You are a legend! Going the extra mile and providing high quality, vetted, links to inexpensive options of adapters that have an instant use case and somehow still managing to get a cut off the backend at no expense to your viewers….that’s why you are a legend. Respect! I love the way you think!
Can you explain more? My 3 in 1 adapter recognizes the keyboard but not the mouse or HDMI. I have a working Cricket Dream 5G, recognizes keyboard not mouse or HDMI. And a black screen Samsung Galaxy A20, and a black screen Motorola XT2093DL not recognizing the display so I don't know if it recognizes keyboard/mouse
@@SmartDepot hello will this work for a Samsung s21+? I have a broken screen and it's working but just black and can't see anything. Would that device work for me as well? I really appreciate the help!
This worked. The Phone store said there was no way for me to transfer the contents of the phone if the screen was broken. I know there had to be a way. After watching this I ran out an purchase a USB-C to HDMI, 2 USB 3.0, Ethernet, SD Card Slot, and 1 USB-C charging port. Plugged it in and after some fiddling to get the screen to unlock i got it to work!!!!. Genius!!
After what kind of fiddeling?had to spend 40 bucks on this kinda of cable port and get a whole lot of nothing . Like I can get my working phone to unlock no idea what the broken screen one is doing other than getting power cause when I plug it in it beeps like it's charging. Either phone doesn't get display onto a Monitor though
@@johnmenard6864 you have to unlock your phone before it will display on your monitor, meaning you have to type in your password on a black/broken screen unfortunately.
Thank you soooooooo much!!! Your video save soon many memories of my baby boy I was afraid I lost forever! I was literally in tears before I found your video. You are a life saver!!
I have a broken screen on Samsung S8 . I need to mirror the screen to a laptop and understand I need a usb c to usb mouse but will that just automatically show the screen on the laptop
Thanks man, this is amazing. To anyone who has trouble setting up the HDMI connection, for some reason it did not work when I tried to do it with my monitor, but it worked when trying it on my Smart TV, so this might be something to consider if you have problems.
So I tried your method today and for me when I plugged in to my monitor I had the lock show up and pressing ESC or ENTER did not bring up PIN keyboard. So I tried simply typing my passcode anyway using physical keyboard and it unlocked it without any problem! Im commenting this for anyone who was also stuck at the unlocking part. Thanks for you tutorial (Edit: Also the spacebar button seems to help entering the phone if others don't work)
I have fingerprint lock followed by pattern lock of fingerprint fails. I cant go beyond the screen of a padlock and time showing up on the monitor. Samsung S10. Pls assist.
My dude!….Glad I found your channel. I’m somewhat of a tech Guru myself and I can say you do a really great job, getting to the point, not over explaining, and delivering content the people need. Hats off to you brother. I have a feeling we’ll be trading tips before long. I’ve always used IOS devices and have very little practical knowledge of the extendability and extra features of Android devices. I learned 3 very cool things from this video and wanted to say thank you! Subbed!
Thank you so much 💕 it is comments like this that give me the strength to continue making videos. Thanks once again for the sub. I'll keep making more videos
He literslly did the oposite of what ur saying. He litterally showed some adapter (zero explanation of where, what, how, you know the reasons to watch this fing video) then cuts yo it hooked up and working. I dont knlw whos dumber you or him. So all I see is the lock icon and time flashing on and off on the monitor. It doesn't give me the option to draw the pattern to get into the phone. Any help? One plus 7t.
Are you using the type of adapter that I use? Connect a keyboard and click on esc, space bar, delete, ctrl + esc, or ctrl+Alt+esc and you will see the option to put in password or pattern. If it is pattern, plug in mouse 🖱
@@SmartDepot Yes I am. Those buttons don't do anything. I have tried mouse... using a working phone I confirmed the mouse cursor shows on the phone but not the external display which just shows a lock icon still. This tells me I'm going to have to guess the lock pattern location and see if that is even possible as the screen is completely done. On reboot the external display flashes the phone provider for a moment then goes to only showing their lock icon... it isn't allowing the external display to mirror the lock screen for entering a pattern. Any ideas?
Amazing i never ever seen a RUclipsrs like you... I am fallen in love with your content amazing you saved my money to change screen my data was important but my mobile was cheap and this adapter is more cheap than mobile panel... Thank you so much ❤

