You know Tom - Ive watched a bunch of 1911 detail strip vids. Rewatch them all the time since so often some little tip/trick slipped by you the first time, or you just forgot it. The ones that save you from chasing that tiny spring or detent across the room somewhere & maybe you don't find it at ALL! We have all been there. What I like about your vids is the fast moving pace, but with just the right amount of detail. You covered everything necessary in just over 10 minutes. Perfect nomenclature on all the 1911 parts. Good swift but clear delivery. Thanks bud. Well done. I'll bookmark this one in case of cognitive decline LOL.
Thanks Jay! I did originally make this for myself for the same reason. First, you don’t do a full tear down very often so you tend to forget things any way but mainly because cognitive decline is real!
Those came from experimentation. Best thing in my tool kit. Just simple nylon picks from Amazon. What happens is that the flimsy ends break off or can be clipped off, leaving you with a great sturdy "punch". There are a few sets on Amazon. This was the best 1911 disassembly I ever watched. Thank you very much.

@@tomdgunnery8360 Hey - I resemble that remark!
Tom - That delrin or plastic punch you were using - Where did you get that? I need a coupe.
