I agree I've started going back and redoing my fakemon from over 10 years cus I sorta started making them when I was 5 so a lot of Pokemon needed redos
Ron has become so incredibly good at designing Pokémon. He was always good conceptually I think, but his art style and just technical skill have both massively improved.
That’s such a throwback. The creating Pokémon from walks videos were literally what got me into the franchise. If I hadn’t been bored one night scrolling through RUclips, one of the biggest aspects of how I spend my free time would be completely missing. It’s crazy to me that was so long ago, too.
So cool to see this become a series. It's awesome to see how far you've come as a fakemon creator, and getting to hear what you've learned as you've grown as an artist. Very inspiring!

Eleafant was adorable the second the sketching started and Dolflow looks really official! Absolutely love these new Fakemon and love seeing your improvement!
I love it how Dolflows arms/fins changed and now they look as if they were literal legs to walk on land, as it is a semi-water Pokémon, as all the water starters.
I thought I loved the old Dolflow but the new one is somehow even cuter even though it barely changed it is really cool to see how small changes can make such a big difference.

Surprisingly I think the knees are actually one of the most defining parts of an elephant, up there with the trunk and ears, I feel like your original design did need re doing but I think it would have been great if you somehow made a way for it to work whislt retaining those knees
Oh my gosh, the improvement. Collectic is so fluffy and I love its shiny I adore Invulover's energy. Smokalf the baby has been updated! He is so shaped! Eleafant gives plushie vibes. Marketable baby guy Dolflow! I love how the slightest changes can have the biggest effect. Amazing
It's nice to see a model on how to review past work in a healthy, constructive way. I think a lot of creatives (e.g., writers, artists, etc.) can easily fall into a trap of being frustrated or embarassed by our former works. Instead, you reflect on your past designs with curiousity! Love this!!
The thing about old design is that you appreciate the work you did put into you art, then you redesigned you are proud of how far you've come 😊 Your Fakemons are my favourite series because I am always in awe with the design and inspiration! RON, YOU KEEP IT UP LAD! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Invulover’s color scheme is amazing, really makes it pop compared to the original, and the rest of the regional birds. Might even be better than my favorite talonflame? 🤔 👍🏻

Yay! A redesign sequel! (No Leaflat to go with Leaflutter, but hey there's always next time.) I have heard you stay your starter proportions are off a few times, so I expected those tweaks. The Poilover line though? That was a fun surprise! Awesome job!
Invulover should change it's Normal typing to a type depending on the berry it ate when it evolved. Aspear- Ice Cheri- Electric Chesto- Psychic Pecha- Poison Rawst- Fire There's also the berries that reduce damage if the holder is hit by a certain Type of attack as well that this could work with as well. If it doesn't have one of these berries when it reaches it's evolution level then it'll have the Normal typing.
The only issue I have with Invulover is that if it somehow became really good in competitive and you have your Invulover friend that you’ve owned for years but it’s immune to the wrong condition so that it isn’t good in competitive which means you have to get a new one and you can’t battle with your Invulover friend :( Maybe you can change the condition it’s immune to?
Collectic = Much better, the legs have a weird line that makes it look partly split in the middle that one stripe beneath the wing confuses me. Inulover = The wing marking could be tweaked, I almost want to make it a stripe that fallows the elbow curve, but its pretty solid as is. Overall I love them and how you have improved.
These are massive improvements Ron, you’ve most definitely honed your skills designing official looking Fakemon over the years. The starters look incredible (I especially love the new Eleafant, my favourite out of the three) I want them to be real yesterday, and Inluver is leagues better than it’s original design.
if it servers to consolate you, I never thought those where extremly good designs xD! One exercise I aways did watching was "did I like this idea? what could I do to make it better? what would he do better if he was making it now?" but for real now, I was maratoning your vids on backward back then when I met your channel (got to know you thro Subjectively and was adicted to fakemon design videos), and was noticable how the quality of both your designs and drawings gave a sudden jump and improved so much in a very short time somewhere in the middle of it. It is awsome to see how far you got with something you love doing

I love the Smokalf redesign! Oxinerate was always my favorite of your starter trio, but Smokalf always looked too much like a regular calf (in my opinion). All the changes made here help it look like a pokemon and awesome first partner
I know it would be a pain to do, and take a long time, but redesigning the Asone Pokédex with the knowledge you have gained about Fakemon would be cool to see. We could see how far you have come from when you started.

i actually significantly prefer the original eleafant personally, much more gen 1 in terms of design philosophy but i dig it, i will say tho, INSANE glow up on the regional bird
Your art never disappoints. But one thing I did notice is that whenever you make a Pokédex entry, it describes everything about the Pokémon, or at least a lot about it, but real Pokédex entry’s only describe one or two things about it, or reveal one thing or tell one story not all of that at once. Making your Pokédex entry’s shorter might make them seem more real. Other than that your art is amazing. Keep making art!

I love elefants design but my slight critique is choosing a pose that shows off the tail without the ears covering it as much because it would help with the silhouette better.
I think smokalf is now one of your best fakemon, not just in quality but also super convincingly like a real Pokémon. I'd want to start my journey with it for sure
I see that you’ve really improved your designs and art skills! I think the only suggestions I would give is to mess around with the eyes more, you pretty consistently use the same three eye types regardless of whether or not it fits the personality and i think that holds back some of your really good designs :(
While I agree, in THIS video specifically, I used 5 different eye designs. Black squinted semicircle (Collectic) , Teardrop with narrow pupil (Invulover) , Large black eyes with white pupil (Smokalf) , Generic modern Pokémon eyes (Eleafant) , Gen 1 generic cute oval eyes with hidden pupil. (Dolflow) Not to mention this video showcases unevolved starters and regional birds; Pokémon who don't usually contain super unique eyes. (It was a conscious decision this time around) But you're not wrong.
I’ve learned to no longer hate my old art but rather appreciate it because if I hadn’t made it then I wouldn’t have gotten to the place I am now. I no longer cringe when I see my old art, I get excited because of how much I’ve improved as an artist.
