If you are new here, hi and welcome! I'm Christie, and I'm a 4th year homeschooling mom to 5 kids (ages 11, 10, 8, 3, and 1!) My husband and I pulled our kids out of public school, moved to our house in the country, and haven't looked back! Jack isn't a baby anymore. :( I couldn't believe it seeing him sit there like a big boy with his siblings. He is SO CUTE! I hope you have a blessed school year Christie. You remain one of my favorite RUclips mamas because you are so REAL. Thank you for encouraging other homeschool mamas out there!

So inspired by your graceful conduct. I have a sweet two year old son and this will be our first year of homeschool with my seven year old daughter. Giving myself and walking in all the grace is my goal! 🙏

Haven't started this video yet, but I just want to say I got emotional seeing your beautiful family in the thumbnail. You are such a hardworking mama, homeschooling all of your kiddos! I give you so much respect for that and I love that you're raising the future at home. I only have three kids and it can be hard sometimes to homeschool with just three, but then I reflect on you and how many you're raising with your bare hands! It gives me hope to keep going (: So much respect to you!

Love it. Great video. In my two decades of homeschool, the only reason I put on make up was for a podcast interview, life coaching call, or my own video recording. 😊

Thanks for reminding me. I had it on my list to call the doc and get my son looked at today because he has a swollen lymphnode too. I literally paused the video and went and did that. Check. Done. Thank you!

Hello 👋🏼 just curious on what your pediatricians said about it. My toddler has a swollen one too. I’ve already mentioned it to the pediatrician but she said it looked good and she wasn’t concerned about it. I mentioned it to two pediatricians actually and they both said the same.
@@CHAVEOCHOA They did blood work and an ultrasound on it and said they believe it's just basically calcified..that might not be the word for it but it's perpetually swollen and not getting any bigger. When he was sick (likely when he had Covid) it swelled and being he has OCD he kept poking at it over his worries, this likely formed some type of scaring and it has never gone down. It's never gotten bigger either. The doc believes this is likely what happened. He doesn't have lumps anywhere else. My son now remembers not to poke at stuff so that it can heal properly. Lymphnodes naturally swell to fight off sickness and usually go down with time. If your doc's not concerned and it's not getting any bigger....I wouldn't be concerned. Easier said then done, I know. Deep breath, I'm sure it's fine 🙂

We use TGATB math and Saxon too L:). I have a question what is the difference between Mrs. Nick and the CD to thumb drive that Saxon offer, I need a little help with math and I wold love to know the difference. I know you like Mrs Nick.

Oh goodness, thank you!! I don't do anything special! I just blow dry and curl with a curling wand! Lol no extra products or anything 🥰

This was a great visual for me! I have two homeschooling this year and one that is almost one. We are using Abeka curriculum, but I love what you are doing here. I might consider something like this next year. Do you just mix curriculum? Do you find it hard to put them all at once table? My boys will NOT get anything done if there are even in the same room together.

Do any of your older kids have a hard time focusing when you’re working out loud with a little? My oldest would be staring at us, and my middle would be holding his ears lol
Sometimes they do! We move a lot around the house for this reason!

On the Good and Beautiful curriculum. Do they have a bundle deal or do you buy the books individually? I have a kindergartener and a 3 year old whom is extremely interested in school.

Hey 💛 Thank you for sharing. Can I ask… how do you get your kids to go to the table? It’s impossible to get my middle child to stop playing Lego in the mornings and even if we all get to the table, someone needs the toilet or something else and the moment passes us by…. How did your children become trained in this?
I set clear expectations in our homeschool. They can either obey or have privileges taken away. We aren't super strict, but it is so important that they know their boundaries and that when it's time to start school, we start school. Their education is so important and I make sure they know that I mean business! 🥰

I will transition my 3rd grader to Saxon probably in 5th grade!

Hi what are your thoughts on iew? What age do you think is good to start iew?
We are LOVING IEW! I'd say grades 4-5 for Level 1, but my 6th grader is learning so much too!

Oh, I absolutely have my days! I'm introverted and easily drained as well - literally just grace and coffee sustain me some days! 😆
