I recently moved home to Canada-but found you in 2021 when I was living in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. It really helped me feel connected to the worldwide church as we worshipped with our little “twig” of 6 members
I am living and teaching in China. Where I live we only have zoom church. But recently I was able to travel on train to Chengdu where we met as a group of 20 saints, still over zoom, with some of the talks live, for this district conference. It’s SO Wonderful to meet together and feel the spirit together. We need each other!
When I pickup an item made in China I always look at the quality of work. Just the art and Intricate details well put together. 👌...love your small zoom church meetings. Love from Indiana USA ...Indy 500🏁
Listening to you while I’m quilting a pillowcase in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. I’m so grateful for the amazing discussions on the podcast that augment my scripture study! Thank you!
I listen every week from a little rural mining city in Karratha, Western Australia 🇦🇺 ♥️ . We have a strong little Branch who come under the Perth Mission. 😊
Listening from JBPPH, Hawaii but i am originally from Ukraine 🙏❤️🇺🇦🇺🇲 Thank you so much for your lessons and for the work and time you put in your lessons ❤️
My husband and I are listening from the Greek island of Rhodes, in the Mediterranean Sea. Thank you for such wonderful podcasts. the Book of Mormon is alive here on the island of Rhodes. Ron and Eleni Franklin
We listen weekly in Phnom Penh, Cambodia! So grateful for your insights and good works. We also loved hearing about the Book of Mormon class our daughter was in last semester with Hank Smith. Joy & gratitude all around 🌷🌷🌷
At 30 min, you are so right about the ward family. I'm from Paradise, California. Our entire town burned to the ground. My ward family scattered. It is a loss I can't describe. 5. yrs, later we are trying to mend, but it is difficult. Please know what a blessing your ward family is warts and all, if I may say.
I really hope the church from SLC still has your back. How do you pick up from everything lost 🤔. Even now, all those that are in the path of tornadoes, which includes me here in Indiana. My Havenly Father loves, please be with your church family. Your Names in the Temple for you ❤
I spent the week very ill in the hospital. I can’t tell you how comforting it was to hear the very familiar voices of Hank and John and guest giving me comfort and strength through the Book of Mormon discussion! Thank you!
I’m listening every week from Newcastle, Sydney Australia as I drive my kids to school and sports and drive myself to work. Thank you for sharing such a depth of knowledge
Currently listening from Vasa Fitness in Northern Utah. Dr Erickson is my FAVORITE guest. She is inspiring. I love how she articulates her thoughts and validates everything said by Hank and John as well. She is a gifted communicator.
For the last little while I have had these thoughts rolling around in my mind... First, covenant is symbolized by a separation and a mending through covenant. Then, I have repeatedly had this thought - There is nothing we can break that God can't fix. In fact, in order to make our brokenness sacred, we offer up the pieces to the atonement and allow Christ to heal it. That is the essence of covenant.
Your comments around marker 23 is an answer to my prayers. As A grandmother, to learn that a couple brothers are not speaking to each other after their parents have died, when they had been so close before their parents death, it breaks my heart. But your words bring comfort to my soul because if anyone can bring the children together in love, it is our Father in heaven and our Savior, Jesus Christ. And though I've read it many times in the Book of Mormon, today my eyes of understanding has been made clear! Thank you, Dr. Erickson, John and Hank! Thank you!
I am living 1/2 mile from the Far West Missouri Temple Site. When we moved here in 1976 there was one small branch. Now there is the Far West Missouri Stake.
My husband and I listen weekly from our comfortably air conditioned home in Mesa AZ. Your guests are phenomenal. We feel we are attending scripture classes at BYU. My husband grew up right next to campus. ❤
I was in the nursing program at BYU with Jenet and even back then she was such a jewel!! Instead of profaning she would say the funniest thing: “Oh my heavenly stars” or “Oh my laws”. It always made me laugh. I’ve been saying “oh my laws” for 25 years and now my adult children say it, and it all stems back to Jenet 😊
I have always loved hearing, "This is MY church", the MY being Christ. We take a lot of burdens on our shoulder as if they are only ours, we actually share those burdens with Christ and our Heavenly Father.
I am listening from Hamilton Ontario. I have listened to your podcast for quite some time now and enjoy what I have been learning , no longer am I reading just to read but I am also studying and writing my thoughts down. Thank you for sharing and your dedication for the lords word

Love you guys! Listening from Virginia. My husband and I listen separately and then we come together and talk about what we have learned from what was said here. It has really strengthened my testimony of the Book of Mormon. Thank you for all you guys do!
I cannot express my appreciation enough for this podcast. Thank you so much to all who make it possible and available. Brother Bytheway, I grew to love your teaching as a youth and am thankful for you! Brother Smith, I discovered your social media right before you started this podcast and eagerly anticipated it. It has been such a blessing in my life and therefore my family & those I serve. Thank you both for sharing your talent and testimony! Dr. Erickson, I so appreciate you and your amazing insights and testimony. Much love! I’m listening from Alberta, Canada!
It's always impressive at how many scriptures and quotations bro Bytheway has memorized! He is clearly saying them from memory and not reading them- he must have a photographic memory like my husband
Thank you John for sharing your experience of being bishop and presiding in a disciplinary action. I am soooo grateful to know the other side of that. I’m sure it is a heavy thing.
Brother Bytheway, when I told you I loved your stuff at the BYU Baseball game, this is what I was talking about. Thanks for giving me some hope. Not just you, but Brother Smith and all your wonderful guests.
From San Diego, CA, America's finest city. I took a class in Hungarian at BYU circa 1975 - the Hungarian word for Church is "Egyhaz" - literally "One House". I think that is pertinent to the discussion about being one church - one house, one family - but many places of gathering. Love to listen to your programs - though tough to find the most recent episode with my browser. By the way, time to get your youtube/podcast translated into a few other languages.
Salt Lake City, UT! Thank you so much for doing this podcast! I learned so much from both of you at BYU and I’m grateful that I can still learn from you each week!
