Andrew says “unless there is a video of him seeing somebody hurt”, there are videos of him staring at a lifeless body being carried as he sings “yeah” at him and kept playing. It’s out there. How is this not mentioned more across media? Additionally, the crowd is begging for it to stop and it was ignored. Everybody running the show is at fault
And even if he didn't know the person is ded so fucking what. You just gonna let kids pass out and not do shit about it?????? Just coz it's "normal". The kids who climbed up on stage to scream that people are dying when the music wasn't playing. Travis and his organisers both should be made liable and empty their pockets. The whole reason they continued playing was so they won't have to refund tickets. Karma

People pass out at concerts fair enough, 100's dont, and they definitely dont chant stop the show and rush the stage screaming there are dead people in the crowd as responders perform CPR on lifeless bodies, he asked people to crash his show nobody else did and as a result 8 people paid the Ultimate price, both he and the organizers need to pay the price

It’s fucking insulting that the entire focus of this podcast is on ‘ how to defend Travis ‘. It doesn’t matter if Travis didn’t ‘see’ people dying, he built this concert in a negligent way. The place was overbooked, the alignment of the stage was wrong, they hired security apparently 2 days before the show. Whether you want to admit it or not Andrew, Travis is responsible. I love Andrews takes most of the times, but sometimes it becomes really obvious that he lacks basic empathy.
Idk what’s more sad: this whole tragedy, or the fact that anyone on earth thinks Travis Scott is the best live performer or “musician” out there. Dude’s “performance” is a glorified karaoke session. One man running around screaming on stage with nothing but bass blasting is like the furthest thing from being the best live musical performance. 95% of the experience is a dj pressing play and the massive speakers and video boards doing most of the “performing.” Travis Scott is a glorified hype man. Not even close to being the best live musician, and it’s sad af that anyone believes otherwise. Y’all don’t know music if you think that’s true lmao. I get the whole thing of everyone getting hype/getting lit with a bunch of people, but in terms of music, that ain’t shit.

Maybe a better way of phrasing it is that Travis has one of the best live experiences in music. I agree, hip hop doesn’t really lend itself to great live performances, but some of the greatest live shows I’ve been to have been hip hop, and I’ve seen jazz, blues, rock, metal etc. The energy rappers put out behind their music is unparalleled compared to almost any other genre. The closest rock equivalent in my mind is when AC/DC had angus young fly over the crowd on a wire playing guitar.
@@ForMindlessConsumption I've been to all types of concerts as well, including really big rappers, and I really do like the genre. I think rap and most other genres out there have their distinct strengths. There is a time and place for every type of music out there. Like I said, I get why people like the hype environment of a loud ass rap show. I mean, you're usually drunk with some friends and everyone is just vibing together, so it's definitely a fun experience to have for sure. I just feel like it really doesn't qualify as a musical concert to me, just considering how most of the "performance" is just the sound system and special effects/video boards, not the musician on stage. I guess I agree with you that it isn't so much a concert as it is a big party experience. There is absolutely a time and place where rap just hits that spot in a situation better than another genre might be able to, and I will grant that. As a musician myself, my appreciation for live music lies in the hands of the musicians on stage literally creating magic from thin air and using their instruments to conjure up moods that they themselves are producing on the spot. That idea is so far from a rap show where it's basically just a beat backing track with one dude halfway rapping the lyrics to a song. It's a night and day difference between that and an _actually_ great live band like the Grateful Dead, for instance. For the Dead, every single show was totally reliant on how good the musicians played; there is no backing track or safety net where they can just halfass a song and get by. What saddens me is that so many people have never even stepped into that realm of live musicians actually playing live instruments and creating every sound themselves.
@@STSGuitar16 I honestly think that's exactly what hip hop is missing these days. It used to be more of a live concert experience, back when bands like the Roots were at the height of their popularity. There is still some live performance aspect with some artists like Kanye, who will actually perform all the instruments separately as opposed to just spitting the recording back out, but he's an anomaly in that regard, especially considering he started his career back when playing rap shows with a band was a standard.
Insane how we just mock this when there is so much evidence in our faces. We should at least have a real discussion around it. The evidence merits discussion at the VERY least.
Speaking of rituals and evil... no one mentioned that the stage was in the shape of an upside down crucifix! I found that out from one single article that had a drone photo from the days after the show. Creepy. You guys were onto something there. Good job!

It was in Oakland a few years ago and it was written taking up the entire space of a billboard on top of a 20 story building at 20th and Grand Ave (a block away from the Greyhound bus station). It said, "DEMONS FEAR ME!" So, one night when I was homeless I got seperated from my tentmate and I had to walk all night from Berkeley to Lake Merritt (about a 6 hour leisurely stroll, maybe?) and it was the night of a lunar eclipse. So I am walking through some sketchy parts of Oakland in the middle of the night and the moon goes dark and I kept hearing people screaming, and saw prostitutes crying, cars driving extra recklessly, gunshots more than you usually hear in Oakland, etc. Like a full moon time ten-lot's of bad shit going down and the atmosphere was thick with just plain eerie. It wasn’t “dead” it was “yeah” but you just exposed yourself as someone who’s brain is trying to CONFIRM a PREDETERMINED BELIEF that Trav is GUILTY. That means you have a belief, & then work backwards to find clues to prove your belief. What I recommend is to keep an open mind, take in all the facts, & then come to an unbiased conclusion. Travis’ TEAM is the one who booked the venue. It was the VENUE’s security. It was the CROWD that ran thru “do not enter” barriers. He’s still responsible but there’s plenty of others responsible & this is just to say that he will hardly face any reprimanding. The label will pay the fees / fines & Trav will never get prison time. Just the facts :)

