@@RWHobbies I have not really caught on on these newer Tamiyas yet.. Took a little break 4-5 years ago, barely building anything.. Need to catch up with the P-38, this, F-4 etc.. :) Otherwise my fav kit is the P-47(s) from Tamiya..
So I am not an expert on this but... the F-14A was around from late 70s to early 00s. It is all in age. The "late" were around before retirement and retrofitted with more modern avionics and cockpit and weapon systems. In terms of the kit, difference is probably just a different instrument panel, cockpit switches and more modern weapons and pods for the era.
@@RWHobbies Yes I watched that series, love the F-14, would love to get one or the AMK one which I've heard is on par with Tamiya. Hmmmm - what about a side by side review!!
From the archives... I compare it to the Tamiya at the end of the video. ruclips.net/video/ii_qfdztJmA/видео.html A couple of years on, my opinion may have changed. The Tamiya is one of the most enjoyable and well engineered kits I have made in my entire life.
I like it, must buy. The new Airfix Vulcan finally showed up in the US another must buy!
I looked at the Vulcan, but I am passing. It is too big and difficult to display for me and the surface detail looks adequate. Richie
Sweet!🤗
Thanks for watching. Richie
Still have not bought any of them.. Really need to fix that! Such a wonderful, cool aircraft! And the kit seems amazing.
They are a joy to build. And my favorite plastic model kit. Thanks for watching. Richie

Decals for the helmets! I just got the kit!
Yes ma'am. You are going to have a blast. Enjoy!
Maybe the decal for helmets is in the F-4.
There are definitely decals for helmets. I do not recall which sheet. I put it away in my stash already.

Awesome kit Richie - are you going to build it?
For sure, but I already built and did a build series on the channel for the other boxing of this same kit earlier this year.
