The design of Corviknight is brilliant. It's name and typing are cleverly well made, and I like its stat distribution. This pokemon was one of Gen 8's best designed pokemon imo. I hope the knight in shining armor will continue its presence in OU. Great video as always Jim! 👏👏

The Pokedex has many inaccuracies but it's kind of funny how wrong it is when it comes to Corviknight being a "prey" when with its speed itself can avoid Tinkaton without even needing to fight it
In the early vgc dynamax meta, corviknight was a great Pokémon and basically always ran mirror armor to reflect all the common stat drops from dynamax moves. It’s fun that pressure is actually more consistent in singles
i’m surprised power trip bulk up isn’t being considered as an gholdengo lure more, but that goes to show how insane body press/iron defense is. imagine if mirror armor worked like a unique magic bounce exclusively for corv along its stat drop deflection

Corv is that old reliable mon that you know can handle a threat depending on EVs. Ngl making balance team defensive cores this generation is tricky because of all the threats flying around but corv definitely makes it easier.
You forgot to mention Corviknight is mathematically more tanky than Skarmory. Although Skarmory has more Defense, Corviknight has more HP making it survive hits that could kill Skarmory. Not to mention it has higher Sp Def.
Max defense Skarm does take physical hits very slightly better by like 1%, and has 3 more speed... though when you count the extra hp recovery from leftovers, a better movepool and special defense, not even close.

Corviknight is my favorite pokemon. I'd love to see it get some moves to make it better in doubles, since I personally prefer doubles to singles and I'd love to use my favorite mon more in my favorite battle style

Editing this comment since Mirror Armor Corviknight MAY be one of the best counters to the incoming Tera Bug Samurott Raid since it has both Roost & Light Clay Reflect to complement Bulk Up & Drill Peck, but we'll see with it's formal release.
I've been using Corviknight in Tera Raids and it's been beautiful. 3 screeches to let the others land some heavy hits, then shields go up and I'm bulking up twice and them helping finish off the Raid Boss. Mirror Armor is the cherry on top

I may not be good at this game, but I had an absurd amount of fun in Gen 8 OU with a Mirror Armor, Iron Defense-Roost-Body Press Corvioknight. It's a hell of a wall who gets tankier as it gets ready to drop a fucking freight train of a max-defense Body Press on opponents, and few things are funnier to me than opening a match against an opponent's intimdate Landorous by bouncing their own ability back at them. Its just cathartic. Corvioknight is my favorite Gen 8 pokemon because of all the fun I had with him low-ranked on Showdown, and by a long shot.
I remember one of this first tournament matches I watched was a WCoP SS OU a friend showed me (think it was on Freezai's channel). Corviknight just stayed in on stealth rock and used defog forever. The perfect pokemon.
Gamefreak really said "it's powercreep time" and straight up made the best regional bird by far. Corv feels like a mandatory pokemon in the meta right now.

The real question is, does Iron Mugulis still have 1HP? If that's the case then New Dog Pokemon Mabostiff just has to bite Rotom's door. Rotom has the bulk to survive this but Iron Mugulis doesn't. All this assuming Spidops isn't around
