Yeah I've always been curious what the intent behind the game was, I know it was made in tandem with Elden Ring so a lot of the Sekiro benefits weren't seen in that game... the next FromSoftware game should be very indicative of what Sekiro's future is.

I really like that boomerang lightning arrow! I love mechanics that reward the player for nailing a challenging mechanic, and the lightning boomerang feels like something that makes you feel like a badass for deflecting properly. Keep up the good work!
Dude, that boomerang arrow is what i ALWAYS wanted from a mod. A really creative move never seen before. Have you ever thought on making an "extreme" mode where the difficulty spikes a lot more (for example double boomerang arrows, odd sakura dance rythm, more feints)? Although i understand if you can't, it's hard to make a genuinely hard mod with a healthy amount of fairness (though at this point healthy isn't in the equation is it haha) Now that you have more attention from people (since ongbal did make a video on your mod) i wonder what your gonna make next? Prime geni? Geni if he won against wolf and honed his skills, maybe he would be using his bow more, as he is canonically better as an archer than a swordsman, making multiple curved shots and a unique "form" he made on his own? Or maybe modded isshin, planting cuts in the air to activate at the right moment, sending waves of air blades to us? Many many more things to come, and many more improvements! Can't wait for the future of your mod making skills!
Sounds like you should be making mods too with those ideas haha. The next mission is modding Emma, I don't expect it to be as grand as Elden Genichiro, that would be reserved for someone like Isshin, but I'm excited to create something new. Thanks again for your support :D

@@blank-3403 I'll look into making a custom slot for a new boss if it is sustainable for more than just a few new additions otherwise I'll replace normal Emma with like how Geni is currently. She'll most likely be 2 phases, but I'll need to get creative with the transition between phases as the death animation is quite weird if she suddenly just pops back to life after being stabbed haha.

As for the second phase transition, im not sure if you can alter a little bit of the cutscenes, but if you can a simple way might be to make isshin's hands glow or something, make it so he looks like he's giving his life force to emma, or just water from our gourd (tiny little touch up of our healing gourd going down by 2?) If not, maybe just act that she got that regenerative powers (could segway to a cool gimmick for her second phase), eh who knows. Many many ideas and many many limitations. Whatever you do, i'll be waiting eagerly!

There are some extremely cool ideas here. Biggest problem is vanilla floating passage. You've got to make it deflectable or change it to a different combo.
Overall an excellent iteration over the previous Elden Geni. There's nothing more satisfying than deflecting each derivative of the sakura dance, it's just 👌 One thing I noticed is that in phase II (when Geni uses flame attacks), when he does floating passage and proceeds to follow up with the flame sweep, goomba stomping him tends to result in him performing the same FP + flame sweep combo over and over again. Just a minor thing, although the AI loop can be cheesed easily lol.

So when wolf dies from headless “curse”, he’s literally scared to death 😹 What im trying to say is, it seems inappropriate to inflict horror on yourself when you use lightening skills
I think I got into the habit of calling it curse after seeing it labeled as such in the param tables at least from memory, ahh well it conveys the message of the bad bad.
A lot of people in the community kinda associate it with “curse “instead of “terror” Modders also put those random terror effect on enemies and bosses to make them harder
I did an hitless Elden Genichiro run. It was 10 attempts, and it is an fun boss fight, reminds me the way of ashina genichiro. But, it has unreactable attacks, when the lock on is off, and he is hit with that spinny move, is reactable, but the following quick slash, it feels really awkward to deflect it. And, the second phase when he do that fire move, I cant jump it over, even when I used the Sakura Dance I still got one shot, so it has an really weird hitbox too. Overall it is an really fun genichiro, I feel like, the way Tomoe is better, than the Elden Genichiro.
Thanks for the feedback, which quick slash are you referring to specifically? The fire one is quite tricky, you can jump over it, but it requires good timing. The hitbox probably needs toning down a bit.
@@BandicootPWR im refering to in your elden genichiro video at 1:19 that combo, i wasnt struggled agaisnt it in the previous, but I feel like it is faster, I mean it is different to deflect, than its in my muscle memory, so it was kinda hard to learn how to deflect it.
@@komboguymagyar1640 Ah yup, it hasn't changed from the first version, but the rhythm is definitely irregular compared to other attacks, personally I liked having to learn a new rhythm, kind of like when you first face Margot in Elden Ring, he has some delayed attacks that you just have to learn the pacing of. Anyway that is just my perspective on it, I don't know whether it's a good combo or not :P
there are alot of cool ideas but after playing the fight numerous times, there are a lot of times where geni only spams his sakura dance, arrow + follow up slash and his 3-slash sakura dance with the wind vfx. i know you gave him more combos but he just doesn't go through the them in the first 2 phases alot of times. the last 2 phases have the same problem but not as bad, he just spams lightning a lot. overall its a really good fight but alot of times you dont even get to see most of his combos

