    Nice job, thanks for sharing. But use a jack stand!!! Come on guys! At least throw the wheel under the car so when the car falls it doesn’t hit the ground.

    • @smileywarrior1870
      @smileywarrior1870 5 лет назад +1

      Yep, I agree. You most certainly need to have a safety jack underneath the vehicle if not a wheel.

      They throw safety out the door. I don't think I'd ask these guys to replace my Suspension. Unless I supervise. lol

      NEISS estimated that 4,822 people in the U.S. receive hospital emergency treatment in a single year for jack failure injuries. That’s almost 5,000 people injured by the simple act of jacking up a vehicle for repair.

      The job doesn't require you to get under the car but yes, you can still get hurt.

    Dont let the spindle / rotor assembly fall or tilt outward away from the car. Doing this can pull the axle out of the transmission coupling, causing more work to re install it.

    I've heard mixed things about those all in one struts. Some say the ride isn't as good or the springs aren't as strong as the originals. Probably OK for a car that old and that small. Either way, I recommend KYB struts.
    Also I notice he didn't use a torque wrench on the 3 nuts on top.

    When using Monroe Quick Struts on a 1995 Geo Prizm, the the holes in the car body for the three studs at the top of the strut, must be drilled out. The Monroe studs are larger than the OEM studs and will not fit without drilling the holes larger.
