@DogSayingWoosh I never said it was cheating but I don't think it should be allowed. Solely because only players with NVidia graphics cards (supposedly) can replicate this I think it should be bannable, after an in-game PSA.

How was this even up for discussion? Its straight up cheating that gives a massive advantage to the user and the ban is fully justified.
Yes, I think a way to adjust this so people can just have funky graphics with no advantage is to make LODs solid instead of disappear. Let's take the field grass on maps like Panzer storm and arras. Instead of making it disappear, the software should make it a solid yellow cuboid that the player can walk through. No advantage, no problem.
Seriously. Unless there it was limited to a mode where everyone used these settings, then it's clear cheating

Well this explains why i keep getting killed from through 10 trees.
Literally this. While it has not been common then here have been times where I was in heavy bushes, away from the combat, and not moving and still get headshot by a sniper/guy with a scope. I don't think this "setting" is used by a lot of people but I bet some of the sweaty guys do it.
Or through smoke. Some guy did it to me recently I said in chat "howdid you [precisely shoot me through smoke" and he claimed to be shooting at someone behind me (also in smoke). He insta-gibbed me, so he saw precisely where I was crouching behind cover. God damned cheats.
Same, I swear a ton of people use this as I've played too many games on low visibility maps where some players had abnormally high scores.
Eh, you were killed by wallhacker/aimbotter not someone using this then.
You can see through objects like trees, but trees are STILL there for bullets to hit.
Smoke is still rendered properly because smoke is server based, not client based, so yes, you were killed by aimbotter/wallhacker/ESP user. Not someone using this exploit.

Yeah they wanted the game to be more like the hardcore shooters that are gaining popularity. But they are too stupid to see what the consequences are going to be. As someone who is moderately visually impaired and severely colorblind, I would love this mode to be made available for accessibility reasons as a game feature.
For example, Fortnight put in a visual indicator for hearing impaired. If everyone has access to it, that should equalize the playing field, right?

People have been using this specific driver texture tweak for a very long time, since at least CoD Modern Warfare 2. It’s always been there and works on any game..... it’s no different to running a low FPS config or using other graphics tweaks. Players definitely should not be getting banned for this!!! As you can see the tweak comes with disadvantages as well as advantages such as the massive, view obscuring bushes after the tweak is put in place etc
It's literally Nvidia inspector, it's Dices fault for allowing the LOD so low
Jack makes it really look like cheating by stating it's "a program" that does this, he never discloses that it doesn't have to run in the background, kinda manipulative of him tbh. Nvidia Inspector is just a program that allows you to more precisely tweak your driver settings, it doesn't run in the background or does anything to the Battlefield V game directly. It's literally just changing the settings in your Nvidia driver. Dick move Jack.

No, as this guy said it's just the dev's fault. Nvidia inspector is a legal software anyone can use, it's not for cheating or "hacking" games. If you count it as a cheat tool then you could also call people who play at higher resolutions and framerates cheaters.

when i play BF5 my game didn't loaded yet and any player are green and no animation.

If you play REVENFIELD it looks legit like it but in Roblox it has textures like wood, stones and marble that is not in high detailed.

you know what, it'd be cool if they made a new gamemode especially for this, have it low poly and stylized, and have it as a alternate mode for low spec gamers/people who prefer it
They did it with Hialgo Boost or just the Nvidia gpu drivers and this does happen quite often in other games so the bans do make sense

This really does explain a lot of my frustrations playing BFV. I always put it down to the aim bots people are using. But now this answers some of the incredible impossible kills people get. I don't understand why people feel the need to cheat. I'm shit at the game, but would never contemplate the need to cheat to pretend I'm better. Ban the lot of them.

I wholefully agree with you. I regularly hide in bushes, Im covered in green British uniforms and all. Then I get assault-rifles from the distance. Or Im proning in Aras in the Rapeseed. But I get clocked in the head with a sniper rifle , who is also proning in the Rapeseed and then gets me. Keep in mind I use Iron Sights on my guns just so you know.

Idk it kinda seems like if your using this its either to gain an advantage or to achieve the same effect as playing on lower graphic settings then you really need to maybe they should consider implementing officials graphic modes that are even lower to not only remove the need for someone to use the application but also allow everyone to be on equal grounds which would hopefully fix both issues

Having your enemy stick out like a sore thumb is cheating if it is not an in-game option.

Not cover, however the difference between cover and concealment aside, this is cheating.
C'mon if most people's eyesight was good enough you would be able to see through the foliage and darkness so this can't possibly be a cheat. It's not cheating to make the games graphics worse.
