Thanks, Victorian! I have more in my head!
Never would have thought to do this setting…very cool! I love this block (and I AM a potato chip block fan.)
Thanks for watching, Cheryl! This block is just endless in its possibilities!
BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for the inspiration ♡

I am a potato chip fan…edible and sewable! Super quilt top! Very neat to see how organized you were!
Thanks for watchig, Sherry! I'm more chaos than organization! 🤣
Melissa i really love this pattern - what a great way for us to use some Jelly Rolls lol
thank you and be well - blessings xx
Thanks, as always, for watching, Janet. God bless!💕
Great instructions ! Easy to follow information. Loved this idea for using up leftover fabric.
Thanks so much for watching, Saundra!
My fav in this series and yes I definitely have those days❣️
Thanks for watching, Ragtop! This one was fun!
Lovely seeing you having fun when sewing your potatoe chip block. Lovely colour design. Very clever. Your comedy inserts were really great again.
Thanks, Karen. My inner class clown needs to make an appearance! 🤣
The lighting looks really great. The camera angles give me a clear view. Thank you for your attention to detail.
Hi Rhonda, thanks for watching!
Melissa I love the rainbow color and yes I do see the “X”. This one turned out really beautiful! I love how you leave your “oops that isn’t quite right in the video”. So glad to see that not all quilts come out correctly the first time the way most RUclips videos try to make it seem. The chicken talkin and the admission of error make it show that “Yes you are human just like the rest of us!!” Still working on the 1” hexie totally and sewn quilt. Still saying this is my 5 year project and I have not given up yet!!
Keep stitchin and stay warm down there. Trying to do the same up here in northeastern KY. Hope to see another video soon!
Laura ❤️
Yes Mam, that's me, heavily flawed, but Jesus still loves me! 😍 You have true stamina to do that 1" hexie! I started a grandmother's flower garden quilt back in the 70s.... never finished it. It got a bit nippy here but hoping we don't get any snow. Stay warm up there! 😘
Love this variation. I am sorting scraps!
Have fun with this one, Kelly! Thanks for watching!
I’ve made several potato chip block quilts. Like this pattern and will look forward to this new color placement. Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Westlake! I have many different layouts for the Potato Chip block.
I am cutting quilt remnants into 'chips' and thought I would come see what everyone else is doing... 10 seconds into your video and I just have to come say - first, I LOVE your chicken clucking intro, and second, I LOVE your cutting table in the background, looks just like mine! Ok, now I will go watch the video - Hello from southern Saskatchewan
I never expected to see that pattern of x's. Thank you.
Thanks for watching, Judy, this was a fun one!
I love it. This might be my favorite one yet. Great Job!
Thanks, Debra!
I love your potato chip blocks! My 2-1/2 strips will finally get used up!

I Love the way you corrected yourself! Too funny; but, Hey - we've all been there.
I really love the sound of your sewing machine - it runs so quiet and smooth. ❤️ Great block!
Was that a cat photobombing your video? Flinging the red thingie & tossing it around? Hahaha!!! A star is born.
Yep, that was! Thanks for watching, Smudge!
Oh wow! I love it, thanks for sharing!
Feb. 11, 2024. Kittycat!!! This layout is super nifty! 😻
Thanks for watching, Marion! You just have to have a kitty assistant! Mr. Dinky is no more but I have a new assistant; Ms. Dash. Here she is! ruclips.net/video/cp8m0y0WMlM/видео.htmlsi=HlbjVc8ycxFKCv31&t=274
I am saving up rectangles in one of my 12X12 plastic boxes.
I'm just so glad these blocks don't have calories! I'm working on a different block design that also uses these 2.5"x 4.5" pieces. There's no end to the fun!
What a darling design from the block pattern 🌹✂️🧵🪡

Not sure where I've been, but just heard about potato chip quilts. Your spin on them is lovely. I'm going to put one of these into my rotation. I had to watch because of the 301! I've managed to collect 4 of those.🫢
Potato Chip blocks are so much fun. I have a playlist with all sorts of them. Thanks for watching, Aunt Dello!
Your cat is adorable
He's adorable but man, can he push my buttons!