didnt even needed to watch the video right after you mentioned the hub and me realizing i have one for my macbook already, thank u for the reminder bless u😂🙏
Thanks for this video. It worked out well. Got all my old photos and videos off my phone. I actually connected a flash drive into the USB port on the adapter.
Thanks a lot!! Even thoug my A30 didn't support OTG i could use the USB-C Display Port, an old keyboard, a Chromecast and an app called Easy Screen to copy the old files!! This was the only solution i could execute

Hi there, I have an Oppo Reno 2z which is completely smashed, the screen has mostly come away from the rest of the phone, so I have no touch ability at all and cannot see what's happening on the phone at all. I hear noises so I know it's on and 'there'. I tried connecting my phone to the computer monitor (AOC) and i just get 'no signal' I tried on the smart tv (tcl) and 'no signal' I have a cheap 3 Port USB-C to HDMI Adaptor from kmart is this the problem?
thank you for this helpful tip. i have a blacked out screen on a samsung galaxy A31 i want to know if this device will be compatible before i purchase, also the part where u connect a type C cable is that a charger
Unfortunately, A31 doesn't have USB-C port display output so won't work on that device. The USB C port on the adapter can be used for charging or USB connection. Once connected to charger, it triggers Samsung Dex
MrShagniksaha: did you ever get a reply. Perhaps other people thought your question was a joke. IDK. IMO the video could have been a little better, but I believe that he said that he was going to make a video showing how he connected the cables. The secret is that all flat-screen Televisions/monitors have at least 1 HDMI-in, port. That simply means that with an HDMI cable, you can plug any device with HDMI-out, into the TV. The trick is that smartphones don't have HDMI-out. Hence, the HDMI adapter. Simply plug the adapter into your phone, connect the adapter to your Monitor/TV and you will see your phone on your TV/Monitor. Basically, you are sharing your screen, but assuming that you have configured your USB-C port properly, it is a very simple, automated process. Like 1, 2, 3, 4 fast... 😂😂😂 I hope that this helps someone, if not you.
@@Durttar695 I have an older TV, but it is smart. when i trun on Nintendo console (HDMI) it figures it out.... but for some reason its not figuring out the phone. if i restart both devices i can get it to say "retrieving data" before switching to "no signal" but then it stays on "no signal" despite having an unlocked phone plugged it the correct HDMI port
I really wanted this to work on my Pixel 5a, but no luck. Tried with my portable monitor, regular monitor, and TV. My Pixel 5a screen is completely black, but still makes haptic actions for instance when you plug it in to charge, or when you press the power button. When it still had the sim card in it, it would ring if I called it. I bought a Hub as you suggested, and I have a couple of HDMI cables as well as USB-C video cables, but I couldn't get any of it to work. I know I had developer options turned on but I don't think I had USB transfer selected, although there is a strong possibility I did. Probably the phone is just hosed. It was worth a try!
It won't work in any Pixel A series. Google even disabled display output for some of their Flagship pixel. It's quite unfortunate but your best option is to replace the screen.
@@SmartDepot alr can i connect the phone with my laptop using hdmi cable and they usb c to hdmi? Also do i need to get mouse and keyboard differently or if i connect it with my laptop i can easilt use it?
Your laptop hdmi port is not for input so, you can't connect it. You need a monitor or TV for that. And you'll need to connect USB Mouse and/or keyboard depending on your need
I think Google disabled it for Pixel 6 series. The other thing that could work is USB debugging mirror but you had to give the permission while the screen was still okay

