One of the meanest mosh pits ive ever been in, and i was in a lot, was Violent Femmes Edgefest Omaha mid 90's. Outdoor. Huge dirt tornado. Everyone drunk. They came out and it was like slayer hit the stage.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to, and I've seen hundreds of bands, was the Violent Femmes at the outdoor Wolftrap in VA. Mojo Nixon... opening for the Pogues... who opened for the Femmes. They did every early song and most of the later ones, including a 10 minute version of "I Dig the Black Girls"... and a version of this song that turned the entire place, to the outer edges of the lawn, into pandemonium... amazing performance...

The xylophone has a range between 2-1/2 and 4 octaves. The marimba has a range from 3 to 5 octaves or higher. The xylophone has shorter resonators, reaching to about half of the frame, and its mallets are either covered with or completely made of rubber or plastic.

    • @anne-droid7739

Nope--makes one pine for a bygone era of genuinely creative art. Your generation doesn't seem to be creating anything fresh. You do remakes and Auto-Tune. That's like serving leftovers every night of the week, month after month, year after year. If the best you can do is hold up your low smoking rates, you have one helluva dreary future. Save yourselves, and go make something NEW!!!

I can know by the way you treat your man
I can love you baby til it's a cryin'
    'Cause it's gone daddy gone
    Your love is gone
    Gone daddy gone
    The love is gone
    Gone daddy gone
    The love is gone
    Yeah it's gone daddy gone
    The love is gone
    Beautiful girl lovely dress
    Fifteen smiles oh yes
    Beautiful girl lovely dress
Where she is now I can only guess
    'Cause it's gone daddy gone
    Your love is gone
    Gone daddy gone
    The love is gone
    Gone daddy gone
    The love is gone
    Yeah it's gone daddy gone
    The love is gone away

Wow i didnt know the Gnarles Barkley version was a cover. I'm not sure which version i like the best. Its pretty hard to make a Xylophone sound cool but they pulled it off.

      Ras TreeTree Crossroads
Its a music duo composed of and CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse. The genre of music they fall under isn't easy to describe, they have influences from alot of places. Sort of a R&B, funk, Neo soul, alt-rock mix I guess. Anyway the cover is pretty good, its worth your time to give them a listen.

      Ryan Dikeos
Yea a while back I realized he was a common thread in alot of the music I loved. He stays busy.

Seen this band a few times in Cleveland, before this album was even released! Drummer was playing the sticks on everything, floor, tables, the bar ... oh yeah, a trash can! Awesome live to this day! (yep, saw ‘em again, last summer.

+Jonathan Rivers there is still good music. For gods sake, the Violent Femmes came back in 2013. There were people in the 30s like you who thought music sucked. You don't like electronic music. It's a new type of music. There is still music like this being made, it just isn't mainstream.