Andrew is in the wrong here. The reason why he’s defending Travis is because during one of his acts a woman fainted and Shultz made an entire acts making fun of her. Look Rock concerts and bands have a better hold and control of the crowd. Look at Linkin Parks concerts and how they handle stuff. Travis Scott never really had safety in mind. He never had to. This is a wake up call for the hip hop community
I know how events like this can get crazy. My first time at EDC a girl collapsed right in front of me and started having a seizure. I remember a kid in a wheelchair getting knocked over by the lifeless crowd (lots of people were on, but not conscious whatsoever) just walking over shit not stopping. Had to like literally yell and push people to quit moving, damn near fight people. I get it, but Travis should have stopped the show based on the videos I saw. One part of the crowd was literally yelling stop the show... pretty crazy. Also... Occult means Hidden. I personally believe people this famous are what we call "Luminary's". Pretty sad situation overall.
Travis Scott's decision to consistently put the lives of his fans at risk is, at best, self-promotion by way of wreckless fun: which is a human right that can turn into wreckless endangerment as soon as you start including others without consent. Much of the audience were aware of the event's reputation for, and explicit promotions of, mass hysteria. However, they were not made aware of the lack of safety like Travis was and as such were incapable of consenting. Its relatively unique the way a show of this scale promoted breaking in and raging without taking precautions and is made all the more suspicious to people by Travis not stopping the show, the shows occult theme and a slew of shady actions and apparent coincidences. Whether it was a simple case of criminal negligence born by greed or a meticulously premeditated ritual: it deserves level-headed yet open-minded attention. When presenting a topic that reaches beyond the realm of common acceptance (like conspiracy theroies) its necessary to thoroughly explain why the established facts should peak our interest in a certain possibility and, regarding the direct vs. indirect sourcing of said facts, it is best to provide clarity upon which to paint a solid foundation capable of supporting one's perspective. Realize and acknowledge your epistemological condition before believing anything. Conspiracy theories are one of the saddest subjects because a sober middle ground is flooded from both sides by blind belief and pathological skepticism: from the manic vibes of too many misguided conspiracy theroists reselling whatever they've bought, to the naively dismissive majority of people who for various reasons are unwilling if not incapable of accepting any notion that conspiracies are worthy of attention. Trust in the government is wanted more so than needed by the people: therefore earning enough trust is easier. Society's tendancy to ignore, judge and mock conspiracy theories is the most valuable point of defense any conspiring powers could have.

Dont believe the coming ufo alien abduction narrative
Everybody knows that the best live perfomer is RA the Rugged man.

Some were saying they took drugs and overdosed. Literally all of these are no more wrong than the other.
He is literally talking about opening gates in his new song.
The set was designed as hell's gate taking inspiration from Saturn's Hill.
It's pretty close to be a ritual since he has accepted it in the new dystopia album
Also the death of 8 people is equal to the 8 fires that were on the stage when his concert started. Also 8 is the number of Saturn or something like that.

Andrew is in the wrong here. The reason why he’s defending Travis is because during one of his acts a woman fainted and Shultz made an entire acts making fun of her. He’s basically defending Travis because going against means that Shultz also has to be responsible for anything that happens at his shows or happened on his shows. But Travis Scott is 100% responsible for every single death, majority of his wealth should be going towards reparations for the families and injuries

Travis Scott fan here and if you watch his old concert vids on RUclips he generally stops the show so people who fainted are pulled out by security. With that said I always found it a lil weird how he got audience members amped up before making them stage dive. Very much like ritual sacrifice. So there could be something to all the symbols. Where there's smoke there's fire.

People are dying (Shultz he looks concerned) Travis Scott “let’s make the ground shake”
They’re really trying to play dude for mentioning those references about Travis’ devil-worshiping. Speaking of “occult”, Alleister Crowley is a very popular Occultist who became influential throughout Holly-weird. Travis is another student of Crowley’s practices sacrificing his fans. I think Travis didn’t care to help his fans bc he didn’t want to be bound by his responsibility to help but instead he selfishly finished the concert on his own terms. His desires to free himself from the bounds of a moral duty costed hundreds of people their safety.

When the crowd rushed in through security without being checked and they lost count of who was in the venue, show should have been canceled. Plus should have been communication between security on the ground and event coordinator

I love conspiracy theories. A lot of them are turning out to be conspiracy fact. Yeah cuz people conspire all the time. 🤨
The Term “Conspiracy Theory” Was Invented by the CIA In Order To Prevent Disbelief of Official Government Stories
Conspiracy literally means "2 or more people planning to commit a felony" -they happen every single day, all over the world.
That’s not true about him saying “f*k all that”, those alleged 2 crew members were actually fans who then went on to dive into the crowd.
Anywho, it’s all too messed up.. good young people died..
Not the artists’ fault, people pass out every show, he actually had to evaluate if stopping the show would incite an actual riot
Thank you
Okay... I would STRONGLY recommend that you all refrain from discussing Astroworld from this day forward. It's obvious that your lack of empathy or compassion prevents this crew from doing anything close to a respectful analysis of what happened and who played a role it the DEATHS of those people. Andrew's bizarre defense of Scott and his pathological reluctance to hold him accountable in any way is especially disturbing. And then the giggling, howls of laughter??!! I mean, What the FUCK???
8 people dying at a concert from being trampled is not normal
It wasn't even from being trampled, rather that the overcrowding caused so much pressure in the middle of the crowd that some of them died standing up as they had no room to fall down and suffocated because of the pressure caused by people pushing into the crowd from all sides
