull, however,,I don't think it would be so pronounced here if it wasn't being compared to this particular klipsch. I think it would be fine..... both would be, the tweeter on the klipsch is actually nice, for a horn design they incorporate.
Definitely a flatter speaker. Klipsch trebel sounds more pronounced also due to its scooped out mids. Definitely klipsch has a more exciting sound, but not for everyone.
The A12 amp is much less 'energetic' vs it's smaller sibling, the A10. Like in dynamics and openness. I would say the Elacs (already somewhat warm, more natural sounding and thank god, no eyeballs piercing treble) could benefit from a more lively amp. Still, my vote goes to the Elacs 100%, as I'm not a fan of the Klipsch and, imo, its artifical sound.

The B&W 600 seires have always had a dip in the midrange and very bright highs (much like most of the Kliipsch bookshelf speakers). Some people love that sound, but it's not very accurate, and is poor engineering compared to much more balanced and accurate speakers from KEF, ELAC, Wharfedale, Monitor Audio, and others
Klipsch wins hands down. The Elac sound is like it's being dragged through mud with mufflers on. Pair the Klipsch with a good fast subwoofer and trim the highs off to suit your taste if it sounds too 'bright' to you. It's easier to take off what is there than to add something that isn't.

I own the Elac Debut 2.0 B6.2 's and quite honestly it's the best bang for the buck speaker out there imo . I got mine for 215 USD/pair shortly after black friday . They like power and will play quite loudly for their size and sound great with all types of music . (I'm using a vintage Adcom GFA-555 200wpc amp ) If I was to put together a new system 1000 USD or less I would consider these combo's : 1) Triangle Borea BR03 speakers with Cambridge Audio AXA35 integrated amp , Cambridge Audio AXR100 receiver , Denon PMA-600NE integrated amp, or IOTAVX SA3 integrated amp . 2) Elac Debut 2.0 B6.2 speakers with Cambridge Audio AXR100 or Denon PMA-600NE . 3) Emotiva T - Zero speakers with any of the above amps . 4) Emotiva B1+ speakers with any of the above amps . sounds almost the same... how i should know which is better? when there is distuband in recording mic, poor YT audio quality, and finally my non ideal speakers...

Sorry, I simply cannot buy into your taste in music. Music is very subjective and I find your taste in music unacceptable for serious listening. This does not make you any less of a music lover or me any more of a music lover and I'm ok with that. I have a pair of RP-600M speakers downstairs and I also have a pair of Debut 2.0 B6.2 speakers scheduled to arrive this afternoon so I will be able to do this very comparison playing music I love. I'm very concerned with the difference the porting makes. The Klipsch are rear ported while the Elac's are front ported. These will both be setup in the corner of my basement, a 24' x 24' open area with various acoustic distractions throughout the space. I have no idea how this will play out but it sure will be fun and isn't fun just the best thing to have. Peace

The Klipsch RP-600m seems to sound more balanced with the Rotel A-12 than it does with many other amps I've heard it with on this channel.
I think that's because the Rotel are very flat, to the point that people describe them as "dark", and that reigns in the Klipsh's brightness.
ELAC is softer and warmer, vote for it!

The bass definition is clearly better with the Elac. The Klipsch are muddy by comparison.