Hey great video. Unfortunately im having some troubles, Once i connect everything, the p20 pro, USB OTG hub keyboard and mouse to the monitor I get a black screen like my phone which the screen and digitizer doesn't work, my monitor however recognizes something is plugged in but its just a black screen. ive tried typing in my passcode but nothing. I tried with my current new phone and it all works mind you I still get a black screen until i unlock my phone then it screen mirrors. Is my phone a lost cause or is there some tip or something i might of overseen or made a mistake with. thanks in advance.
I Just tried that and nothing unfortunately. the phone vibrated and i tried clicking on the mouse randomly and I hit something to prompt a voice saying "Youll have to exit airplane mode to do that." My monitor light is green though so it recognizes it and the mouse works for sure. I tried with my P30 pro and everything works.@@SmartDepot
hello, this video is very good and im wondering f this will work with my iphone 13 promax. the screen is blacked out but i can still hear when i get emails, calls, ect. any advice you have would be fantastic!
I know this comment might not be relevant since it's 5 months since video released, but I want to thank you for this advice. I was trying to use Samsung dex with hdma however it required confirmation on the device, which I couldn't do with unresponsive screen and somehow it never came to my mind that a simple hdmi adapter, not dex adapter from Samsung, would simply send video signal instead of doing mumbo-jumbo. Thanks again
I feel this is the reason why Samsung Dex failed. If they had made it easier for people to use the feature with simple adapter and marketed it that way, more people would have adopted the DEX. Having to pay over $100 for Dex hardware for something that can be achieved with 5-10 dollars adapter is a pure rip off that backfired badly
@@SmartDepot?😂😂: your comments should be pinned 😂🏆🏆🏆👍🏿 I kept hearing the promos for DEX, as the greatest thing since sliced bread. When I saw a online demonstration, my first thought was exactly yours: WTF, I could basically do everything DEX does, with a good quality HDMI adapter and HDMI cable. $20 or less, total... 👍🏿 Edited for TYPOs
Samsung wanted to rip people off with DEX as a new Ecosystem but didn't get Apple's memo. They would have made the DEX function proprietary and don't let it work with any other adapter
Now i know i did not waste 50$ to buy a wireless charger, this port and a usb hub to make a pc setup out of my broken phone! (I just need to connect it to the TV when i buy a HDMI cable tommorow)
Hey! Will this work with the Samsung Galaxy A51? I tried to mirror the screen with the same adaptor and it did not work. I tried to do it with a laptop.
Not even Xiaomi 12 Ultra supports USB C Display port output. Xiaomi way of cutting corners. Using USB-C V2.0 in their flagship phones instead of USB-C V3.1
Hey there, quite informative video, but will it work for my Redmi Note 5? And can you provide link for the adapter? And what would u suggest for how many ports one should take?
Won't work on Redmi or any Xiaomi phone until Xiaomi 13 and newer Xiaomi Flagships. I still use my Redmi note 5 pro. I do get knock off screen from Aliexpress for $12

What device and OS version? From Android 10 and above, Google added some restrictions to 3rd party accessories access via ALT mode. Let me know what Android version and device model
does the device need to have HDMI Alt Mode? i've been confused withType C - HDMI cable and HDMi adapter, some says u can use adapter if your device does not support Alt Mode as long you have OTG support even with out hdmi alt mode. is that correct?
Haha, you seem to be the only person who have commented about ALT mode. Impressive! The truth is, Every Android phone with USB-C v3.1 should have ALT mode but some Android OEMs don't apply it or some even disable it to avoid extra cost and license fees. All Samsung flagship from S8/Note 8 and newer has this feature. Let me know the device you have to check if it has this function
@SmartDepot thanks for the notice! my Device was actually Tecno pova 4 pro, I've been trying to find ways so i can try to fix it or just like cast it on a monitor so I can transfer my files, I bought this HDMI To type C cable Unfortunately it doesn't work and some people suggested getting an adapter or something. btw i dunno if my device is even known much cause I only see the least video about this one. edit: it was on redit some guys I can try a UsB hub or adaptor ifmy device doesn't support alt mode, but those things are actually kind of rare here at my place and at most just some unbranded and untested products.
@lotus_kun2536 No way USB ALT mode will work on Any Tecno device. I don't think there's any Tecno device that is using USB-C v3.1 not to talk about ALT mode. That's how most Android Chinese OEMS cut cost or cut corners
Hello, I have on Oppo Find X5 that got water, and black screen, but still works (PC detectes it, car etc...) but I don't have usb debugging on. I got a device similar to yours on amazon, UGREEN Revodok Hub USB C HDMI 4K, when I plug it on a PC monitor or TV it works but displays date and time, and I cannot put the lock pattern, it seems to display it on the phone rather than the monitor. Check out the type of the adapters in the description. They have an option for additional USB port. Since it is a pattern, plugin a mouse 🖱 and try dragging along the pattern
@@SmartDepot thanks for the quick reply. I did put the keyboard and mouse, but it doesn't duplicate the screen like in your video, in the tv it shows date and time with a lock, and the mouse doesn't go to that screen
I can't see how you hooked everything up. how do you hook up the mouse? you said you needed a hub but you didn't explain how to hook up that or what hooks up to the plug coming from the phone, please help
Let me start by asking what's your device model and OS version? The adapter can be found in the video description if you don't already have it. USB hub means USB splitter that allows you to connect two devices like mouse 🖱 and keyboard simultaneously as the adapter has one USB A port.

