How to “Add Value” to Your Network: Networking Tips

Start by adding value, not asking for help [finding a new job].
^^ This is advice I’ve seen time and time again when it comes to networking, and I know it works because I tend to ignore or brush off those who approach me with a sales pitch or a big ask right off the bat.
However, figuring out HOW to add value or HOW to provide value when you are looking for help finding a new job, or help in general is a big question mark. What can you do for someone to “add value” or “provide value?”

Hi Abby, I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now and I had my final interview last week. The interviewer stated that I should hear something by the end of this week. To date I havent heard anything and was wondering if I should reach out or continue to wait? If so do you have a video or tips on what I should say? I really value your opinion & advice.

Great question! I definitely would follow up. As it's Friday night (at least for me), it's unlikely they will respond over the weekend, but not impossible. You can choose to send a follow up email now or wait until Sunday night so it's closer to the top of their inbox for when they are back to work on Monday.
