Can I suggest an issue I went wrong doing the same thing with Cornwall council, don’t get it de registered yet, appeal you council tax band rating first as it is. When it drops a band bracket you can then appeal for the 12 month exemption as it’s uninhabitable. Trying to appeal the band at a later date becomes impossible as the council are buggers…
Create yourself a compost bin, yeah, a big one but you won't regret it n will save yourself time n money lugging all that garden waste out (better than putting it in landfill). And, you'll have loads of fabulous compost for your future garden. You've done loads of work, well done 👏🏼
Seems like there's a lot more land and space than it initially seemed now you're clearing. Love the project, looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
I just happened across this video and immediately fell in love with this place! And subscribed of course. You could leave the one sink as a garden 'pond.' I have several in my garden and now i have baby frogs! I couldnt be happier to have them in my garden. And the birds like a place to drink too.
Great work🎉😊. It seems at times, that these councils/government, want to tax just about everything, grr. Tis my pet hate I'm afraid. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how you progress on your journey with this beautiful cottage 🏡🌿
I have enjoyed seeing you videos and progress. I obviously don't know your circumstances but I would be tempted to completely clear the site before thinking about decisions about where to place your log cabin or have your garden etc. Seeing it in different seasons may alter your thoughts. You may come across a sring/well. Being able to purchase land may also have an influence over which way it faces. All the best :-)
Looks like a great project although I think it would be a shame if you knocked down original cottage at the centre of all the lean to add-ons. Traditional 1up 1down cottages are charming and getting rare to find these days. Good luck with everything and I’d thinks twice about giving the Landy away, you could trade it for some valuable winter heating wood?
Yeah it’s crazy isn’t it. Hopefully I’ll get it deleted from the council tax register for the time being but I really have no ideas how that’s going to go. Sadly I’m not allowed to have the single occupancy discount while applying to have it removed from the register which is just ridiculous. I’ll probably make a shirt about this soon. As for riots, well we become about to docile and apathetic in this country now to riot over things like that. I don’t remember those riots but info remember blocking refineries wheb fuel became a pound per litre. None of that kind of behaviour these days.
Do you plan on putting the house back on the register when its complete? And is there a way to dispute the amount? I just wondered if you knew how much you could expect to be paying living off grid in a small house, no bin collection or other services, essentially like yours. I guess I will wait to find out. Thanks for the vids!
@@TheCornish123456 I supppose thats why you pay road tax, to upkeep the roads that you use, however for council tax this goes towards police and libraries and waste disposal which I assume some of which he might utilise at some point but not a lot so I see why youd want to dispute the price, it can seem a little unreasonable sometimes
@@charc8951 no such thing as road tax hasn't existed for a very long time, VED is a tax on owning a vehicle and goes to general taxation. Maintenance of local roads is funded by council tax and grants from government for potholes etc. I do agree it's is way to high and personally I wish the council would stop all the vanity projects and concentrate the core things, maintenance of the roads paths etc, collecting the bins / waste disposal and looking after the old and vulnerable.
Because it don’t think many would pay much for it and it’s probably going to be so hard to get out of the property it feels like a fair trade to me that if you can move it you can have it.

Loving this. Can see your film making skills improving each time!!
What a great plot of land! Good luck with the electricity and water companies 🤞🏻 I’ll be watching your journey
You need a mate with a mini digger. You would tidy that up in no time. Enjoy the journey !

Well done on the continued clearing of the grounds.
Real progress! Great to see further into the garden.
Definitely starting to make a difference!
Loving it
Great progress. Keep going. 😊
The land rover will be worth a good few quid! Even as parts they go for good money, worth selling rather than giving away

Just found your channel, I was born in North Cornwall inbetween Wadebridge and Bodmin. Where is your lovely cottage located?
Near Mount Hawke. media.rightmove.co.uk/38k/37769/148588094/37769_LAT221268_DOC_00_0000.pdf
probaly near penzance
Have you located the spring?
Sound is too low, thank you.
You could use the tyres as raised beds to grow vegetables
Why don't you sell the tractor
