In preparation for the first symphony concert of the season, chief conductor Teodor Currentzis opened his 'workshop' in the form of a public rehearsal at Stuttgart's Liederhalle. Live recording from 7.9.2021.
Chief Conductor Teodor Currentzis is particularly fond of the LABs, as they allow him to share his musical ideas and thoughts on selected works from the upcoming concert programs with an interested audience. The LABs take a variety of forms: sometimes they take the form of a kind of master class with young conductors or soloists, sometimes they are a dialogue with composers or music specialists, or Teodor Currentzis dives into the depths of a composition together with two pianists.
In the first Currentzis LAB of the 2021/2022 season, Teodor Currentzis invited the audience to an open orchestra rehearsal with the SWR Symphony Orchestra. Currentzis focused on the Adagio of Sergei Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony.

🌷🌷🌷🎼🎹🎶 (Holland)

Working as a stage manager at a big concert hall i remember the first time Theodor and his musiaeterna play on my stage. No seats was on stage for the musicians, except cellos and some more. I asked him why and he said has a better movement and you could hear this. It was a big symphony an hour long. Recently i enjoyed the 9th of Beethoven, again all stading. This could be the beginning of a new world. Think about....

Currentzis weiß was er will.
