Glad they’re helping. I’ll have more coming in the near future. In the process of moving, so stuff is a little crazy. Can’t wait to get back to the cnc and other projects though.
@@ChrisPowellFSD I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to add "texture" inside a circle. The one Carveco has done regarding inserting texture isn't very clear. I hope your move goes well. Happy Holidays! :)
I am in the middle of deciding which CNC to buy, and saving up to buy it. Having said that, I am also watching as much as I can about how CNC's work, and which software does what. I think this piece of software is going to be a very beneficial tool in my tool box.
@@ChrisPowellFSD There are two machines that I am interested in, the first being a OpenBuilds Workbee 1510 (60" x 40"), and the other is a CNC4newbies 4545, and TBH, I am leaning towards the OpenBuilds Workbee, because it seems to be more structurally stable, as well as expandable. The hardest part of my decision making debacle, is trying to pull together the $$$$ to make whichever purchase. I think that either machine will cost roughly $3000 USD's plus shipping.
Those sound like a couple of good options. I’ve been looking at some machines from cnc4newbie. I was really impressed with the z slider I got from them. I’ll have to look into open builds more. I hear good stuff about them.
This looks really easy and exactly what I’ve looked for, but I’m just discovering it 4 years later. Lol. Carveco is rather expensive for just this use, have you found an other solutions since you made this video? Thank you, great stuff!
Very useful video and very helpful. One question, how can I ensure the result does not have any loops or overlapping points that will prevent me from making a toolpath?
You would have to use the node editing function. Zoom in on the vector with the loop or overlap and cutout or edit and then rejoin ending vectors to close the vector.
Thanks for the video was helpful... im having issues with pixelated edges not being smooth is there a way to fix that? or that jsut a crappy file issue?
Good one Chris. Not too sure if you recall awhile back I asked for help with a navy emblem I was having problems converting it too work with CC. I was wondering if this is the solution for that? By the way, thanks again for all of the files you sent it was quite a bit. I owe you one for the help. Thinking towards Carveco Maker but was wondering if I need a internet connection all the time or can it be used off line? Thanks.
This definitely makes converting images a lot easier. You download the whole program to your computer. So you can use it without an internet connection.
how do you load something to thumb drive and then to machine? I just got my foreman set up( first cnc) and did elite test cut but cannot figure out how to add something else. Any help, please.
I just use the onefinity.local drive. You just log into that on your computer and turn your onefinity on. Then when you open a file on your computer, it will also open on your onefinity.
You should just be able to select the vector and there should be a resize button. I’ll have to take a look to see exactly what it is when I get to my computer
You can do the same thing as in this video, but the images usually end up having a lot going on. Best is to manually trace the parts you want. You could also use another program to simplify the image first, or just bring it in and do a 3d carve. Carveco will interpret the light and dark colors as highs and lows.
I’ve been trying to use it more and more. I have so many files already made in CC, that are pretty easy to just jump back to, but eventually I’d like to start doing everything with Maker. I’m just running out of new stuff I can do with CC.
Chris Powell thanks, I looked at your video with the wavy flag on illustrator and got confuse of how to do more 3D reliefs. Will you be making anymore demo’s so newbie like myself can learn.
For a beginner, this is the ABSOLUTE WORST software to begin on. Not intuitive AT ALL. I've been beating my brains out for a couple weeks. Extremely discouraging.
Man where was this video three weeks ago and would have saved me $$$. thanks for sharing.
I think I was just getting into the program myself about 3 weeks ago.
That was clear, concise, and informative. Thanks!!
That program does a nice job of making svg files. This is a handy video to hold on to.
Fantastic tutorial. Just used this to import an Etsy purchased image. Didn't know where to begin, but within 5 mins I'm up and milling 😉. Thanks Chris
Awesome!
Another easy to follow video! Thanks for making this! Please keep making Carveco videos. I'm learning and your stuff is very helpful!!!!

I’m really liking it. There’s a lot to learn, but it just has so much to offer. What machines are you looking at?

Holly Cow Chris!!! That is super cool Awesome Job!!
Great video as always!!!
One of your videos is better than all my Maker and Maker Plus speals combined!!!
I wouldn’t even be using this if you hadn’t introduced me.

Looks like some good software. Thanks for showing it!
It’s got a lot of helpful features. I’m still learning, but I’ve been able to do a lot with it.
Exactly what I was looking for! Hooyah!
Thanks sharing Chris!
Thanks for watching Larry
Great video! Right to the point and very helpful! thank You
Awesome, Chris!
Fantastic Video. Thanks. It solved my issue. Gilles

Most likely. If it’s too rough, you might just have to manually draw the parts.
Thanks great tutorial 👍🏻
Thanks!
really helpful brother

@@ChrisPowellFSD I’ll try that, thank you
@@ChrisPowellFSD lol I meant to say I have tried to do that but I’ll try again
@@ChrisPowellFSD I figured it out. Had to click the transform button. Thanks again
WOULD THIS SAVE AS DXF?
Any way to create vectors from a black and white photo?

Great video Chris, so the question of the day do you see yourself switching from Carbide Create to Carveco Maker anytime soon?

Inkscape is also a good program. SUPER easy to use
Inkscape always felt clunky to me. I could never get the hang of it.
Will this work on a mac
I’m using a Mac. I use boot camp to run Windows.
Chris great video, can I also use this program to make 3D depth maps for 3D relief cuts?
I believe you can use depth maps. You can definitely use stl’s. They also have a pretty big relief library that comes with the software for free.
Chris Powell thanks, I looked at your video with the wavy flag on illustrator and got confuse of how to do more 3D reliefs. Will you be making anymore demo’s so newbie like myself can learn.
That was in Carbide Create. I’ll be doing more videos on that software too.
Thanks I found the answer No