Thanks for watching, Catherine! 😘🙏😍
Hello there,
I’m Deb & I hail from the region of Muskoka, Ontario, Canada🇨🇦. Enjoyed watching you sew your “X Marks the Spot Quilt”. Absolutely loved all the bright & bold colours you chose for your quilt blocks. I have a much better understanding of the Potato Chip Block now. Therefore, thank you for your easy explanation of the layout. I plan to sew the Potato Chip Block with the larger rectangles (2-1/2” x 4-1/2”).
Although, I was wondering if I could supersize the blocks?
Will the layout still look similar if I decided to supersize the pieces? And, last but not least should I just increase the block piece length by 2” increments?Kindest regards quilters.
“The best way to get something done………….
Is to begin”.
You can do 3.5" x 6.5" if you want the pieces larger. This will certainly produce a quilt top quicker. You can also do 4.5" x 8.5". Any piece that is half the width of the length, plus seam allowance, will work. When you sew two 2.5"x 4.5" patches together lengthwise the resulting block will be 4.5" wide. Then you sew a 4.5" piece on the top of that block.
If you like to do free motion quilting you can start with really large patches and then quilt a different pattern in each patch.
The possibilities are endless with this block!
Stunning😊
Hi hope are having a good day or night ❤
Thanks, Brenda, I hope you have a great day too! Thanks for watching.
I see the crosses :) Love it❣🥰🫶✝
Thanks so much for watching, Chiyo! God bless! 🥰✝️
Thanks!
Over the years i have had multiple sewing machines and each of them knows when I am too tired, too ill, too headachy, too whater to be sewing so they start making birds nest, breaking threads, etc. I have bad arthritis and so am limited in just how long I can sit and sew anyhow, but I have learned to say enough is enough. I have also learned that when I come back the next day to sew, I don't adjust a thing and I don't get birs' nest, broken threads or any other problerms. So, yes I know what you are going through.
Thanks for watching, Gail. You are right, when you get too tired, the machine does act up. It knows I'm done and is just giving me a heads up!
Very different! I like it.
I have seen where someone did a potato chip quilt but sashed around the center. You know I LOVE sashing! Would you consider doing a video on how that would work? I'm thinking the sizes of something would have to change. Thanks!
Like this one? ruclips.net/video/0-IKPwuXTpc/видео.html It looks amazing! The blocks are the same size and I used 1.5" black sashing. It really makes the blocks pop.
@@70acres , the sashing just around the two center pieces is what I’m interested in learning. Totally changed the look of the entire block. I just haven’t figured out how it would change the sizes of the other pieces. Hope that makes sense.
But, yes, then I would sash the entire block like the other video.
Oh, now I got it. I'm slow at times! 😉 You could try slicing the pieces that go around the center the long way and sewing on a black or solid color to bring the width back up to 2.5". That wouldn''t change the size of the pieces and it would frame the center pieces. Grab a couple of cheap men's dress shirts from your local thrift store and try it. Or use the good stuff and make a pot holder out of any failures.
New to your video. Sorry I got lost in your information making the block
Hey hey momma b
Hi, Carrie!
Okay this is turning into an addiction. The quilts are supposed to ne the potato chips not the videos😆
I'm glad you are enjoying my videos, Pegasus! I hope they put lots of fun projects in your future!
is there a link to the pattern please?
What State is your mountain in?
I'm in North Carolina. In the very Northwest corner. I'm 20 minutes from Virginia, 20 minutes from Tennessee and 20 minutes from my local Wal*Mart. 😁
Louder during the video please
Hi Pat, thanks for watching. I did purchase a better mic so my new videos have better audio.
