Going for Thoracle win with Esper Sentinel in play is incredibly dangerous. Esper Sentinel is NOT a "may" ability!
If I am not mistaken, Jan could have casted the eladamris call he exiled with pako while the thoracle trigger was on the stack to kill eliot with the esper sentinel trigger
@daramdor28 he cast swan song and Sentinal is only once per person per turn.
@@exca1b3rpendragon98 he could have done it instead of casting Swan Song, after the Demonic Consultation resolved
It’s prerecorded that’s why he didn’t have to remove it.
This is why I prefer Tainted Pact. It's 1 more mana, but you can leave yourself 1-2 cards as a cushion and the ETB will still clear them out.

I was genuinely shocked that Jan attacked at wheeler on his last turn instead of killing Eliot. The stony silence had him completely locked outta the game and thoaccle is the only Wincon for that specific boardstate

i caught a mistake by jan. with pakko and haldan only care for non creature cards. it is not possible to cast dranith. i have lost to that stupid dog, i mean good boy, enough times to know that :p

why didnt wheeler grab portal to phyrexia in response to phyrexian revoker?
Maybe he already had Spine of Ish-Sah in hand at that point and didn't want to waste a tutor effect on a solution that doesn't win him the game.
I think he said he doesn't have much experience with the deck. I'm sure it was discussed after the fact.
all it would have hit was birds of paradise and esper sentinel. I guess those aren't the worst to reanimate later, but copy dockside into throne gave him so much mana
You couldn't have cast Drannith Magistrate
I missed why wheeler didn't play magda in the last turn, he could get torpor orb, or get enough treasures for two activations, then get maskwood nexus and dwarven bloodboiler and combo off with the battered golem he had in hand
He only had two mana, the rest was artifact mana, which was shut off by stony silence. Magda cost 4 at the time.
Isn't Jetmir the bad Rocco in Cedh? Rocco is a win con and a tutor in the command zone, while attacking is kind of bad in cEDH atm. My Winnie is still sleaved up, but just doesn't win the way it did along time ago and is too good for high powered commander.

Sweet game of a couple players doing cool stuff followed by someone else crapping out a Thoracle.
everytime they comment on the fact they're playing in Jim's basement, it throws me for a second, cause the set just looks so good, very clean (obviously excluding their sponsor's product which they have to have on display)
