    Arcelik make these along with Beko, Blomberg, Grundig, Sia, etc.
    Vestel make Bush, Logik integrated, Sharp, etc

    Made In Turkey is typically the hallmark of Arçelik (Beko) or Vestel.

    That Lamona (Beko) was made in December 2022, very new! PCB failures are quite common on those washer dryers sadly so hopefully that isn't the case here!

    Really enjoyed this update and cheers for the mention! Regarding selling appliances, it seems hit and miss, sometimes they go quickly, other times nobody wants them. I guess it just depends on your area, shame really as it would be a huge waste to scrap perfectly working machines but at the same time what can you do with them?

    • @destructionfun2
      @destructionfun2 4 месяца назад +2

      Also depends on the brand, unfortunately even the less fortunate have gotten greedy nowadays and don't want budget or store branded stuff anymore. They'll only buy prosumer stuff. Matsui, Logik and others just don't sell fast, while Miele and other more expensive stuff you can never slow the demand down for.

    0:51 no, it is not a Vestel, it is a Beko. And even tho both Vestel and Beko are made in Turkey, they are completely different.

  • @balfie18
    @balfie18 4 месяца назад +2

    With the Beko machine you have, the door slightly off, swap the top screw with a nut and bolt and washer and it will hold perfectly, dome it many times, screw has become too loose in the cabinet.
    The heat pump, you said it will be on 5 mins and trips the electric? Could be one of 2 things, faulty main board, (they are a new board we have been using, nucleus, prog with a global service tool) or if it's 5 to 10 mins into the cycle it could be a compresser issue, in the case of a compresser issue or base unit, we don't fix them, they get scrapped for compressor failure. But they are the only 2 things. The BP motor can sometimes cause issues on them too, disconnect that and start it up and see if it still trips after the 5 mins, if it doesn't then it's the motor and an easy fix.

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  4 месяца назад

      Thanks Balfie, what does the BP stand for? Sump pump? if it is the first two things it does not bode well. but a tripping compressor might be repairable.

    • @balfie18

      @@bootsowen sorry mate that should have said BPM, auto correct, 😅 it's the main motor that turns the belt, I fairly highly doubt it will be that tbh, I'd more so be looking at the module first, can take it off and see if there is any slugs on it, chances are there is, that would be my first port of call on a heat pump that's tripping, can always so an insulation resistance test and disconnect things one by one, and test and test and test and it will lead u to the problem, on heat pumps should be around 150 to 190. Well using my meter anyways. Anything lower than that can disconnect components one by one and test, put back in after test if it's not that component.

    Lot's of interesting stuff has accumulated again! Iirc the 1600 Bosch had a knackered drumspider. Indesit dryer: Could be the compressor or its capacitor. Does this thing have a mains filter? Could also be an option. You can try disconnecting things like the motor, compressor, water pump and then start it to rule out what causes the rcd to trip.
    Selling used appliances is a gamble, it can be sold in a few days or it sits there for weeks with only the occasional "i TaKe It FoR fReE wItH dElIvErY" or something like this, lol😂
    Honestly surprising that the solar panel with the heavily smashed corner still works

    My favourite type of video you make, albeit limited by design to every quarter.
    I passed 6 steel bottles on my bike ride today, will only stop for ally.
    Those light units looks more involved than I imagined, and liion too!! The fluorescent looks to have more spread as one would expect but at what cost? Won't they be 30W a tube?
    I like the look of the mobike, seems to me it could do with a throttle electric power conversion.
    That scoop would do well for clearing out the water stop tap in the street. Mine is arms length deep and was full of silt last time I used it.
    Love the solar panels Boots! And by putting the broken ones at the front they have natural burglar deterrent!

    • @bootsowen
      @bootsowen  4 месяца назад

      Hi Ian, those steel bottles are everywhere at the moment, 1.5kg of steel and 18g of brass.
      The broken solar are at ground level, I've not heard of anyone stealing solar panels, though I'm sure everything gets stolen somewhere, so if anyone steals them good luck to them, and they won't damage them further, save piercing them, but I don't expect it.
      I'm keen to see inside the Mobike, I have to make a pentagon fastner tool to get the wheels and chaincase open. I am interested in whats inside the transmission.
      I don't recall what the tubes are wattage wise, I think they are only a bit higher, 30% or so than the LEDs, But they really aren't much good. Maybe in a corridor, but not for task lighting.

    • @ianhelsbyservices
      @ianhelsbyservices 4 месяца назад

      @@bootsowenPerhaps there's ypur answer, they use the emergency lighting for corridors in a commercial building to aid escape. I look forward to seeing what you can do with those batteries, at that voltage, they're ready to go for the soldering iron!
      I picked up a 7" long loop of 6mm steel rod off the side of the road this morning. Going to use it as a handle with half a steel no2 bottle for a heavy duty garden scoop.
