I guess I wasn’t clear guys. I am aware that Ostriches don’t stick their heads in the ground to hide. They simply have nests that they dig and occasionally stick their heads into. I turned the myth INTO a Pokemon.

The friend safari theme is such a nice touch
I had this idea, it was a regional bird. And was based off of a flamingo, its first stage gets easily shocked physically and emotionally, it's normal flying. The second stage is starting to master its power but doesn't have complete control over it. The last stage has mastered its power, it's uses it's long neck as a lightning rod and it's legs transfer it to the ground, for that reason people place it around there house to protect the owners. It also serves as home decor
I really enjoyed these designs, although I feel Strutridge would've been better suited to be a Ground / Fighting type. But that's just my opinion.

overall this one has the most solid creations, not to say my favorites, but pokemon that i would remember been already in, but just one note, the cappibara one i feel should have the big round beady eyes to be a pika clone

All 3 look AMAZING, and the lighting pattern on Denkibara fits really well.
I would love to see a Pokémon based off the Seth animal, a mythical creature from Egypt.
This series actually inspired me to come up with my own region. It's based on northern africa, and has legendary and mythical pokemon based on the Korean legend of a dragon and fairy who fall in love and have many hatchlings.

That's really neat. I have also decided to do a region based on a mix of Latin American countries. The mainland will consist of parts of Mexico and Argentina. Islands, such as the Galápagos and Aruba, will be included.

The only change I would make is giving Strutridge the dual Ground/Grass typing for 2 reasons: 1) it would make sense with the feathers meant to look like plants and the fact that ostriches are herbivores, and 2) Ground/Grass is a very strong, yet rare type.
Fun fact! Ostriches don't actually stick their heads in the ground. That's actually a common misconception, since ostriches lack actual camouflage, they are just really good at running.
Yeah, that myth is dumb and illogical, an ostrich with its head under the sand wouldn't even be able to breathe. XD

yea we know ostriches dont bury their head into the ground but, according to wikipedia, they _do_ lay completely flat on the ground to disguise themselves as mounds of dirt, which these pokemon could go with pretty well!!

1:36 we had a seasonal campground that had peacocks. they would usually run away but one day one let me pet it, the last time we went there we even saw an albino peacock. i live in southern Saskatchewan so this was quite unique and quite the experience.
Random idea: A spy Pokémon based off the mimic octopus.

Denkibara is just a magical version of my mighty guinea pig, and I love it.
five new pokemon suggestions:
1. nile crocodiles that have an ability that makes do normal damage against water pokemon instead of weaker damage, but in return makes them weak to ground
2. new hippo, but water type instead of ground.
3. a dying plant in desert (ghost/grass type?)
4. a rhino pokemon that actually looks like a rhino (i'm talking about you, Ryhorn!)
5. spinosaurus fossil pokemon because they are awesome

I think the regular colors for the ostrich pokemon look better at 5:14, between the transition of the shiny and regular. The terracotta color looks really cool as a ground pokemon

This is a really great idea for designing Pokémon! I’m designing my own region too, (I’ve commented that before) I can’t really go to Ancient Greece, but I know the mythology, I can watch videos of people going through Ancient Greek monuments or museums with Pithoi in them, or maybe a pythos Pokémon that could be interesting. Just saying I love your ideas. This series, Team Ozone was cool, and all of your Pokémon etymology facts are all amazing!

I really like denkibara. It's a regional pikachu clone, but it still feels unique. I like thundoryx, too. It actually looks like something I would consider using.
On a side note, my two brothers went to the Staten Island Zoo this past Friday with my dad, one of which really likes ostriches.
Voltelope and Thundoryx are AWESOME! Probably one of my top favorites in this series! And their shiny forms are EPIC (especially cause blue is my favorite color)!!! I wish these were real Pokémon that would be in games! 🤩🤩🤩
I was actually a little disappointed when you skipped the fennec foxes, since they're so similar to bat-eared foxes, which would make a really good base for a Pokemon in your region
@Diego Juarez While we do, i think the designs can differ a lot between Fennekin and the Fennec Fox Ron potentially makes, especially since Fennekin is a starter.
A suggestion could be that not every animal you decide to use has to be from the Arabian area, it could be any animal with Arabian themes incorporated into it.

As always, I absolutely love all of these Pokémon designs. Pretty much all of them look like Pokémon I would love to have on my team if they ever appeared in a real game. I'm definitely looking forward to more videos in this series. Keep up the fantastic work.
I also wanted to add a fun fact about ostriches that creates an interesting bridge between real ostriches and Sturtridge. The genus name of all ostriches, both modern and extinct, is Struthio, which could serve as an additional origin for the "Strut" part of Strutridge's name.
I guess I forgot to mention it but the name did come from the genus, Struthio. (I usually look at the scientific names of animals to get inspiration for the Pokemon names.)
