- Something I get asked about a lot is what to wear on a weekend trip to London - so for today’s Closet Confessions, I’m playing tourist and imagining what I would pack if I were coming here from out of town. The one thing I’ll always pack for a long weekend is a co-ord - they’re great for space-saving, as they’re versatile and easy to mix and match across different days. When it comes to accessories, think about which colours will best match your colour palette, and which will be the easiest to fit in the bag - overly structured jewellery is not your friend here. It helps if you’ve got a bag full of handy compartments to help you stay organised. My top tip? If you’re anything like me, make sure you save space for anything you might want buy during your trip…

I could watch you try on clothes and jewellery all day long, Trinny. Reminds me of when I was young with friends and we'd try on outfits for hours before going out for the night, or on holidays with a group of girls. I think 🤔 all women love this and I miss the videos so much when you go on holidays. I’m a jewellery girl myself so for me whatever you choose, big or small, is always lovely for each outfit. I follow other fashion vloggers (over 50) that preach “fine jewellery ladies. Too much and too big is gaudy and makes you look old!” Thank God for Trinny.
Hopefully, this will be me in a year or so, popping up to London for the weekend from the Mediterranean. Those co-ords and silky fabrics make it so easy, as does the clever bag. I don't think I've ever packed just two pairs of shoes for even an overnight 😅, but I'm game to try!

I love Trinnys energy & the way she put outfits together. I used to watch the show a while ago, but I am now subscribed. I wish she could come to Australia & help me with fashion, make-up & hair (preferably without cameras). I'm hopeless when it comes to fashion because I'm older. Watching Trinny does get me a little more motivated to get out of my comfort zone.

Trinny is amazing. However very few have her body,hair,skin.Most of these outfits wont work for the average person. Maybe a version of these styles altered accordingly.
All said Trinny is an enigma.
I love the youthful element coming from the younger staff.Trinny is an advocate for supporting young people. That is her biggest attribute. Imo.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! For us mere mortals who don’t have the resources / assets which Trinny has, the weekend bag would look very different I feel 😂
I’m a plus sized gal with big boobs and I travelled for 5 weeks with only carryon. 2 faux jumpsuits made of silk (not as $$$ as Serena Bute) 1 dress, 2 extra silk tops, 2 tshirts, sneakers, ballerina shoes , 1 trench coat, scarf. Wore my warm heavy pants, long sleeve tee , scarf and trench on flight. Undies , bras and socks. Umbrella and raincoat. (Quite rainy on coronation day)
Yes very few women of her age look that youthful or have her figure and certainly not the £££££ to spend on the amazing clothes . But I love her creative mind .
@@ceejae2349 Clever packing capsule. Did you include a lot of colour - or more neutrals? Also, did you shop and add some new pieces across your five week trip? And, did you feel bored with the options after a few weeks?
Trinny have you considered using the long bow on the shirt to tie your hair? You just tie a knot in both at the back of the neck, then another one for space, then use the rest as a headband or low ponytail. Try it!
Come back Trinny, you forgot your hair brush, toothpaste, toothbrush! I guess the hotel will provide that? Oh and Swimming costume maybe? 😅

The alarm bells at the security will definitely go of if I would take the plane to London with all that jewelry 😂…once i got picked out and they searched my hand language, had to take my shoes of and all because of a Hypnotic Poison bulb from Dior ….probably thought it was a hand grenade 😂…Lookin fab! Your right, those brassy Zara bracelets do look more expensive than they actually are! I think its because they aren't a fake-looking bright yellow - & also because the shape makes them look more like stackable bangles than stretchy charm bracelets 😊

I’ve done weekend in the city with small back pack. Wore bigger dresses and cardigan on the plane and everything else in bag, I was so impressed with myself 😊 mind it was summer so it’s easier.

Hi Trinny. The pink dress is amazing. Perhaps a clutch bag for the evening instead of cross body especially with the gold necklace which is lovely.
Clutch bags seem to me to be the most ridiculous and impractical idea ever. Why would somebody want to have only one hand free all evening? I don't get it.
I agree or at least a shoulder bag. I wouldn't choose a bag with such a shoulder strap to go over the necklace, at least if it was black strap

Hello lovely! I see so many looks with jackets and long sleeves! Yes they are beautiful but I just couldn’t! I am so hot natured and just coming out of menopause which means I still get overheated and I can’t even look at long sleeves in warmer weather without having a flash! Lol. What fun! I went from Sydney to south of Hobart for 10 days to my brother's. I managed using Trinny's ideas of mix and match and more than one use! Of course it's winter here but I got it all in a carry on bag and a tote and 7kgs!!

I was just in London for 16 days and have returned home to Texas. Missing it already! I don’t think I could have worn any of those outfits to the Taste of London food festival or the outdoor flower shows or the train trip to Somerset, or the Borough Market day🥵
Maybe the outfits would have worked for the candlelight concert at St. Martin in the Fields, the indoor museum days and some of the shopping days. Loved my makeup and skincare appt at your studio on Burnsall 💛💛💛

I wouldn't have the jacket just on the shoulders in case it falls off. I would have the arms in the sleeves and not have it buttoned up.

Wondering about the weight of it & no wheels. However, wheels can be a prob struggling over bumpy paths/stairs etc. Slinging it over the shoulder is a solution & let’s you run for that train. Flat packer all the way, less ironing at the other end.

Never taking more than two pairs of shoes is key to minimal packing. The pair you’re wearing and one pair in your luggage. For some memorable trips I only took the pair I was wearing.
There only one thing to pack for london and that is alot of pennys 😂
