I would love a video of how you're working the IEW in with TGATB ELA! We would love to do both I just feel like it might overwhelm my kids! I used IEW and Fix it grammar last year and this year we're trying TGATB ELA Level 4 with 3 kids together! Looking forward to hearing how your supplementing goes!
I'm all about outsourcing! I mentioned it in my 9th grade curriculums video. Outsourcing shouldn't be frowned on at all. Btw- I love your channel name so much.❤
We are using IEW Structure and Style for the first time this year as well. E read President of the Whole Fifth Grade last year and really liked it. I have the President of the Whole Sixth grade on our bookshelf for her to read this year as well. Jacqueline Woodson - AWESOME!!!
Love these! Hope you post more videos this year- of life too! Grocery hauls, food, DITL, etc… Can You do a video of why you chose to homeschool and pull your older two out of public school? I have always homeschooled my kids but my oldest is going into 6th and I’m dreading it… it seems to get worse each year. I debate sending them to town but I don’t know what to expect..
I also am curious how you utilize the G&B with the added grammar and writing curricula. Do you still do all the grammar and writing in the GB or just use its portions for reading, art projects, and geography?
Hi! Thank you for your video. I have used the TB since 1s grade and love it. I can't believe I came across this video that actually talks about what I've been wanting to do, IEW wl fixit grammar & TB (omiting the writing part.) I know it has not been too long into it, but can you tell us how it is going so far?
Did you do any electives with your 6th grader? Thanks! My oldest is about to start 6th grade, so I’m trying to wrap my head around what that might look like.
I enjoy getting my fiance's younger brother (11) and sister (19, has a learning disability) to read more. I only have my personal books for them to read and they are a little daunting and have a lot of dark, mature themes in them. Do you have any age appropriate books recommendations?
Jenny Phillips's personal beliefs don't have any bearing on the effectiveness of the curriculum she created. We haven't found any hint of Mormon propaganda in it whatsoever, and I know people of many denominations of Christianity had their hand in developing it. 🤷♀️ If that is your personal conviction, then you should definitely do what you feel is right! 💕
@@Michelle-xk9gl If you think of it that way, you probably unknowingly support TONS & TONS of stuff that are against your beliefs. ALL businesses, big & small, that you shop from support all kinds of causes that you might not align with. I understand your point, but feel it is kind of amiss here.
Good morning, Mamas! ☕️ I hope you enjoy today's video! 💕

I absolutely can do an updated video of that! 💕
We are using Fix it Grammar for the first time and we like it alot so far. We are doing Nose Tree as well.
We love Fix-It-Grammar!! My 6th grader will start with Nose Tree.
It is wonderful!!

I think it will be trial and error as we introduce it, but I will definitely keep you all updated on how it goes!

Great picks! Will you be doing a video for group subjects like science and history? I am trying to get ideas for those subjects for next year!
Yes!! That video will be coming on Friday! 💕
Thanks for this video, very helpful. I just subscribed 😊
Thank you for being here! 💕

Do you let your daughter write in the book for her answers for Saxon?
She writes everything on a separate sheet of paper!

Hi. Do you use your grading service?
I have not in the past, but I may consider it this year with having 2 using Saxon!
I do and it’s wonderful
Keep in mind that if you're purchasing from The Good and the Beautiful you are supporting the Mormon church.

@@OneBlessedMess I'm talking about the 10% that she titles from her business. That 10% goes to the Mormon church.
@@Michelle-xk9gl If that bothers you, then this probably isn't the curriculum for you. 😊 There are lots of other great options out there!

@@ajgehlhausen I am only making a valid point. You can justify things however you like.