It's honestly tedious to have to use the umbrella, run away or rely on luck to succesfully counter that move. -When Genichiro does a sweep attack with the flame, do you have to jump away to avoid it or goomba stomp him? -When Genichiro becomes covered in fire and chases you with his grab attack, can you use the flame umbrella to simply bodyblock it? Or will you still be grabbed anyway? -Similar to the Twin Princes of Ds3, when Lorian disappears and teleports to attack you from another angle, your lock on will immdiately follow him to where he teleports and saves you the time of having to manually locate him and lock on. Could you apply this to Genichiro and his constant teleporting or do you just have to roll with it and just keep 360 flicking to find him lol. -With the lightning boomerang arrow, is there enough time to catch the arrow with your blade and deflect it mid-air for a faster reversal or do you just have to absorb it with you body everytime? -Last one, I hate to ask for "commissions" like this, but is it possible for you to make a small mod pack that makes Genichiro's and Isshin's lightning purple? If so, I might use it for my own videos. The hard part here will be if it will be compatible with any other overhaul mods so that their editions of Genichiro or Isshin have purple lightning. Again, I really hate to ask you something like this since we aren't essentially close, so you don't have to do this.

You have inspired me to get a pc and mod sekiro and dark souls was it hard to mod the game and how did you mod the arrow for Genichiro and the barg. What pc do you use.
It's not exactly "hard" to mod, but it will take up a lot of your time. Attack behaviour stuff is done in a param editor, either paramstudio or yapped. This in conjunction with DS Anim Studio lets you edit the animation of the attack then apply those edited attack behaviours. I used to have a desktop, but I recently changed to an Alienware x17 laptop as I am more mobile these days.
Pretty cool, but I think some of the lightning effects, like when he "teleports" or inbetween attacks is a bit misleading. To me, seeing lightning effects mean that a lightning attack is coming up in a few seconds, but maybe it's just me.

For someone new playing the mod I think it makes sense to anticipate an upcoming lightning attack. I did try to keep the effects light for those teleports, but maybe anything lightning related is misleading.

dude I find some unreasonable, the boss second life of the first phase I can break flame excute a law with normal attack (It's better to change interrupt with player skills ) I love your mod(More interesting with Metal Gear Solid sam mod)Im not good at English I hope u can understand my main thank u
Loving the mod so far! If I may ask, how do I avoid that flame sweep attack? I jump backwards I get one shotted, dodge left I die, use the umbrella I die. That move should not instantly kill and there's only a small chance I avoid that move.

You can remove the c7100 file in chr and delete the event folder. The update this weekend will move Elden Genichiro to replace Inner Genichiro instead so he won’t be his insane form in the main story.

Loving the mod so far! If I may ask, how do I avoid that flame sweep attack? I jump backwards I get one shotted, dodge left I die, use the umbrella I die. That move should not instantly kill and there's only a small chance I avoid that move.
It needs fixing, you need to run to the side for the best chance to survive, or try using the mist raven to double jump it.

You can remove the c7100 file in chr and delete the event folder.
The update this weekend will move Elden Genichiro to replace Inner Genichiro instead so he won’t be his insane form in the main story.

Hey i dont know if it's a bug. But if you use lighting palm you instantly get shocked and died if you dont charge it .
That was an intentional decision to punish people for not charging it because of how powerful it is.
