Talking about the Punjab Board, the syllabus of 1980 is still being implemented here. Every year, new editions of advanced syllabuses are released in Cambridge. If there is no sense, then how will we change this system? The main reason is that bureaucrats are politicians or they send their children to Cambridge schools. Cambridge is a base system, but it is not the base system in Punjab. Will a poor child get this education from Cambridge? The people who receive education in Pakistan experience a double standard. There is separate education for the rich and the poor. It's a duplicitous system with a total of 32 boards. KPK, Punjab, and Sindh each have separate boards. Let's focus on the Cambridge Board, which is preferred by the elite class in Pakistan, including businessmen, bureaucrats, and Pakistan Army officers for their children. Why do they opt for Cambridge education? Why do they follow IGCSE, IG, or Edexcel boards?
Now, let's delve into why the education system of Pakistan hasn't been fixed. The education system in Pakistan heavily relies on rote learning. Success in exams is based on memorization rather than understanding concepts. Students may excel in board exams but struggle in entry tests for medical or engineering due to the rote-based system. The elite class prefers Cambridge education because it emphasizes conceptual understanding. However, the syllabus in Pakistan remains unchanged. In contrast, Cambridge regularly updates its syllabus, emphasizing conceptual learning.
The main reason for the lack of change in Pakistan's education system is the disconnect between policymakers and the reality of education. Politicians, bureaucrats, and military officers send their children to Cambridge schools, perpetuating the existing system. Despite some government schools existing, they lack resources. In Cambridge schools, English is the primary language, further widening the gap between the elite and the rest.
The admission criteria for Cambridge schools often exclude poorer students. For example, Aitchison School issued a notification stating that students from families with an income less than 18 lakhs would not be admitted. In 2023, around 210,000 students enrolled in the Cambridge board, generating significant revenue. If this money was invested in Pakistan's education system, significant improvements could be made.
The focus on English in Cambridge schools leads to a lack of proficiency in Urdu among students. The question remains: how long will this disparity last? Why don't we demand change? We applaud politicians like Imran Khan for their efforts, but real change requires sending elite children to government schools. Only then will Pakistan's education system truly improve. Unfortunately our students have gone too far in cramming in fsc that parents thought my marka in fsc is less which is not i got 85 percentage in fsc with understandment of topics rather than just cram things out and i am happy with this.inshallah one day i will prove them that i am right

And this is true i am also a topper in 10th class and my concepts in 10th class is fully clear , i am confident and i can write something on my own and my classmates who are securing more marks than me can't write on their own and teacher sometimes advise me to cram books lines completely rather than writing on my own after understanding a particular topic although they know i am writing facts on a particular topic . So i passed 10 with great marks and percentage because i listen to myself rather than teacher .

I know that Pakistani Education system is not good enough. We can make it more and more better. I think this situation will be change in future finally after this 4-5 years gap. We Pakistanis are not using everything fully, we’re more interested in abuses, watching memes and supporting politics. As for high profile people’s children pursuing more better education’s reason is very simple, everybody wants to live better life and pursue more better education. As for cramming, it’s not our Education system’s fault, it’s our children’s fault because they don’t study and thinks that Education is nothing and it’s just a burden.
