I would add a collapsible silicone water bottle that I could fit a squeeze through travel water filter to process water into your bottle. It could fold down to fit in the same pocket. You never know when a questionable water situation will pop up! This video was so calming, I'm hooked!
Like the flatness of this bag, many smaller bags stick out so far, I'd be a hazard... What is the volume of this bag? And if you don't put a water bottle in that compartment, do you get the space back on the inside main compartment? I always find the clothing interesting because people don't do the math; 3 tops, 2 bottoms gives you 6 outfits, regardless of gender, one thing more makes it good for well over a week (I add a dress), then do laundry. This way, you can travel indefinitely and not just for a long weekend, with the addition of a mid and top layer. I do it simply with a Fjallraven Kanken with plenty of room in 16litres for everything I need for longer trips.
First off, thanks for watching and great comments here! The bag is 13L. And that is right, with no water bottle, that pocket can lay a little more flat. I’d also use that pocket for an umbrella if I knew there was going to be rain on a trip or a bathing suit if I was going somewhere warm where I was planning on swimming. I like the laundry detergent option too! I do that when I pack for a two week trip, brining enough clothes for just one.
I don’t know, but more than 1.5k subs and starting Nov 2023 seems fantastic😂 He more than doubled his subscriber count in the last three months. Congrats!
If you get a convertible travel vest that adds pockets and doubles as an extra bag when needed and a slim fit fanny pack worn as an actual fanny pack through the airport, they both count as apparel and not towards the personal item!
From my experience.. I wouldn't waste your money on a collapsible silicone water bottle... the amount of times the water went everywhere because of the way the air inside the bottle works made me regret it so quickly
Thanks for a great and calming video. I’m starting to travel personal item only (Kankan 16 l) and as a woman it’s interesting to see how no-nonsense mens’ packing videos can be. For instance, only one pair of pants and shoes! That surprised me.
Thank you for watching! Sometimes I will bring additional shoes and pants, just depends on weather, where I’m traveling to, how long the trip, etc. In some of my other videos I pack a little more in a slightly larger bag that still works as a personal item.
The caption brings up checked baggage prices as a reason to go to personal-item travel, but you've packed your toiletries way at the bottom of the bag... how are you dealing with the need to take the liquids out for screening at airport security, and then repacking them quickly to not slow down the screening line?
Not quite as light. She usually uses the small Away roller but sometimes goes backpack only with a Timbuk2 bag. I gotta convince her to make a guest appearance ha
If you like this style, I’d suggest checking out Bill Evans. One of the best jazz pianists of all time. Many albums to dive into. His trio stuff is fantastic.

Another great video😊 ❤So relaxing and the music is great. I am a minimalist when packing so I love all of your videos.
Thanks for the continued support!
Fantastic! There's no feeling quite like traveling light
Ha you’re right, there’s definitely a sense of accomplishment!

The Day Owl large is my daily bag and I absolutely love it! Never tried minimal travel with it though. Future challenge!
Love the quality and that they are sustainably made! They are definitely durable enough to pack tight for minimal travel!
Pretty compact I like it.
That was awesome.
Thanks for watching!
Lol, not me just using the bag as my lumbar support!
That small and it weighs 2lbs!!? Wow. Beast!
Definitely well made!
Nice and neat as always 👌🏻
Thank you!!
Great video.
Thank you for watching!!
Love these videos!!
Thanks so much for watching!
I never take a bottle with me. I simply buy a bottle of water at the destination and then reuse it. I can use the remaining space for other things
Cool

This awesome backpack unzips all the way down so really easy to access anything in the bag! This is why I pack the bag flat.
Does your wife travel as light as you? I’d love to see her packing as well.
Not quite as light. She usually uses the small Away roller but sometimes goes backpack only with a Timbuk2 bag. I gotta convince her to make a guest appearance ha
@@outenthelights if your wife agreed to appear it would be a real treat!! I hope she’ll share soon 🙏😍☺️
Enjoyed your outdoor shots in the beginning. Great music as always!

@@outenthelights yes I’ve seen the name on albums of miles Davis and John Coltrane
no packing cubes?
Check out the packing cubes video I just posted! I pack this same backpack with one.
So u just use 1 trousers? 😱 so simple
You got it! Just one pair for a long weekend works well!
What about pants?
I’ll be wearing them! A good pair of jeans will be perfect for a long weekend!
