Zuko visiting the spirit world, when you see him walking in the forest it's basically playing off of his emotions. But when he sees his uncle he begins to cry and everything turns to light because he is happy to see him. Then it transitions to the memories that they have been through together.

Uncle iroh
Zuko's story arc of his growth and development from angry, evil conqueror-wannabe to compassionate teacher and friend is the greatest coming of age story arc in all entertainment. The writers and producers took their time, and we saw him develop during almost real time, almost the time it would actually take for someone like Zuko to go from monster to hero. This show, IMO, is the definitive example of truly great storytelling. And of course, Iroh played a large part if it. Zuko was the son Iroh was robbed of raising, and Iroh was the father Zuko needed.

I think its also amazing that in the beginning he actually showed signs of change but instead betrayed his uncle to side with Azula and then realised that redemption was ultimately not what he was seeking.
That was really relatable as at times in real life when you try to improve as a person the path is not always a straight road and I really loved that about his character.
It was so organic, because it was paced so slowly over the entirety of the show basically, we all always believed Zuko had good in him, ever since we saw him try to save those men during a storm when he was in the North Pole at the start of the show, but as we learn the circumstances and we see him try to find his own answers we understand that, in the end, he’s just lost and he feels alone. That’s why we all got worried when Zuko left Iroh and went off on his own, because we all knew that, with time, Iroh would be able to nurture the good out of Zuko.

Yeah she was so casual about it, like, it didn't cross her mind what a big deal that would be. She just dropped that bomb in passing. He had to ask her lol. Jesus. Not like Iroh spared how much he loved Zuko too. Korra has empathy but it sure seems to go on standby a bit a the strangest moments. She doesn't even realize when it happens so it must be some physical/chemical thing. She is pretty aggressive and impulsive for a reason I guess. Part of why she's the hardest avatar yet.

@@darklion53 IIRC the voice actor for Iroh had passed away by the time the last episode came, preventing this [much better] ending. Could be wrong though, you can look it up.

I hate LOK, not because of the sequel itself, but because i think that ATLA had a perfect ending and seeing what came afther kinda breaks that ending (it's just like Star Wars sequels, but LOK is more respectful at least)

This almost made us all cry, Zuko turning into an old man inheriting some personality of Uncle Iroh and finally meeting him again after Iroh left his body at the mortal world. Iroh was the best character in terms of helping and personality. I could barely hold my tears when Zuko finally met Iroh again after like 10-30 years. " I am very proud of you my nephew"

Iroh and Zuko have a special place in my heart. I especially love the end with the Jasmin tea over Pai Sho.
Zuko and Uncle Iroh’s relationship was probably the most beautiful connection out of all the characters. Out of the whole show, I cried the hardest when Iroh took Zuko back in his arms. “I was never angry with you, I was sad because I thought you lost your way.”

When I saw that episode about Iroh's son, I cried a shit ton of tears and loved how Iroh filled the father gap in Zuko's life and later on Zuko filled the son's gap.

This is coming from someone who doesn't cry very much, but holy crap I loved this video. Hands down, the most well-done part of the franchise has to be Zuko and Iroh's relationship. Heck, even the comments on this video are warming my heart. This has to be one of the sweetest videos of all time. Iroh is who I aspire to be as a person and as a man. Also, to Robert Jackson, the person whose comment is somewhere near mine, that sounds like something Iroh himself would say. Semper fi et semper invictus (always faithful and forever undefeated). Just like Iroh.

I go from watching the hug scene at the end of ATLA to the scene in TLOK where she meets Iroh, then talks to Zuko - and it's just such a quick back and forth but his face when she says she met Iroh... it's really heartbreaking for me and then this edit is so good. Uncle Iroh is such an amazing guy, one of my favourite characters in Avatar. Made me tear up when he was singing to his Son for his birthday and started crying.
Just imagine how much powerful this could be if this was actually incorporated into the show.

Thnaks ^u^, my uncle was the best, I have to say, he was like an Iroh in real life, so Iroh reminds me of him ^_^, but, he unfortunately died of lung cancer in 2019 :'(, I miss him so bad, he was the best uncle someone could ever want, he was kind, funny and caring, I have very good memories of him, so when I remeber him, I remember the good times I spent with him. ON GOD, THIS is how Legend of Korra should’ve ended....not with that lame ass excuse of “vacation” so they could have a lesbian protagonist....the whole series was about what the last series left behind and continuing the legacy....why not combine both worlds as the finisher😭🙏🏼 this would’ve been so awesome....picture this rn in your head...instead of Korra and Asami it’s Zuko by himself (had little to do with the story...already bad enough...) entering the same(new) spirit portal that Korra and Asami did...and then seeing and embracing Iroh....now THAT would’ve been a much better representation and ending of AVATAR

@@justsomeguywithaplan971 But Zuko probably not going to the spirit world after his death. Spirt world isn't like "heaven" in our religions. If Zuko could enter spirit world he would did it a long time ago and meet his uncle. Spirit portal is the only way for Zuko to meet uncle again.

That song was how I found out the voice actor "Mako" died...I'd been a fan of his since "Conan the Barbarian "with Arnold...his version of Splinter I think is the best, but Iroh is who he will be forever remembered for...and we're lucky the was another voice actor who liked his style enough to make a career out of copying it

Lost my "Uncle Iroh" last year due to heart attack. He always there for me, taking care of me when I was a child while my parents busy working, gave me clothes, fed me. Even when I'm growing adult, he's still besides me. But last year, it all happened so fast. I was so shocked to hear the news, seeing his lifeless body on the ambulance's stretcher, even at the funeral I'm still shocked because I can't believe that the man who's been taking care of me since I was a child now gone and never gonna come back.

I always thought they’re relationship was the coolest in the series they both needed each other. Iroh lost his son and needed someone to teach and pass his wisdom onto so they don’t go down the same path he went down, while Zuko needed a father figure in his life he could actually look up to. They were perfect for each otherwise

I never had a good uncle in my life, an uncle who actually cared for me. Every uncle that I had was selfish and egoistic. They cared about their own family which is obvious of course but he never loved his own brother's (my father's) kids. But this year I became myself an uncle, and I promised to myself that I'm gonna be a great uncle, I'm gonna become someone who I wanted to have as a child but never had. Me and my siblings were raise by our uncle. He love and take care of us like his own. When my parents separated. My world just shatered into pieces. But he bring it all back that into whole again. We promise to take care of him until our last breath. Uncle iroh, reminds me of him. I have to come home no matter what because I have an uncle waiting for me.
