I think Ego knows better. That's why we havent heard very much about it since. #1. No RTK = DOA#2. Needs AWD - you gotta do better than 45% slopes to compete. Thats basically a flat lawn. They will have a winner if they can match what Luba can do, but with the flexibility of the Ego battery system. For context, I have a garage full of Ego tools, so you can call me a fanboy for sure, but if its between this thing and Luba, its Luba ftw.
If ego put satellite in this mower it would be crazy expensive. I guess they used boundary wire for cost. Although I feel they are missing something why not make a base model that can be upgraded? How about a detachable module that can go from cheaper wire to satellite?
The idea of a robotic mower is so that your lawn always looked mowed. As it cuts everyday and then the ground can deal with the clippings without having to collect or leave a mess.
You lost the market at 1:00 when you said it is a boundary wire mower. It’s 10 years too late. Wish you came up with it in 2010 and I didn’t have to deal with bloody husqvarna. In 2024, these won’t sell 10 units.
