I love how the owl plays like a player and every time he breaks your posture he goes for a deathblow unlike other enemies who would just wait or do a normal attack.
He is a great shinobi, after all
@anonanonecki7960 He uses the same shinobi tools and moves as the player and will take any opportunity to win even if it is scummy.

@@Mincecroft Uses the same Shinobi tools without the prosthetic. That's why he's limited to shurikens and firecrackers as they're easily utilized and concealed plus that venom thing other shinobis utilize

Gyoubu does actually have a new move, but it's not that obvious. the combo at 4:41, if you deflect the last attack he follows up with new attacks, which is pretty overwhelming as I still don't know where the hitbox of the weapon and the attacks are lol

I actually didn't know that owl could do that... I never attempted to thrust attack him
he can also do it if you use the spear
he was the one who taught Wolf mikiri btw of course you couldn't thrust against him haha. There are some very small windows right after dodging where you can do it when owl isn't ready yet

I didn't know either, but I guess both wolf and owl are shinobi. Shinobi are unlike samurai, they fight to win by any means, which is why normal enemies have like only sword or whatever, but you have all the tools. SO yeah, makes sense I guess
Aggy is just such a fresh breeze. I've only discovered him like a month ago and I've enjoyed tons of his Dark Souls remastered playthroughs and such. He never gets angry, he always has a smile on his face, it's just something different from the usual shit you find on the internet.
Aggy and Skurry are my two conform channels that I can just watch to chill out

OmG when tengu disappeared I started to die outta everything that could be done I was not expecting that
bro, them nerfing bull actually had me falling out of my seat lmao. I died more times to that darned bull then I did Genichiro, Gyoubu, and lady butterfly combined. (5 tries for lady, 8 tries for geni, 3 for gyoubu) (23 tries for bull 😅)
Everyone dies to blazing bull because they aren't parrying his heavily telegraphed, easily triggered uppercut headbutt.
Every time you do it staggers him and lets you get free hits in, and you just need to stand a certain distance away from him to reliably trigger it.
Completely trivializes the fight even before you add firecrackers to the mix. The nerf was unneeded.
@@carljohan9265 Except all his attacks still deal damage through parries, he still has a stupid amount of health to get through, and you have extremely little health and healing to tank with at that point of the game. Also by nature very difficult to understand at what points you can get his since the flaming thing is permanently on top of you anyway. Sure, if people realize that the uppercut headbutt is particularly good to deflect then they'll have an easier time, but because it makes more logical sense for every attack to be equal, few would think to continually bait out a specific attack. Not to mention requiring a parry can be demanding for a totally new player.
He's ridiculously easy if you just turn lock-on off and chase his ass as well, but that takes ages.
Problem is that it's ultimately a shit fight that the game is better off without, even if it's very easy once you figure it out.
I wonder if they did anything with the seemingly universally disliked headless. Doubt it since they're highly non-essential, but maybe.

Every time I fight it I use this strat and it works like a charm, NG or NG+.
Firecrackers just makes it even better.
For some reason, i somehow killed the bull first try the first time i played the game and i was like "damn thats it? no phase 2?" but when i reached genishiro, i had such a hard time learning his moveset he got me stuck there for 2 days (30+ deaths)

damn, how much time did you spend on this game? You adapted to the new fighting styles pretty fast. Hats off!
its only like 2 moves difference on genichiro, isshin and owl (they used the inner modes from gauntlet mode). So its doesnt take much to adapt if you were good from the beginning
For anyone who never managed to figure it out, that big ass double shockwave slash attack Inner Isshin has can be easily beaten with one of 4 prosthetic tools. Shinobi firecrackers, or a charged Flame Vent can stagger him out of the animation. The Loaded Umbrella will make you take chip damage, but you don't get staggered or knocked back, plus can retaliate with the counter strike and you can prepare it well in advance of the attack. Or Mist Raven to dodge it entirely.
Mist Raven, if timed well, is the safest to use, however oil+flame vent can deal a bit of damage, while purple spark firecrackers gives him the defense down(though it also delays the spark so you need to fire them out pretty fast, otherwise he gets the first shockwave off before being staggered). Loaded Umbrella is the easiest since you can ready it as he charges and don't need to worry about timing it like the Mist Raven, but otherwise the chip damage makes it the worst option.
Or just get outside it's range, then run inside the safe zone before the second hit strikes, but that can be hard to pull off when he uses it mid-fight rather than at the start.
you can just deflect with the umbrella lol it’s timing is insanely forgiving

Tengu appears in random places defending Ashina. You also get hi difficulty enemies appearing from the start. The fight mechanics of the bosses change and are way harder to predict.
Gen’s new in air charged bow attack is insanely bad ass.

You can use the Lotus umbrella to block the black attacks. Or use divine confetti and deflect it normally. The divine effect blocks the black mortal blades damage through guard
Is that a thing In vanilla sekiro too ?
For the third phase of Isshin, he should reanimate Genichiros body a la Headless Ape + Guardian Ape second phase. Also give him Inner Genichiro's lightning reflect, but make how often he does it semi random so it can catch you off guard every now and then. I always felt like Isshin's 3rd phase is just too easy from how much he spams lightning.
Sword Saint Isshin should have 100% introduced the double Lightning Reversal, once he drops to about 50% of his HP or goes to 75% of his Posture
So basically you just want to be tortured, headless ape and brown ape is hard because there is a phase 1 and 2 together, both of them are nerfed severly to make it possible. Putting two of the hardest bosses in the game together and not nerf them would literally be impossible to beat.
Its just better to make isshins lighting attacks more rare and put a little more creativity into the last phase.

The fake posture break by owl is both hilarious, but also perfectly on brand for his kind of fuckery. Im surprised it isnt in the base game, tbh.

Hey I know this video's two years old at this point, but you should really give this mod another go. They've updated just about everything and it's a lot better now than it was before.

Based on those previous videos I've watched about this mod. I think you need to ring the demon bell, to get them to do the new animations and movesets.
Unless they changed it in the last 4 months i dont think this is the case. I tried it for the first time yesterday and all the bosses have had new moves/ai from the get-go
Nah you don’t, i downloaded the mod and even gyoubu took 9 tries due to the new moveset, in the base game it’s never taken me more than 3.
The Genichiro in this mod is so buff he wouldn't have needed Kuro's help to save Ashina
The exploding face plant enemies are vanilla he is usually under the top window with the idol at ashina castle
He should play the updated one. The fights are more satisfying . Especially Mr me llamo

Just a tip, if you block while doing lightning reversal instead of letting yourself get hit then you don't take damage
I think he knows that, the lightning deflect requires "Mid-air Deflection" skill, he probably didn't have it