@@SmartDepot sad then, do you have any idea how can I recover my data then ? like the internal storage everything works but I cannot see the display (after all I need that to know what I'm clicking to set usb to file transfer)

My phone, Samsung s8, has a broken, non-functional screen and it has been switched off. Your method does not work in this case because the OS does not start in the first place to allow the phone screen to be mirrored on the laptop screen and for the mouse to work on the phone. Any ideas? Thanks
Salaam, brother, did you ever get a reply. What does "switched off" mean exactly? If the phone is just powered off, the method will work. Even with a damaged, unusable screen. Actually, that's the point of the video; to help people who's phone screen is black, but still wish to use the phone. Make a wired connection with your TV/MONITOR and mirror your phone screen. No BT, etcetera required. Hope that this helps, Friend.

If USB debugging was turned on before the screen was broken and you selected the option to always trust this computer then you can use apps like Vysor and others to view your phone on the computer that was trusted by the phone, else, only option is to replace the screen

Tried connecting my screen directly to my phone (via hdmi-usbC), and nothing shows on the pc screen. The phone is working, my alarms go off in the morning, but nothing on the screen. Do you know why?
It depends on thr device model - USB-C display port output works only on select Android Flagships from 2018 up. It's an important feature that all Android phones should have

So I had a Samsung Galaxy A70, it fell down and the screen went black and stopped working, but I think the phone itself is still working because it could still ring the alarms and I felt it receiving calls, so now I bought another Samsung (Galaxy A52S 5G) and I really need to transfer all the data (mainly notes photos prints etc) from the A70 to this one, is it possible? I had pattern blocking the A70 And which adapter do I need to use? Please answer when possible! Thank you Edit: I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but I didn't make the last update on the A70
Unfortunately, A70 cannot work with this method. If you didn't setup ADB debugging on before the screen died then the only option will be to replace the screen

Genius!!

Any ideas?

My question is: it works the same even if the screen move on its own without touching it?
How did you project the phone screen to the monitor ?
did you ever figure it out?
I hope that this helps someone, if not you.

It won't work in any Pixel A series. Google even disabled display output for some of their Flagship pixel. It's quite unfortunate but your best option is to replace the screen.

