I can't wait to go there in a few months! I keep hearing about how the old-school hawker culture is quickly fading with so many elder hawkers hanging it up for good, so I want to experience that treasure while it is still around. As always, thanks for another awesome video!
Yellow Productions are the best! So informative and narrated, partially improvised so expertly with just the right blend of seriousness and light heartedness.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the tour. It might not be the prettiest place, but it sure does have some great food options. Chicken and Rice for me please. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Visiting Singapore for my Southeast Asia trip after Thailand in a week! Excited to try thr food in both countries. Hope you had a Happy Holidays Chris! 😃
There is another hawker centre in Chinatown (Chinatown Complex 2nd floor beside Buddha Tooth Relic Temple) which is the BIGGEST hawker centre in Singapore with around 260 stalls. You might want to checkout there.
I just got back. Ate at Maxwell three times. Tian tian has the best chicken rice. Tried another vendor there, it was not as good. Most other stalls the food is okay. Prices are good.
Chris, I'll be in Singapore next month but I'll be limited to the Changi area as I am just using this as a stopover to meet my Singaporean friends for the first time in 3 years. Any suggestions around the airport as a place to have breakfast?
Just had this famous chicken rice at the recommended locale and it was NOTHING SPECIAL at all! Tastes are different I guess...it was not worth standing in line for 25 minutes. It's a great video none the less! Had a wonderful soursop juice there!

That hawker center looks really neat. I like all the different varieties of dishes you can get there including the Hainanese chicken rice.

Head to Changi Village Hawker Center. It's only a 5-min taxi ride from the airport.
@@peters7229 , thanks for the suggestion. I love hawker center food.
Hi Chris, I wonder what dimension each store is. Looks like 2.5m by 2m.
Yeah. Pretty tiny
Hai nice to meet you
Nice to meet you too :)
Do they accept cards as payment?
Only some. Many stalls are cash only
That's the Fish Village stall at 1:53 that called the police on a tourist for taking a pair of disposable chopstick?
Seriously? That's crazy
What do u use for cashless transaction there?
Visa worked well
@@YellowProductions oh. Ok. Thanks
