I am a general contractor and work hard enough day. And I went from 245 pound to 190 pounds. In about a year. It’s hard to describe how much better I feel, it’s amazing. Especially on the knees. I just stopped eating all sugar, candy and drinks and took up cycling
Choosing water as the only thing you drink can have huge results, with basically no effort.
Carbonated water/soda water actually tastes a lot like soda, after you drink it for a while (your taste adapts to it). But it's still just _water,_ so it has 0 calories or sugar.
Every time I watch Keith saying goodbye to one of the kids, it hits right in the heart. I know the feeling. You guys have and continue to do a great job raising those kids to be independent adults. Empty nest sucks, but knowing they can spread their wings without you is a different kind of reward in itself. Bless you both.

Very touched by the video this week! As the father of four girls that have recently left the nest, I broke out in tears seeing Keith hug Finn good bye. And bringing Jane home to Montana is a beautiful thing. God bless from eastern Pa.

I’m a big guy like Keith but a couple of years older. When he was talking about your daughter and his voice started breaking, it made me start to cry a little and I never cry. You never get over losing a little one. I’m sure you both have looked at all your kids and imagined what she would look like, how she would be and all the interactions with the family that might have been. God bless you both.
Keith, regarding health drive, last year I made a change, by way of intermittent fasting, and shed 85 lbs. One meal a day, no snacks, no fast food, drinking water only, no additional exercise.
Now embarking on another 2-3 months of the same to move the last 40 lbs, then that will be me done.

Keith!!! My Man!!!! We level in so many ways. Same age, same issues, same future personal plans. We even have the same body type, weight etc (I am a bit more handsome though LOL). I was diagnosed with Diabetes in March. Since then changed my diet, eliminated sugars and carbs and lost 30 pounds, now shooting for next 30.
I love when keith shows his emotions to his kids, shows how much he loves them, you guys rock!

I fell in love with your family a short time after I started watching Sailing Zatara and the boy's channels. At times, I've been envious of the environment in which your children have grown up. I actually had tears in my eyes as Finn said goodbye to mom and dad.
I wish you all many more happy adventures, and I'll be watching all of them.

I also lost a child (2 actually) and that pain never leaves you. Thank you for sharing that very real and raw moment. ❤ one of the hardest parts of moving for me was choosing to leave my sons grave even though I know it's not where their souls are.

In 2005 we buried our 1 year old daughter, Emma Grace. I love watching you and your family. My two oldest daughters have now left the nest, and Mama and I are also all alone. Through it all God is GOOD!
It’s been over a year since i happened upon your channel. The boat life is so intriguing, but the family bond is what really makes things interesting. You don’t see it in everyday life. Also the fact that you have the ranch in Montane, gives a whole new perspective of how your life may change, but the family dynamics is still the same.

Wow, this was a tear jerker! So sorry about your baby girl! Glad you get to take her home to the ranch! Today is my niece’s birthday that was killed in a horrible ATV accident a few yrs ago. Raised her a good portion of her life so she felt like a daughter. Miss her every day! Safe travels to the boat!

I'm crying watching the segment at the cemetery. I once considered a job taking family photos where they had a baby that didn't make it. Even though I knew that it would mean a lot to the family I just didn't think I could stand experiencing so much grief day after day. Kudos to those photographers who do such an important service.
What a bittersweet day ... launching your last child on his own amazing journey. That was one of my most difficult days when each of my 3 left home. You've raised them right so you know they'll be back. ❤

I was so sad to see your baby's grave. It is good that you will not be leaving her behind in Dallas, You have a wonderful family and an amazing family playground in Montana with so many vehicles. Back to the boat and I share your obvious sorrow at your youngest moving on to his next adventure. It is a life milestone but you will adjust and move on. Safe sailing and successful slimming..
Watching you two say goodbye to Finn brought tears to my eyes. And I am not usually a teary kind of guy. And good to hear Keith that you are going to go on a health kick. There are no old fat people. Weigh yourself every morning and put it on a graph. Every morning. That's the key.
Had a neighbor who was 450+ pounds. She was healthy and had no health issues until she passed at the age of 90. It is all because of Epigenetic’s.

For me, it brought the essence of the Whitaker family more sharply into focus - people who live each day as if it were a blessing and treasure those around them with the same deep love and appreciation. Fellow Montanan, found your channel over a year ago before knowing you had a place here. Keith I wish you the best on your fit journey. I use to weigh 600lbs. Got down to 300 but gained 75 over the pandemic. I to just started working at it again. We can both do it! Thank you and your entire family for taking me on a tour of the world. Safe travels!
Finn and Kate will both be back on the boat before you know it, as a “part time” van lifer it seem like that era is slowly coming to an end.

I really love you guys, Keith I am doing the Carnivore diet, Beef, Chicken, Fish, and eggs, and losing 1 pound every other day with not much exercise. However, 3 years ago I followed KETO 20 Grams a day with no exercise and lost 50 pounds in 6 months. Remember it's a marathon, not a race. I started this time with carnivore at 277 and this morning I weigh 258 after 3 weeks. No sugar, no diet drinks, for Dr. Ken Berry on RUclips. I will be following you. It breaks my heart that you lost your girl all those years ago.
You are such good role models for your children. Wish more parents were like you.

Go Keith I lost 100 pounds doing a lot of walking and intermittent fasting works for me. I didn't diet. I ate what I wanted didn't measure anything, but I only ate within a six hour window tried to stay away from carbs , only meat and vegetables.

I spent the last 20 years getting fatter. Losing weight is easy if you follow a proper program, for me I found every pound I ever lost as soon as I quit losing. I an currently at 271 pounds down from 320 pounds. I wish you luck in losing your weight and then keeping it off.

I'm 55 had a stroke last year but now I'm in the best shape of my life.No I wasn't a big fatty I have always been in good shape until I was poisoned by a prescribed medicine made in China. I have no doubt that Keith will be Silly again if he chooses to do so. I should be dead right now, during my stroke I got really sick couldn't see and just wanted to lay down so I did. Woke up 16 hrs later and Dr's said that's rare. Love you guys and I hope you realize what an inspiration and breath of fresh air you are?
You two have Raised your kids Right and each one will grow up to be successful the relationship you have with each one of them is great....well done

You remind me of my dad, a good husband to my mom, a great father to four girls and one boy. Everyone who knew him, loved him. He was a truck driver his whole life and he didn't take care of himself, and he became a diabetic and lost his eyesight to the disease.
So Keith, yes, please take care of yourself for your family and friends.

Can’t stop crying. I didn’t know about Jane. I’m so sad for the family. That had to be gut wrenching.
I cried tears with you. And I know you’re truly hurting right now. My daughter will leave my home in three years and I am a single adoptive mother. I already grieve her loss and know it’s coming. But you have truly inspired my life with her. I homeschooled her for two years after retiring. No parent has 2 to 3 hour conversations with her child every day, unless they home school and really truly raise them through their day and manage their life. Leaving that to the government or anyone else is a crime. I am so inspired by your family thank you.