is there any way to do this with micro USB?
Sorry sir does the phone need to be able to support OTG
I know this comment might not be relevant since it's 5 months since video released, but I want to thank you for this advice.
I was trying to use Samsung dex with hdma however it required confirmation on the device, which I couldn't do with unresponsive screen and somehow it never came to my mind that a simple hdmi adapter, not dex adapter from Samsung, would simply send video signal instead of doing mumbo-jumbo.
Thanks again
Were you able to control your screen from your PC?
I feel this is the reason why Samsung Dex failed. If they had made it easier for people to use the feature with simple adapter and marketed it that way, more people would have adopted the DEX. Having to pay over $100 for Dex hardware for something that can be achieved with 5-10 dollars adapter is a pure rip off that backfired badly
@@SmartDepot?😂😂: your comments should be pinned 😂🏆🏆🏆👍🏿 I kept hearing the promos for DEX, as the greatest thing since sliced bread.
When I saw a online demonstration, my first thought was exactly yours:
WTF, I could basically do everything DEX does, with a good quality HDMI adapter and HDMI cable.
$20 or less, total... 👍🏿
Edited for TYPOs
Samsung wanted to rip people off with DEX as a new Ecosystem but didn't get Apple's memo. They would have made the DEX function proprietary and don't let it work with any other adapter
Now i know i did not waste 50$ to buy a wireless charger, this port and a usb hub to make a pc setup out of my broken phone! (I just need to connect it to the TV when i buy a HDMI cable tommorow)

