WOW...SEE ,LOTTA GOOD STUFF COMES FROM TEXAS. I love rock n' roll BUT MY DIBOLL, TX. COUNTRY BOY ROOTS RUN DEEP. LOVE THESE GUYS. AWESOME MUSICIANS THANKS FOR THE MUSIC BOYS..!!!! 🤠👍
Rodney Foster is a great great songwriter also other than a singer. Went for a ride is an incredible song. Is also unbelievable. The man he's singing about should be a national hero. The man who singing about was a slave. When he was freed he went out west and became a Buffalo soldier. He fought Indians and learned how to shoot and ride with incredible skill. He became a trick shooter was a trick rider. He was in the Buffalo Bill wild West show until it's with closed. He was a featured attraction. He can do tricks shooting and trick riding and with amazing things. When the show finally closed and didn't make any money that American legend how to humble himself and become a porter for the railroad carrying white men's luggage. What's today is so tragic you're such an amazing person and should have been known all over the country. I think they should make a movie about that guy. I think he was called tricky dick was his stage name. Rodney Foster put it into words like no one else and in the song is haunting. I'm not both of them in Pittsburgh in the 1990s when I was musician qnd performer. I was there the night when they lost their record deal I couldn't believe it. I talked to both of them but I was talking to Lloyd for a while. I just didn't know why they would drop these guys when they were fantastic. They have a song that's called "when the heartache rolls in" I just love it I've never heard anything like it. It's such an amazing song and it was getting airplane that it never went as far as it should have. Rodney Foster should be a huge Megastar.

These guys were the Beatles of Country Music.
Foster and Lloyd appeared on Austin City Limits during Season 16 (1991). They first appeared on the show in Season 13 (1988).
On one of those shows they did a led zeppelin cover to this day , nobody has done it the way they did anybody know how I might find that
Hey AManOfManyFaces, do you have Pt 3 of Shake Russell Band on Austin City Limits in 1980?