hello! thank you for the tutorial, it was very helpful but I am running into one problem.. unfortunately the screen was locked when it broke and I can't retreive any data without unlocking it first, I tried hooking it up to both a TV and a samsung monitor but it just shows the device as locked, not even the lockscreen itself. If you know of any solution I would be extremely grateful! The device I'm trying to recover is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4
If you have the type of adapter I used in the video, Connect a USB keyboard if you used a PIN or Password. Press the escape button and the Prompt to enter Password will appear. If you used pattern, then connect USB mouse 🖱 instead of keyboard
@@SmartDepot thank you! you're a life saver!
Good to hear that we can now save lives..😂 😂 Do like, share and subscribe if you haven't already
@@SmartDepot Can I use a USB c to hdmi cable or do I need the adapter cable that you used?
The adapter comes in handy if you want to use Mouse 🖱 or keyboard alongside the HDMI display
I have the hub and have it plugged into my.phone, with the mouse plugged in as well, but how do i get my phone to the computer screen? What cord to i need
HDMI chord. The screen must also have HDMI input for that to work
Heey! When I connect my phone I get a lock with the time on it. Any idea how to get past that screen?
Could use a part number for what I need for my samsung S8 please. Thanks for the video!
I have Motorola g 7 power screen got broken will adapter method work for my device what i will do i will put my usb c of motorola into adapter and other end I will put HDMI cable into mac book i hope it will show display without showing configuration usb options
or will software method work for data transfer 100 % ? please reply i m too stressed for my mobile data
This method won't work on Moto G7 power because the device uses USB-C v2.0
@@SmartDepot then how can i do recovery method and display in monitor like you ? please say any proper method that i want to recover my sms from broken phone what i need put sim in old phone then do whatever method for display then i will backup my phone and download smart switch then transfer data
What's your device model and OS version?
Does this work with Huawei tablets? and, Is it necessary to have a program installed on the computer?
It depends on the tablet if it has display output function. I am sure of Huawei Flagships from mate 20 and newer
you never showed the how you connected all the necesary connectors into the adapter. Can you tell me what goes where?
Connect USB-C to HDMI output adapter (links in the description if you want to get the one I used.) connect the USB-C side to phone, connect HDMI side to a display and connect mouse 🖱 or keyboard to the USB A input of the adapter
Cont. to what I asked earlier today. I now got the muti port but even though they're all connected, the phone screen is still not being shown to the monitor. What do I do?
What device model and OS version are you on?
@@SmartDepot Oppo A96. Not sure on what version of OS but it was kernel
@@EkzamRA won't work on that device as it doesn't support USB-C display port output function
@@SmartDepot What can I do?
@@SmartDepot What can I do?
Works with Redmi 9 or with Samsung A40? Thank you so much
Won't work for the devices mentioned
@@SmartDepot thanks
Need some help here. I have the same adapter I connect all the cables but my phone screen does not show on my monitor or my tv I just get an "out of range" message or "no signal" message. My phone is black screened and I really need to transfer my files. I have a Huawei p20 pro
I think it could be an adapter issue because there are some adapters made specifically for Huawei. See links in the video description
Good explanation. I understand everything. But may I ask something? if I don't have extra monitor and only laptop, if I connected my phone to laptop using HDMI, how to transfer the files from phone into the laptop if the screen occupied by the phone screen?
Good question if i get you correctly, if you can open the screen and click on it or enter commands with keyboard, thrn you can dend the files to the cloud or transfer with xender or other file transfer apps
Can i still try this method if my phone was restarted? I can't see anything on my screen, it just turned green out of nowhere, just by turning on my phone after i charged it and then this happened. By the way my phone is a s20 plus. Also is it possible to backup my phone this way?
One of the comments said this won't work for any of the Samsung A series. I have a samsung A72 and the ink has spread throughout the screen. I just need to be able to view the screen to finish transferring data to my new phone so don't want to replace the screen. Do you have any suggestions?
This method won't work on Any Samsung A series. You need to try and see If you can turn on USB debugging mode and use applications like Vysor or Scrcpy to project your screen to a computer or laptop. You can also set your Default USB Configuration to file transfer in Developer option and once you connect your phone and unlock with fingerprint, you will be able to copy files 📂 from the device to PC or Mac
@SmartDepot thank you
It is not working neither on smart tv nor on normal tv and pc: the hdmi connection is not detected. I don't have usb debugging activated and the hub is fresh new. Is there anything I can do?
and my phone is a Wiko Power U30 (I specify that 'cause I saw most of the methods only work for samsung)
This method works for other Android devices that used a) USB-C v3.1 or more b) USB port display mode (ALT mode) is activated by the OEM.
Sorry, I don't understand: why do I need the adapter? Can't I just connect my phone directly to the hub?
What about connecting to a Touchscreen TV/Monitor? Will the Screen Touchscreen work to control the phone, or just work as a normal display as in this video?
Touchscreen display might work but I don't have touchscreen display and I didn't test it out myself
Is there any way to do it with usb c - usb c cable? Cause i dont want to buy the thing where hdmi - usb c cause my mom will think ita stupid while i know it will work
USB-C to USB-C will work only on devices with USB-C v3.2 and newer and it does require special displays and monitors that have USB-C display function
@SmartDepot for example my laptop is the hp elitebook 840 g5 do u think it will work?
Kindly help in getting the phone to be unlocked. Samsung S10. It shows up on the monitor after using the USB-C to HDMI adapter but not able to unlock. I have fingerprint lock and pattern as backup. Kindly help.
Hello, i know this method dose not work for realme phones, however is there any way or another method i can use to view and operated my realme 6 with a broken screen and usb debugging not enabled, or another way to atleast access my files within the phone. Your help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
If USB debugging was turned on before the screen was broken and you selected the option to always trust this computer then you can use apps like Vysor and others to view your phone on the computer that was trusted by the phone, else, only option is to replace the screen
I have a Samsung Galaxy A70 phone that fell and has a black screen. The phone is still working as I can hear my alarms and my text messages which is still coming through. I purchased the Usb-C to HDMI cable and connected it to my Tv. My Tv states no signal. I tested my hdmi cable to see if it works. I connected my laptop to the Tv (using the hdmi to hdmi cable) and the laptop screen displayed. Any suggestions to how to get my phone screen to display would be very much appreciate please.
Unfortunately, Samsung A series doesn't support USB-C display port output. Only Note and S series supports it starting from S8 series and newer
@@SmartDepot Okay, is there any other options for me to try? For example OTG connector?
Hi SMART DEPOT, please help me how can I transfer my apps and everything from the broken screen to a new phone
First, I'll need to know your device make and model
For me The keyboard Works because The screen flashes when i press The Arrow keys but my monitor IS not getting any signal. I have a Huawei P30 lite and The same adapter you used in this video
Check the description you may have to get Adapter specifically for Huawei. I don't know if P30 lite supposed HDMI video out though. Flagship P20 and above supports it
@@SmartDepotyeah i dont think my phone supports hdmi but i enabled talkback with vol up + vol down then i plugged in the keyboard so i can unlock the phone and then i unplugged the keyboard and plugged in a charger that was connected to my pc after that i selected file transfer on the phone with the help of talkback
True lifesaver, I have not tried it yet, will be back later today once I have found the adapter. Thank you sososo much (best tutorial out there, truly), quick qeustion as I have seen others ask; Does anyone know if this would work with a Galaxy A50?
I don't have a monitor, Would this work with a mac book air?
With a video capture card and a software like OBS - YES
Does it works with honor 7x ?
Micro usb
Is there a way to unlock the phone or access the photos. My phone works even the alarm goes off every morning but the screen is black
Hi, does this adapter works on samsung galaxy A32 4g
Unfortunately, no it doesn't. Only Series and Note series starting from S8 and newer Samsung Flagship
I have a Samsung galaxy s20+, screen is completely black. Hook up to a computer screen using adapter and all I see is the time and a lock symbol moving around. Please Help!!!!
You can get the adapter in the video description that has an option for HDMI and USB And C options. Plug in a HDMI display and plug in a keyboard simultaneously. Try touching either the Esc, space or enter button to call up the password/PIN input screen. If any of that did not bring it up, try Ctrl+Esc or Ctrl+Alt+Del
Hi, so I bought the products needed. It wasn't until after hours of attempting this and getting no result, I looked up and found out that Samsung Galaxy A13 does not mirror. Do you have any solutions for Samsung Galaxy A13 with a completely broken screen? Thank you so much.
So sorry about the stress you had to go through. If you didn't turn on USB debugging be for your A13 screen was broken, the only option you have now is to fix the screen
@@SmartDepot oh man. Oh well. Thank you so much for getting back to me.
When I plug in my broken Huawei P30 to the TV/Monitor there is no image output, the "NO INPUT SIGNAL" message goes off but the screen stays black. Tried HDMI and DP to different monitors, same result. Do you have any clue how can I fix this?
I have the same issue, did you resolve yours?
Bro, mine has a broken screen and after flashing, maybe it hasn't gone to the home screen, can it connect to the Samsung Dex or not?
My Galaxy A05s doesn't support HDMI output, is there a way you can help
The only option left is screen replacement if you had not set up USB debugging mode on prior to screen issue
so what are you connecting? the mouse/keyboard and monitor?
Tried connecting my screen directly to my phone (via hdmi-usbC), and nothing shows on the pc screen. The phone is working, my alarms go off in the morning, but nothing on the screen. Do you know why?
It depends on thr device model - USB-C display port output works only on select Android Flagships from 2018 up. It's an important feature that all Android phones should have
I am having this exact same problem and situation, with my Samsung Galaxy A51. I bought USB C to HDMI adapter, and hdmi cable to my TV. It didn't show anything. I also did the same to my laptop, it still didn't show anything
Does this tool have any other purpose which would justify the purchase even if this doesnt work on my LeTV phone?
Sure, works with laptops that have USB-C ports and can be used for external display
Hi , my phones on pattern mode but screen is locked and cant get to the pattern input screen , any advice please ?
What's your device model? You can connect mouse 🖱 and drag your pattern
@SmartDepot its an s22 + i think. I did see so.eone say try a smart tv rather than a monitor. Will try this later as only tried in my led monitor
The adapter I used (links in the video description) can let you connect a USB mouse 🖱 and HDMI display
@SmartDepot yeah , i have the usbc to hdmi adapter , its just the unlock pattern dont come up on monitor screen . Just a grey screen with lock symbol so i cant unlock the pattern with mouse. I tried it with my s23 that works and the unlock screen was visible on device but. Ot on monitor, so leads me to believe that the monitor was recognised as an extended display rather than a duplicated one
Hello! I had pattern blocking the A70
And which adapter do I need to use?
Please answer when possible! Thank you
Edit: I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but I didn't make the last update on the A70
Unfortunately, A70 cannot work with this method. If you didn't setup ADB debugging on before the screen died then the only option will be to replace the screen
@@SmartDepot okay then, thank you
